GAIN: 900g (oops)
Total loss: 22.8kgs
Current weight: 87.5kg
No suprise there unfortunately, I actually wasn't that upset because I have had HEAPS of social outings this week and have thoroughly enjoyed myself.
This week is going to be the kicker, I've GOT to make better choices than I did last week and tone down the alcohol consumption.
On the wife vs hubby challenge - I LOST! Grrrrrrrr. I am actually really happy for Andrew who is quite chuffed with himself.
Even though I only lost 500g over the whole challenge (hubby lost 1.3kg) it is still a loss and not a gain which is brilliant.
Got to admit I am really looking forward to having the next month off work, mainly because I will be spending it with my kids (quality time) but partly because I can get my house in order. I find trying to run the house, organising the kids and working full time just gets a bit too much sometimes and things slip and it is usually my house work (I cringe when I think about that because I love a clean house).
If you walked into my house today it would look tidy but it really needs a good clean (ie. floors washed, windows washed, sink scrubbed - ya know that sort of stuff), so I am going to use my first week for cleaning (top to bottom) and that includes cleaning out (again) the kids wardrobes, clothes and toys.
Once it is done I will be able to sit back and relax.
The only other thing I want to achieve before we fly off to Australia is getting the hallway and lounge undercoated with all skirting boards, doors and ceilings painted - not a big ask eh?.......LOL
I am also going to have to be SUPER organised because I am a 'pantry swinger' when I am at home on the weekends and that isn't good so I will have to keep myself occupied and plan my meals (even snacks) as best I can.

I'm still here
Well where do I start?
Last Friday the lady who I work with didn't arrive for work which was strange because she is ALWAYS here before me. Then her hubby rang to say she had been admitted to hospital the night before with a suspected heart attack.....scary.
Anyway the poor women is still in hospital today (5 days later) and they are 99% sure it isn't a heart attack (she's 57 years old) but a blood clot somewhere so she got transferred to Wellington hospital this morning for an angiogram (sp?).
Unfortunately it is our busiest couple of weeks of the year and I've been totally snowed under. I am actually sitting here typing this on my lunch break because I just don't have any other time.
So this explains the absence.
Sunday 9th was my company's Kids Xmas party which was a total blast and the boys had so much fun it wasn't funny.
They had 'BJ Bear', 'Charlie Chicken', an air castle and of course SANTA.
Both my kids has always been very wary of Santa and I have never gotten a photo of them with Santa but this year I told them that Santa had rung me and said he was sad because they hadn't gone to see him or say hello so they were 'sweet as' at both the Xmas parties they have been to.
The theme was cowboys and indians.
Then last Friday night was Adam's daycare's Christmas party which was a really hoot, again they had the ole air castle and Santa made another appearance.
Saturday was 2 x hip hop concerts which Dad and Andrew attended as I had Adam's swimming and other things on my agenda.
Dad said the first show was brilliant and he really got into it and new all the moves and just shone :)
Andrew said the night show was only OK as he spent most of the time looking for his Daddy but did most of the dance.
Saturday night was my Work's Xmas party and I had the best time out I've had in YEARS. The theme was cowboy, indians and saloon girls and I decided a saloon girl it was going to be!
They had taxi's pick us up at 5pm and take us all the work where we had a couple of drinks (I had a few bourbons) then a bus took us on a 30 minute trip to a beautiful location where we had dinner and spent the night (I started on bourbons and then after dinner decided wine was a great idea *groan*).
The bus came back at midnight to take us back to work where the taxi's were waiting to take us home (I have no memory of this at all - apparently I slept most of the way). Unfortunately for me I was on the taxi ride home with the Company Director and one of the Senior Managers (and their wives) and they didn't know where I lived and it took them 20 minutes to get it out of me (again, no memory of this at all!).
