Weigh day

Another kilo bites the dust........105.9kgs now which is 4.4kgs in total, not bad if I say so myself.

I went and got my Subway on the way home (my treat for the week) and really enjoyed it.
Got home and had my bestest mate Jax ring for a good ole girlie chat (thanks honey!) and got to bed around 9pm to read my latest book 'Digital Fortress' by Dan Brown.

I also remembered to pack my sneakers/runners today with my huge salad and a bit of left over chicken that the boys had last night for dinner. I fully intend to go for a nice brisk walk at lunchtime while the weather is so lovely (don't forget I melt when it rains.......LOL).

Andrew was determined to take back that bloody nail gun I got him and get a concrete mixer and seeing as I had the docket, I met him down there. I managed to get a credit on the HP I started plus the $149.00 extra back for the nails and deck attachment thingy AND that ungrateful husband of mine ended up with NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Mitre 10 didn't have any concrete mixers so I told him he would have to just wait until a later date..............ha, that showed him!!

Righto best I get back to work *major sigh*................ ta ta for now :)

You can't beat Wellington on a good day

What a lovely sunny, warm day it is today - just makes ya feel good.

I had the new Chicpea curry WW dinner last night and must admit I didn't think much of it unfortunately. The curry sauce was divine but the chicpea's were tasteless???
I had some extra vege's with it as the spoonful of rice and 1 or two beans and brocolli just wasn't enough for me plus some vogels bread (love that!!!) and I was still under my points for the day.

Today I have tried the new berry WW cereal as I have just finished a box of Orchard fruits WW cereal and it was yummy. The berry one is just as nice if not nicer and as it is weigh in day (tonight at 6.30pm) I am drinking gallons of water (rather than this evening when I usually drink most of my water) which is a bit of a struggle. Lunch will consist of vitaweats with cottage cheese and pickles (YUMMO!!!) and I will have dinner AFTER weigh in.......hehehehe, every little bit counts.

Thanks for the kind words about my insensitive husband and his nail gun. He told me this morning that he has decided to take the nail gun back and get a cement mixer WTF?????
So I asked him what he intends to do with that and he reckons he is going to eventually re-do the driveways as they are cracked. I suggested that finishing the deck and fences would be good before he even thinks about the driveways but he had retreated to his 'cave' and wasn't listening to me.

I meant to mention that on the WW cereals packs there are some really yummy recipes with points value etc...

Apricot Crumble
Serves:4
Points per serve: 5 1/2

825g canned apricots, drained and chopped
1.5 cups (140g) WW orchard fruits cereal
1.5 tbs honey
50g WW canola spread, melted
cooking oil spray
Low fat yoghurt to serve (optional)

Preheat oven to 180, lightly spray dish with cooking spray
Put apricots in the prepared dish
In another bowl, combine the cereal, canola spread and honey
Sprinkle the topping over the fruit and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown

Serve with low-fat yoghurt (add 1/2 point for 50g)

Sounds good ay? I think I might try it on the weekend.

Another weekend gone

Well I had a very busy weekend but think I managed it quite well.
Saturday I did all my housework as we had visitors for dinner and wanted everything spick and span. Chinese for dinner and I think I did really well, stuck to all the vegetable dishes and stayed away from the battered fish and chicken with lemon and sweet and sour sauce.
I also had apple danish for desserts with custard and cream and managed to dish everyone up a plate except me.........YAY Rachel!
We had HEAPS leftover and I usually have a field day the next day but didn't have 1 little mouthfull which Andrew was quite pleased about as he got Chinese for breakfast on his birthday.

If you remember me saying, I got Andrew a nail gun which I thought was brilliant as he has a deck to finish and we are re-fencing our whole property plus he loves tools BUT what was the reaction I got when he opened it you ask?????? "Oh, that was a waste of money wasn't it? I will hardly use it" guess who wasn't impressed? Oh yes that would be me!!!!! Grrrrr ungrateful little so and so.
That didn't start the day very well for any of us but while he toddled off to golf, the boys and I still got his roast ready for dinner plus an apple crumble and baked him a birthday cake (I deserve a blinkin' medal sometimes).

