OK, I have figured out how to upload a photo onto a posting but not onto my actual blog page.

I'll figure it out another day.

Here is my wonderful family:
Andrew (Hubby), Reece (sitting on Hubbies lap) and Adam (sitting on my lap).

Rainy Saturday

Yesterday wasn't a bad day really, I was really busy at work (which is unusual for a Friday) but managed to get through it.
I went for a walk at lunch but didn't get very far (Mitre 10 Mega in fact) as I was dying for a decent coffee and thought I would spoil myself and pop in. Mitre 10 is in the street behind where I work so it took me all of about 8 minutes to get there. I went to the cafe for my coffee (12.10pm) and it was full with people waiting at the counter to be served, so I figured I would go for a wander around and come back but exactly the same situation a half hour later which means I didn't get my trim latte or have a decent walk *sigh*.

I figured I would hit the gym after work but that idea went by the by when hubby rang to ask if I could pick up the kids before 4.30pm (that's how long Kohanga stays open) as he was stuck in Wellington doing a job.

So here I am sitting in front of my computer with hubby at golf (I'm a regular golf widow) with my youngest son in bed (hopefully for about 2 hours) and oldest son in front of the telly watching The Wiggles and colouring in. The weather is horrible, raining and cold and I have a pile of washing to do (typical).

But on the up side of things, I have been drinking my water today and yesterday without too much of an effort and my eating has been above average!

I usually weigh in on a Monday morning on my home WW scales.
I haven't worked out how to put my stats down the side yet but I have a starting weight of 109.5kgs and will hopefully be posting a loss this week (an every other week..........LOL, think positive Rachel!!!). If I don't update tomorrow, I will definately update Monday morning after weigh in.

Ta ta for now.

Shared Lunches

My two sons are at Kohanga in Trentham and the last Friday of every month they have a 'shared lunch'. Therefore I have to make 2 plates of food and I always try and make an effort, so last night I made a chocolate cake with chocolate icing, 100's & 1000's sprinkles and leftover mini chocolates (from Easter) all around the edge. It looked very impressive and I also managed to not eat any of it! BUT then I made the second plate of food and I figured that because I made something sweet, I would make something savoury for the second plate and decided on mini bacon and egg pies (cup cake size). I made about 35 all up as there are about 20 or so kids at Kohanga and Hubby loves them (so a few extra for him), managed to give hubby about 8 and then put the rest on the plate but it was too many for the plate so instead of getting a bigger plate - yep you guessed it - I ate the extra 4 I couldn't fit on the plate. Now I was very good with my food yesterday so I figured it wasn't too bad until I started having reflux because of the pastry, plus it was 10pm by this time and I really wanted to go to bed.

DUMB, DUMB, DUMB!!!!!!!
I've decided to chalk it up to experience and not do it again. I figure that next time there is a 'shared lunch', I will make the food earlier in the evening and then put it away so I am not looking at it.

Apart from that, Thursday was pretty boring. Went down to Petone in my lunch break to get some birthday cards for my newphew's, bought a Mother's Day pressie for my Mum (who lives in Australia and arrives in NZ on May 13th) and a birthday pressie for my workmate.
There is a little shop in Jackson street called 'Miss & Mrs' and it is awesome, it is a real girlie shop with make up bags, lipstick cases, tissue holders, bags, slippers stuff like that and I love it, plus it isn't expensive - amazing ah?

Well I've rambled on enough for one day, I will say ta ta for now and wish everyone a healthy, active weekend (the weather here is suppose to pack up - typical!).

Lovely comments

I've had two comments back on my first post which I was really excited about. I have occasionally left posts on other blogs but didn't realise how good it felt when someone has read your blog and responded........thanks heaps girls.
As you can see, my page is very basic but I am going to get my good friend Jo (Just4Jo) to help me with it so watch this space...........LOL.
I had a lovely roast chicken for dinner last night that hubby had going by the time I got home which was bliss and I also tried to drink a litre or so of water as yesterday I was a bit slack with my water, so went to bed feeling lovely and full.
Not much more to report, blog you tomorrow!

First Post

I am totally inspired by the other girls journals I read and decided that I will do one for myself.
I have been for my 3rd walk at lunchtime today and only managed 2.3kgs which was pretty pathetic but better than I have done for a very long time.