After finally arriving home then Senior Manager had to carry me from the taxi to my front gate as I couldn't walk where I then told him I was fine and watched them drive away (unfortunately I have vivid memories of this) and once they'd gone I proceeded to drop to my hands and knees and throw up for about 10 minutes (didn't make it to the loo like Leenie).
Hence I was the sickest I've been in years - no wait - EVER!!!!
Andrew had to get up the next morning and clean up after me and then entertain the kids for the morning while I tried to not pass out or vomit when I moved.
Anyway - here is a photo of me at the start of the night with my sisters and brother-in-laws.
Here is me with about an hour or so left of memory (look at the size of those glasses).
I then got to go to both the hip hop concerts on Sunday. The 2pm one is a bit of a blur but Reece spotted me and was a happy camper even though he only danced through some of their song. But when I went back for the 6pm session (where I got to sit next to Leenie and giggle about what old lush's we are) I felt heaps better and really enjoyed the show. When Reece's group came out I was really excited but that soon fell away when he didn't do any of the dance (apart from 1 or 2 moves) as he was too interested in looking for me or looking at the pretty disco ball on the ceiling or just at the other's dancing.............hence there will be no more hip hop next term!
Here's one last photo of my little rapper:
Last night was another night out at friends for hotdog and drinks and I was definately the DRIVER......no alcohol passing these lips until Xmas day.
So as you can all imagine the good work I've done on the BEAST (ie. treadmill) and eating has all gone out the window with my night out.

Weigh in
Loss: 200g
Total Loss: 23.7kg
Current weight: 86.6kg (new lowest weight - FINALLY!)
Well I am very pleased with this result as I haven't really held back on the numerous social events over the December period (weekends).
I am a bit confused with my Wife vs Hubby Challenge weight this morning which was 86.8kg which is a gain of 300g from last week and I was naked and it was first thing this morning (TMI???? sorry).
Andrew weighed in at 82.8kg which is a loss of 200g which is fantastic, so he is the winner for this week.
Obviously next week will be better once we have had a full week on THE BEAST (our new treadmill), looking forward to that.
Reece had his first full dress rehearsal for his Hip Hop concert and he looked very cool in his Lime green top and black 3/4 hip hop pants and black hip hop shoes with gelled hair (they are doing a Shrek thing - hence the green top). The shows are on Saturday and Sunday so I will make sure I take a photo or two.

Catch up
Busy busy busy, don't ya just love December .......... NOT!
I'm simply amazed at how many things I have to try and fit in for this month.
Trying to catch up with friends before Xmas is nearly impossible.
There have been so many things on since last week I don't know where to start, I think I'll cheat and just list things rather than write about them:
1. Underfloor insulation installed
2. Reece's Athletic day
3. Adam's daycare afternoon tea
4. Adam's swimming
5. Lunch with a friend and her kids
6. Coffee and a little shop with Helena
7. My work's kids Christmas party
8. Hip Hop dress rehersal's
9. Reece's school 'Christmas Carol's' night
10. Andrew's golf closing day (3 bottles of wine won - yaa ha!)
Still to come in the next 2 weeks:
1. Another full dress rehersal for Reece's Hip Hop
2. 4 Hip Hop shows on the weekend (2pm and 6pm both Sat & Sun)
3. DVS (condensation unit thingie) installation on Friday
4. Adam's daycare's Xmas party
5. Take Jetski in for repairs
6. Get tree chipper guy in to chop up trees
7. Arange bulldozer and nephew (who is a bulldozer driver) to take out stumps and roots and skim an extra carpad.
8. Get woodburner installed as soon as permit turns up from Council
9. Last session for the year for Adam's swimming
10. My work 'do' Christmas party
11. BBQ at friends house
12. 2 x birthday parties for Reece's friends to attend
13. Go and buy materials for fence (50 metres long - last one left to do)
14. Help BUILD fence (I think I'll do the sandwiches and coffee)
15. Buy paint for interior
16. sand down skirtings and doors in hallway before we go away
17. Undercoat hallway and lounge and top coat skirtings
18. Lay carpet in hallway and lounge and lino in bathroom and toilet
19. Oh yeah - lift existing tiles in bathroom and toilet before installers arrive
20. Work Xmas lunch (for our department)
21. Family Xmas lunch (23rd)
I'm sure there is more but I just can't remember at the moment (no bloody wonder!).