When he got back from golf, we took the kids to the park for a while which they loved as they had been stuck inside the day before because of the horrible rain. Roast for dinner and apple crumble for dessert (I didn't have any), and banana/chocolate birthday cake (I had one small piece).

I ended the day with a lovely hot bath and then finished off my Da Vinci Code book.....aarrgghh

All in all I reckon I didn't do too bad over the weekend for food............it could have been better but at least I have broken my old habits of just pigging out and then moaning about it afterwards. Roll on weigh in tomorrow night..........hehehehe.

Big Weekend

I have been such a good girl with my food this week I even surprise myself.......LOL
Water has been good as well and my 'tight' jeans that I have on today as actually not completely cutting me in half.......hahahahaha.

I am going out for lunch today with 2 good friends from work (good ole' Mitre 10 Mega) as a double celebration as one of their birthdays is on Sunday (same day as Andrew's) and the other was nearly 2 weeks ago.
I mentioned it to Andrew last night and now he wants to come (bugger it!), I know that sounds horrible but I have to pick up part of his birthday present on my way out and I don't want him anywhere near me or he will get an idea about what he is getting and I love to surprise him.
I went in there on Wednesday and purchased a nail gun for his birthday because he has always wanted one and I figure it will benefit me as well as he will get the deck finished and the fences done quicker because he will want to play with it (cheeky ay?). I also got a box a nails but have now been told by a couple of DIY men that they are too long and I have to get the smaller one's.
So I figured I would just pick them up today on my way back to lunch but now 'nosy' is going to come to lunch, that has ruined that plan.

Anyway, it will be golf for him early Saturday morning (me housework) and then we are going to go to Porirua and pick up some fence pailings we got off trademe. We then have about 8 people coming for dinner for Andrew's birthday (Chinese - I have saved points) and then Sunday is his actual birthday and I am hoping it is a nice day so he can 'play' with his present and get the deck finished.........hahahahaha.
Sunday night is a roast for dinner which will be nice because I haven't had one for weeks and weeks.

Work - I have ISO auditors here today and I'm guessing they will be up at any moment so I'd better get going, have a nice weekend everyone :)

Weigh in......

.900grams gone!!!!!
Yeah Baby!!!!
Bringing me down to 106.9kg which is a total of 3.4kgs in 2 weeks...........gotta love that.

Had a really good couple of days which isn't a surprise now I'm back at work. I have been getting back into my salad's with cooked chicken on top and have been really loving it.
Did I tell you all that I picked up the WW Seafood Rissotto and it was just divine?
That and the vegetarian lasagne are my favourite and they seem to be the hardest to find, I have been to 3 different supermarkets in the last 2 weeks and not one of them had these dinners.

Today I have had 2 pieces of toast with jam (Burgen? or something like that - really nice) and for lunch I have 4 or 6 (haven't decided yet) vitaweat crackers with a sundried tomato & basil lite tuna.............yummo! Afternoon tea is a apple crumble WW bar, I haven't decided what is for dinner but my freezer is bare so I will be visiting the supermarket on my way home.

Off to visit Jo for a coffee and a natter tonight and that should be me :)

Why?

Why do I do really well all week and fall over on the weekends? I know I keep asking myself this but everything I try just doesn't seem to work.

This weekend I decided to keep myself busy and not think about food which went brilliantly on Saturday and I was very happy Saturday night and even got a few WW biscuits with my coffee.
Sunday was a different thing, I have sort of had a cold the last week or so - you know the ones that just won't come? They tease for days with sore bones, sore throat, clogged up nose but never really turn into anything serious............well on Sunday I woke up feeling yuk but still OK (make sense?). I managed to get some housework done once Andrew went to golf (he cooked me a lovely omelete for breakfast) and made the kids lunch and then Adam went for his afternoon sleep about 1pm and that's when I hit a brick wall. Reece wanted to play on the computer which I said yes to and I sat on the couch with a blanket, coffee and the remote and watched mindless TV (The E channel) for 3 hours *gasp*......... I know, I know............
Reece thought it was Christmas because he is never aloud on the computer for that long but he was a quite as a mouse the whole time and Adam slept for nearly 4 hours (didn't I pay for that later on.........LOL). At about 3pm I was really hungry so I went to the back fridge and got out a KING SIZE Crunchie bar and figured if I gave half to Reece it wouldn't be as bad (???? Duh!).