I also need to fit in Xmas day and on Boxing day we always go to Andrew's cousins because it is his birthday, New year's at a friends house and off to Oz the first week in January.
Andrew and I also went and bought ourselves a couple of treats which will also be our Xmas presents to each other.
Andrew got a 42" tv with an ambi light behind it (a light glows from behind which is suppose to be good for your eye's) and I got a HUGE treadmill - here it is.
I have been on it a few times and I just love it but the hardest thing now it trying to get time to get on it because hubby is always on it.........LOL.
With the TV purchase we also got a free MP3 player with headphones and another headphone set thing with bluetooth so we can download music on the MP3 player and both listen to it at the same time while we work out........oh how romantic.
I'm still struggling with my weekend eating and drinking but I think I've been lucky to pull it back with my strict routine during the week (fingers crossed).
Weigh in tonight and I'm not sure how that will go - maybe maintain? but I'm feeling less stressed about it (ie. scales) because I'm having a ball with this very social time of the year and even though I'm having a few things I shouldn't, I'm not going crazy and then beating myself up about it.
Catch ya tomorrow with the results.

Weigh in
Loss: 400g
Total Weight: 23.5kgs
Current Weight: 86.8kg (again)
Off goes the 400g (again) that I put on last week.....hahaha, that 400 grams just keeps comin' and a goin'. Happy that the scales went down rather than up.
DIDN'T do the 'no alcohol' last week but managed to half my consumption (only drank 2 bottles rather than 4 on the weekend). This weeks booklet tells me that a bottle of wine is worth 7 points which is actually less than what I had thought so I think I will allow for that each weekend because now I have the taste for wine, I'm pretty sure I don't want to give it up again and I'm useless at having just one.......LOL
Had a fabulous weekend, can't remember exactly what I did but it was fab and the weather was sunny and I had lots of BBQ's and time with the kids (oh yeah we did the park and a picnic) and just a nice relaxing couple of days.......noice!!
Wife vs Hubby challenge seen me win week 2 *evil snigger*.

Weigh in
Gain: 400g
Total loss: 23.1kg
Current Weight: 87.2kg
Ummmmmmm welllllllll that was last night, lets move on.
Wife vs Hubby Challenge posted much better results with me losing 700g and hubby losing 500g......WIN:WIN.
We were both suprised with a decent loss (in our eyes) after our over indulgent weekend. Onward and upward (or downwards in our case).
Another b - u - tiful day in Wellington which is lovely as I'm having to go out at lunch and TRY and find Reece a Lime Green T-shirt for his Hip Hop production on th 15th December (proving to be impossible). I am going to a material place today hoping they have a lime green dye or material. I'm hoping for the dye as it will be easier for me to dye a white t-shirt than try and find a seamstress to make a t-shirt in 2 weeks time.
Nothing else exciting happening here today, so I'm off to read some of you....bye

Another boozey weekend
Weightloss is not happening and I think I've figured out why (apart from the usual no exercise) ALCOHOL! I drank quite a bit on the weekend with the gorgeous weather while sitting out on the deck watching the kids play (most of the alcohole was drank AFTER the kids were in bed by the way....LOL).
Sunday night after feeding, bathing and putting the kids to bed hubby and I decided it was such a nice night we would (again) have a few drinks on the back deck since the weather was still very warm. Started my first glass at 7.30pm after saying to hubby that I wasn't hungry yet and would make something soon for dinner (he also wasn't hungry), at 10pm we were quite sossilled and starving and LAZY so we ordered pizza which arrived at 10.30pm and was scoffed down in about 5 minutes. This was then followed by us going to bed about 20 minutes later (bad idea on my part) and me up within an hour throwing up plus having wicked reflux (due to eating so late). I managed to down half a packet of 'quickeze' to help the refulx and then drank a litre of water. During the night I managed to wake up 6 times and either drank HUGE amounts of water or tended to Reece who has quite bad nose bleeds with the heat (my poor little fell).
Alarm went off at 5.50am and I was wide awake thinking about how stupid I can be sometimes. The more I seem to drink the worse my choices get (food wise that is...haha) and I think to myself "I'll worry about it tomorrow" which isn't a great idea because then I just beat myself up for being so mindless.
Oh yeah - plus I have made 6 christmas cakes and 4 dozen mini christmas mince pies (I give them away as presents, its just my 'thing') and I have managed to eat about half a dozen mince pies and quarter christmas cake.....yummm
So I have decided to put our remaining cake and mince pies out of sight (on top of my pantry where its a hassle to get to) until christmas day.
Needless to say I'm not expecting a loss this week but I'm fronting up to weight watchers to find out the damage I've done PLUS my little challenge with hubby isn't going to have a great first weigh in (Wed morning) and even he commented that its a challenge to see how much weight we can LOSE not PUT ON.......LOL
MINI challenge this week - NO ALCOHOL - NO CAKE OR XMAS PIES.
Paint samples.
I want to repaint the whole interior of our house (hubby doesn't but know's better than to argue with me.......LOL) so I choose the colour I want and he choose a different colour (typical) and we put them up on the weekend and have been walking past them looking, looking and the verdict is WE HATE BOTH COLOURS.
Back to the drawing board.
Took the kids to the park on the weekend which they just love, they have every bike, toy, sandpit, playhouse, scooter, waterslide etc at home but still have to go to the park at every opportunity. I've taken some photo's which I'd like to put into digital scrapbook pages but haven't had the chance as yet.
In the midst of organising 'stuff' to be done around the house (DVS system, new bed, carpet, woodburner, fences) and its all go. I just love organising for thing to be done, I reckon I should have a job as an event organiser or something - I'd be brilliant!

A good day
After waking up yesterday morning feeling horrible and bloated etc and then weighin in with Hubby and the challenge begining, I feel ON FIRE again.
I counted my points, I exercised, I made an effort because those 3 little words kept sounding off in my head - Decisions determine destiny - and I actually stopped and thought about every decision I made and it worked.
I got off my butt after dinner and did stuff (ie. ironing, washing, lunches etc) rather than scrolling through the 40+ channels on the TV to find nothing on but a couple of hours wasted. I felt fantastic getting up this morning and I had a clean house, clothes and lunches were organised for the boys and I spent a little longer on myself (painted my finger and toe nails and took more notice of what I was wearing). The other thing I did last night was bundle up all my clothes I don't wear now and ended up with a pile for trademe (god knows when I'm going to get time to list everything but *sigh*) and some of my really good expensive stuff for a very good friend (which I must get her address and send off hopefully today).
Today I'm wearing a pretty blue business shirt whil little buttons down the front, a scoop v neckline which sits just on my hips. When I looked in the mirror after getting dressed I thought I look HOT (even though it is business attire).
One thing that crossed my mind this morning was that the smaller I get the less clothes I wear..........LOL. What I mean is, I am wearing 3/4 black pants today which I never use to wear (even in the middle of summer) because of my HUGE calf's but they aren't so HUGE now. I have really nice high heel sandles style shoes because I have pretty painted toe nail which I never use to do. I have a little blue business blouse/top on and not a long sleeve sack that come down nearly to my knees to cover absolutely EVERYTHING......ahhh the little things.
I also think the 'at home' challenge which started yesterday is going to really help me focus again because I feel accountable to weight watchers once a week (which I won't stop) but with hubby, I feel accountable everyday which is quite a different feeling. I think so far it is keeping me more focussed.