Andrew got home and bought fish and chips (for him and the kids) but I just couldn't resist. I had 1 fish and 2 chip buddies *sigh* and then (of course) I felt worse that night as I felt like I had a layer of fat in my mouth.

Managed to get my ironing done before I went to bed and woke up this morning feeling OK (not sick enough to stay home) but it is now 3.24pm and I'm feeling crappy again.
I have so much on this week that I just can't afford to have any time off which sux.

Anyhoo - It's Andrew's 37th birthday on Sunday and we have some friends coming over Saturday night for a Chinese meal and I have already gone through my 'takeaway points book' and worked out what I can have plus I have a whole week to save a point here and a point there.
Then on Sunday we are going to have a 'family day' with just us and the kids and I will cook him a yummy roast for dinner. He is one of the hardest people to buy for but I managed to get tickets to 'The Laughing Samoans' which are these comedians that he just loves and we are going to go out for dinner before the show (more points to save up.......LOL).
To say weekends are challenging is an understatement!

Not much else to report - ta ta for now.

What a blast!!!

Went out with Karen, Helena, Jo (Birthday Girl), Rose and Karen to the Trentham Carvery on Wednesday night for dinner and we had such a good time. We all laughed so hard that our cheeks hurt. We were definately the loudest table in the place but didn't care.

Foodwise I was excellent as I had only had my toast for breakfast and then 3 kiwifruits during the day so I would have enough points in case I needed them but I really didn't. I had a small dinner roll and pumpkin soup for starters and then for main I had a wee bit of pork, two slices of beef, 1 small piece of potato, 1 piece of Kumra, 1 piece of cauliflower (with cheese sauce), 1 small spoonful of some sort of pasta bake (average) and heaps of carrots and cabbage - I would have had more cabbage but HELENA took it all........................hahahahaha, just joking mate! That's it, no dessert but a few glasses of wine and 1 gin, lime and lemonaide (YUM!). I felt excellent at the end of the meal and not full at all, just comfortable.

Yesterday was quite a nice day (work and home) and my eating is right on track. I was never a WW cereal girl as I just don't like there variety of cereals but at our meeting on Tuesday night they told us about the new range so I went and picked up the 'Orchard Fruits' and it is divine!

THE TRICK to Toilet training - As most of you know, I have a 'just turned two year old' in my house and I have decided that I wasn't going to rush him into toilet training because I tried doing that with Reece and he just resisted and ended up not being toilet trained until he was 3..............anyway, I went to pick the boys up from Kohanga on Wednesday and the teacher asked if they could now have 'pull-ups' for Adam as he is practically toilet trained. I said 'what? toilet trained' and they said that he has been going to the toilet for a couple of day's now without a problem.
I took him home and they had only put a pair of undies on him, so I asked if he wanted to go to the toilet and he said 'yes mummy', so I took him off and put him on the loo - HERE IS THE TRICK - I sat him (as advised by Kohanga) on the toilet backwards, yep facing the back of the toilet and let him go and he sat there without falling backwards and thinking he was going to fall off as all his weight was leaning forward and he went! He then hopped off put his undies back on and off he went AMAZING! I have been doing this for 2 days now and he has only had one accident but that was because he was calling me to go but I was in another room and couldn't hear him. Admittedly he hasn't done 'number 2's' yet - he waits until we put him bedtime nappy on but I'm sure that will come soon....................I am such a proud Mummy. So to all you mother's out there who want to start toilet training, try that and see what happens :)

I am helping a friend move house tomorrow and then going to our old neiboughs for dinner (chinese) so will be taking my WW takeout book with me. Have a good weekend everyone.

Right back to work I go.

2.5kgs gone !!!!

Yep, weighed in last night and I have lost 2.5kgs (now 107.8kgs).............I just love this little boost weight loss gives me - I feel better about everything.

FUNNIEST thing happened after the WW meeting, I took Andrew's work car to the meeting (Cadbury's - Dairy Milk signwritten all over it) and when we were leaving there were 2 ladies behind me and one whispered to the other (didn't realise I still heard them) "Poor lady, she is on WW and works for Cadbury's, that must be hell).........hahahaha I had such a giggle to myself. They are of course right (except it is Andrew's car and not mine) because he has only been there 2 days and has already bought home heaps of crunchie's, lemon cheesecake and chewy fudge chocolate & Moro Gold bars and I have managed only 3 pieces (which I counted) of the fudge chocolate and everything else I took to work and gave away.......impressive huh!

Going out for dinner tonight with a few girls for Jo's birthday..........really looking forward to it and have managed to save a few extra points (just in case).

Good food and good company

What a lovely weekend I've had, I can't say THAT every weekend.

Saturday I really didn't do much apart from housework plus look after a sick little boy (Adam), just teething I think as he was just grissly with red cheeks etc.... He seemed fine today.
Saturday night Jo came for dinner and I made a yummy sweet chilli chicken breasts that I got from Paulene and also made Felicity's salad which was just 'to die for' with Foccosia (spelling?) bread. Ate that meal well within points as I had planned for it and hadn't eaten lunch (only breakfast) but alas I fell over when we got out the Mini eclairs that I got from the supermarket because I was too lazy to make a dessert *sigh* I have looked and looked in my points books and can't for the life of me find out how much they are worth - Pam's Mini Eclairs, anyone?

Sunday Reece had a birthday party to go to in Lower Hutt that went from 10am - 1.30pm, drop off optional (definately!). Got there at 10am and told Andrew I would go in for 30 minutes or so just until Reece was comfortable and then he (and Adam) could come back and get me and we would go for a wander around Westfields. At 10.30am they had 'Harry the Clown' turn up and he was awesome, I laughed and laughed (oh - so did the kids) but didn't watch the clock and when he had finished it was 11.30am and Andrew and Adam weren't happy little campers...hehe. We went to Westfields and had a look around and a bit to eat at the foodcourt (I had a kebab and counted it at 6 points?) and then we headed back to the party to pick up Reece.

We carried onto Big Save Furniture to price some sofa beds and nearly had a heartattack at the prices ($900 onwards for what we wanted), needless to say Trademe will be our next port of call. Headed home and I tried to lay down with Adam as he wasn't well (still) but needed a sleep and wouldn't leave my site. I managed to get an hour and a half (broken sleep) which was better than nothing. Ended up having left-overs for dinner (yum) and watched The Longest Yard movie on TV (love Adam Sandler) and then off to bed.

All in all an enjoyable weekend had by all.

Got up early this morning as it is Andrew's first day at Cadbury's and I wanted to make sure we were all organised as I had to take the kids to Kohanga and then drop Andrew off (he will be getting his company car today) and managed to get the kids and Andrew to work early ...love that!

I am still being slack with my exercise and I need a good ole kick in the butt. I weigh in tomorrow night and told Andrew I will be going to aqua straight after plus I have still been taking the stairs at work (3 floors up) rather than the lift which is OK (not getting easier either) but will have to get a bit more focused. All in all, I am quite looking forward to my first weigh in back at WW as I feel I have been really good (compared to anything else I have done over the last 2 years) and think the scales will show it (fingers crossed).

By the way - does anyone know why my side bar has repositioned itself at the bottom of the page? How do I fix it?

Tagged

THE RULES: The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself ". In the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
The people who get tagged need to write a blog about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Chubbymum passed this onto me, so I am continuing with it because I love hearing weird stuff about people (that should have been one of my 5).

Number One: I hate people who chew gum with their mouths open and I can’t help but tiss at them or give them a filthy look

Number Two: I can’t stand seeing hair on peoples clothes and just have to pick it off (even total strangers)

Number Three: I am petrified of dogs, especially big dogs even if their owners tell me that they don’t bite yet I owned a long haired German Shepherd for 13 years and wasn’t afraid of him once

Number Four: I am the ‘chic flick’ Queen and can’t get enough of them, whenever my hubby and kids aren’t around I put one on and sit there crying like a big baby.

Number Five: Copying both CactusFreek and Chubbymum with the birthday theme, I was born on the 7th of the 7th (July) 1970.

My 5 people to tag are:

Paulene
Helena
Ang
Carla
Sue

Can't wait to go and read yours..................chow.

Ew Yuck!

I was reading either Kate or Carla's blog yesterday and they asked if any other bloggers click on the 'Next Blog' on the top right hand side of the screen. I never have, so I thought I would give it a go and there ae some pretty weird people out there (and the occasional sane one) but I came across a couple from LA who are on holiday in Mexico and they went to a restaurant and said that the below picutre was of one of the best meals they have had so far...........OMG, I gagged when I seen it and if it was served up to me I would be hightailing it out of there quick smart.

Can you imagine what there diet is like if they think this is a good meal????
What the heck is on the plate anyway - I can't even work out what sort of food it is.

I have just worked out how to add links (hence Kate and Carla's link), how exciting. I am slowly working out how this blog works.

I finished up on 22 points exactly last night which was excellent but I must admit, I did get hungry later that night. I had a weight watchers meal (Vege Lasagna - my favouite) but I think I should have done some extra vegetables to go with it - live and learn :)

Right, I'm off to go and play with my blog a bit more.

Weight Watchers girl again

UPDATE - 3.44pm

I am going to start writing a recipe book called Blogger Recipes because I am getting the most gorgeous recipes off you ladies.
Paulene - a couple of crock pot recipes (cooking the chicken drumstick one on Sat night)
Felicity - Yummy salad I am making on Sat to go with my chicken dish)
Helena - Zucchini quiche which was bloody beautiful

I have all of these written on little bits of paper and I intend to write them all up soon, so I just wanted to say 'Keep them coming girls!'

Well I re-joined again last night and weighed in at 110.3kgs which is only 400grams more than my home scales, so this is my 'starting' weight.

I was suprised at how much things had changed. I haven't been back since I was pregnant with Adam (about 2 & 1/2 years) and the meeting fee is now $17.90 and I'm pretty sure I was only paying either $13.95 or $15.95 - anyhoo I paid it (plus another 5 weeks - 6 week plan) and bought a Women's Weekly on the way which had a FREE Registration so that saved me $33.00.
I stayed for the meeting and will be staying for the meeting from now on plus I realised that the meeting finishes at 7.30pm and that is when aqua starts at H20 xtreme which I have to drive by on my way home - that's a plan!

I have even drank 2 glasses of water so far this morning rather than leaving it all for the afternoon/evening. I didn't know how the 'No Count' really worked so found out about that as well and have decided it isn't for me, I am going to stick to the Points plan. I also wanted to get onto the WW website and join up for the online tools but when I went on there this morning I realised you have to get something from weight watchers (a number or something) so I will have to weight until next week.

Feel very positive about my weightloss again............long may it last!!!!!

Plus I got another bit of good news this morning - Reece got into Belmont Primary which is a relief and he starts his pre-visits at the end of September (my babies going to school *sob*).

Righto - Over it

G'Day there, I am feeling much better today.

Got home last night and Andrew told me he got a job with Cadbury's that he really wanted and starts next week............yeeha! This is good because he gets a company car which will save a huge amount of money for us as we currently run 2 cars and one is a Nissan Patrol 4x4 that costs about $70 a week to fill (no kidding!). Plus it will be great getting back to 2 incomes again as for the last 2 or 3 years he has been only working part time and looking after the kids and it has been a major stress when it come to money, so I am REALLY happy and relieved for him and us as a family.

We decided to leave the kids with their Pop and go up to the Cossie club for a meal and some drinks to celebrate, now for the people out there who know me - I'm not a drinker but yet I managed to polish off one and a half bottles of wine and between 5 - 7 gin, lime and lemonaide's (my memory on that one is a bit fuzzy).

But the best thing about last night was being alone together to have a good talk. I told him how down I was and that I needed a bit of 'Rachel' time and he agreed. His first thought was that I wanted to go to my mate Jax for a holiday (she lives in Whangarei) which would be awesome (love ya Jax) but we just don't have the money to do that (not yet anyway). I told him that I really need something else to help me with my weightloss as it is consuming me at the moment and because I am not getting on top of it, I am getting really down. We talked about when I was doing really well and losing lots of weight and put it down to me being at Weight Watchers. I didn't use to hang around for the meetings but just the accoutability of going every week and stepping on those scales was a major boost, so as of tonight I am re-joining (for about the 5th time) but I have vowed to stay for the meetings as well for the extra support. Then I am going to concentrate on the exercise, I really don't know if the answer is joining a gym or not but will talk about this at the meetings. I now feel I have a wee bit of control left and feel alot better.

Thanks for all your supportive comments as they really meant alot. I know all the right answers but sometimes I just need to be reminded of them and having time for myself is something I haven't done for years. Onwards and upwards!

Major blowout..........bugger!

900grams up..............I would like to say 'How did that happen' but unfortunately I know. After being a diet queen Monday - Friday, the weekend rolled around and I just went crazy.
McDonald's Friday night, chocolate biscuits and popcorn while watching a movie, subway (foot long) and then about 6 slices of bread for breakfast BOTH morning.......why, why, why???
PLUS I didn't do my 'challenge' and get my ass on that bike of mine.

I'm not making any excuses for doing it as I usually have a bad weekend but this one tops the list of 'worst weekend' for quite some time.

I had quite an emotional weekend as well, TOM is due which doesn't help I know but I had a fight with Andrew on Saturday morning and that is still going, I am JUST talking to him.
Plus I had figured I would get the washing done Saturday morning as it was such a beautiful day (which I did) and then got the kids bundled up in the car so we could take the DVD's back to the video store and head to the park and by the time we got there it was raining and clever Mum didn't bring any raincoats (I really didn't think it was suppose to rain?). So we drove around for 30 minutes or so just to keep them occupied, Adam fell asleep so I thought I'd better head home. Once home I tried to transfer the little angel into his bed but OH NO, not on your nelly was he having a bar of that which meant he was up all day without a sleep (apart from 5 minutes in the car) and was in a foul mood and decided taking it out on his brother would be fun.........NOT! It got so bad with them fighting that I ended up sitting on the couch crying (which got their attention) and I NEVER do that. They settled down a bit after that (for at least an hour) while I got dinner started. Their father got home at about 5.30pm, we ate dinner about 6pm and he was asleep on the couch by 7pm. I eventually got the kids bathed and into bed and thought I would head off to bed about 9pm to read my book and then he woke up and started moaning about 'what a great Saturday night this is' with all of us in bed by 9pm just when he wakes up............boo bloody hoo!

Sunday I was up by 7.30pm (sleep in really) but Andrew stayed on the couch all morning while I feed him and the kids and then I hit a brick wall and lost the plot. I told him that if he could go out for 6 hours (golf the day before) and then spend his day on the couch doing nothing then I was heading out for the day myself. I jumped into my car and off I went (didn't know where at that stage) I ended up at Westfield's and decided to look for a new pair of boots for work as I am living in one pair at the moment. Couldn't find any shoes but managed to get myself 2 tops for work in Farmers, so I headed to No.1 Shoe store and got myself a nice pair of shoes which come to my ankles with little zips up the side (god knows why but it looks nice) and they only cost me $60.00 the ones in Westfields were between $189 - $220.00 - I don't think so!

Got another DVD for us on the way home (River Queen - hated it and turned it off half way through) and got home to see Andrew still on the couch with his blanky and the kids demolishing the house *sigh*. I ignored this and cooked dinner and for some reason didn't get to bed unit 11.30pm..............not a great weekend to say the least BUT what I wanted to say is, while in Westfields I noticed heaps of couples where the women was overweight and their partner and kids weren't and it reminded me of my family. All of these women looked untidy and unkept and all there rolls etc were showing and I had to go to the toilets as I just started bawling. I looked at myself in the toilet mirror and thought "Oh my god, I look like that" and it was really depressing because all those women didn't realise that they looked like slobs (just like me) and it was just humiliating realising that I look like that. So after my wee cry, I went to Subway (instead of the foodcourt where I wouldn't have been really bad) and then home.

Today I am wearing one of my new tops and my new shoes and I feel heaps better plus I also bought some Revlon age defying makeup that my sister put me onto (which I forgot to put on but I will tomorrow) as I have never wore foundation or much make-up really and I think it is about time I took better care of my appearance. So this coupled with my healthly eating (weekends included) and exercise (I am SO getting on that damn bike tonight) I am going to stop mopping about and do something.

I love reading your blogs out there that are so focused on exercise and I just want to know how I can get there??? One day soon ------

Tight jeans

Well I found a pair of black jeans (bootlegs) from a couple of years ago that I just LOVE but they are a bit tight BUT I decided to wear them anyway which, so far, has been a good idea because eating isn't even entering my head because if I put anything in my mouth these jeans are going to get tighter and cut me in half. When I got down to my lowest weight these jeans were practically too big and now they are tight (to say the least) which has given me a good ole' burst of encouragement that I need.

I have been a good food girl but alas, that bike in the garage is gathering dust and I made myself a challenge to get on it this week and I think TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!

I cooked a really nice Fish pie for dinner last night and even took off the mashed spud and just ate the filling which was divine. I had good intentions of doing some fresh steamed vege's with this but somehow it never happened, it was good anyway and I don't think I ate too much?

Sue sent me her old points guides (thanks heaps for that Sue - they are like brand new) and looking briefly in them this morning before work, I was horrified to see that I haven't been as good at guessing the points as I thought (whoops). Must get that under control.

Don't have heaps planned for the weekend really, housework of course (boring) and I really want to try and get the kids OUT OF THE HOUSE as they seem to have been stuck inside for weeks and weeks. Andrew has been doing work at home and I have also been pottering around which means we haven't gotten out but we really need to make an effort for the boys.

Right I have gabbled on enough - have an awesome weekend everyone :)

Plodding along

Not much happening in my neck of the woods this week (shock horror!!!)........LOL

Been a good food girl and a bad exercise girl, I'm sitting here thinking of why I am a bad exercise girl and I can't come up with an answer. I have my bike sitting in the garage all ready to go and my legs are working fine so there isn't an excuse apart from the truth - lazy, lazy, lazy.

Have had a couple of busy days at home just with the kids and housework etc as Andrew has been working some long hours and I have been 'johnny on the spot'. I am amazed at how much he does do at home until he isn't there doing it :) He is a good boy - sometimes -.

Challenge to myself before the end of the week - GET ON THAT BIKE GIRL!

I had a really yummy chicken thingy last night that was in the crockpot all day (mmmmmmm), simple as anything. It was about 6 or 8 chicken thighs (skinned) in the bottom with 1 large onion and about 10 mushrooms with salt and pepper and a tin of 'chopped Indian spices tomatos'. I found this new flavour in the 'tinned tomato' range on Monday night while picking up a few things from pak n save and it is really yummy - not to hot or spicy but enough to know it's there. Just cooked it all day on low (approx. 9 hours) and it was divine when Andrew and I had it last night.

That's me for today girls.............talk to you soon