I'm off for lunch today with two of my mates at 'The Spieghts Ale House' where I have full intention of having a wine with lunch (looking forward to THAT) which I'll count of course and because it is such a lovely day, I'll be walking down which is about a 10-15 minute walk each way (every little bit counts).
Just finished my breakfast (ww cereal and yoghurt) and am about to refill my water bottle. I hope everyone is having a fabulous day!
No weigh in
Yep that's right boys and girls.............I chickened out of weigh in.
I had a fabulous start to the week and that lasted about 2 days and it was all down hill from there. I think this is the 1st time I've chickened out since I (re:)started WW again back in August 2006 which isn't bad I reckon.
I woke up this morning with a huge headache, feeling bloated and horrible and wondered what I could do to make this 'down' period end and get back on track.
I had mentioned to hubby (who is also trying to lose a bit of weight at the moment) last night after dinner while sitting in front of the TV eating cereal and yoghurt (I know but it was better than chocolate right?) about Lyn and her hubby who are close in weight and are doing a challenge to see who can get to a certain weight first and asked him if it was something he and I should do? I knew we were similar in weight but didn't know exactly so we jumped on the scales this morning (my home ones) and I was 87.3kgs (would have put on 800g if I'd gone to ww as my scales are 300g lower than there's) and he was 83.4kgs which is a difference of 3.9kgs. We decided not to aim for a goal weight but rather go for gold and the winner will be whoever has lost the most weight by Christmas (5 weeks away). We are both competitive (he more than me) and the challenge is now set.
I am hoping this will give me some of my mojo back and will keep me more focussed as I will be looking at eating healthly for myself as well as him (as I do most of the cooking). Last night I had sushi (homemade I might add) for dinner and he and the boys had fish and chips...........not anymore sunshine!
There aren't any rules apart from eat healthly meals and exercise (whatever that may be), we wrote our weight down and will weigh in every Wednesday morning which will be great for me because it will stop me pigging out after weigh in on a Tuesday night.
Right in other news - We are waiting on the bank to approve and give us some extra money so we can get 'stuff' done around the house (listed in a previous post) and have all but about 1 or 2 quotes to come in. I'm very excited because everything will hopefully be done by February rather than us having to save and wait for years.
The best thing is the carpet in the lounge as all of us are floor lounges and lying on a wooden floor with a rug on it just isn't the same as carpet....*contented sigh*.
Oh yeah, we have also decided to bite the bullet and get a treadmill (god there's expensive).
Weather has been perfect (touch wood) for the last couple of days and as soon as we get home from work we have been setting up the waterslide for the kids and playing outside....bliss!
Haven't had any time or energy to do more scrapbooking which is a shame because I have heaps of idea's in my head. Roll on the Christmas holiday's so I have lots of time to do it.
Over and out.

Still here
Karen came to visit (with Rachel) on the weekend and mentioned I hadn't updated since last Wednesday....wow I didn't realise it was that long but I've been really busy at work and haven't had time.
Right what have I been up to since last Wednesday????? Bugger all actually, boring tart that I am.
Managed to take the kids to the park on the weekend and it was such a nice day yesterday we set the kid's sprinkler up and had a ball in the backyard most of the day.
Managed to 'pop' into the Warehouse yesterday to get a card for a friend and walked out $225.00 broker but I have now officially started my Christmas shopping....yay!
Went out to friends for a BBQ on Saturday night and had an absolute blast, I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I had such fun. There were 3 couples and 8 kids and the weather was perfect so we sat outside most of the night and the kids played outside. I got VERY drunk (and laughed at because I was slurring my words) and thought I'd eaten really well with a bit of meat and salad but I am now having flash backs of evil Mini Eclairs..................dumb dee do, silly girl..hehehe
That's about it.
Work is really busy at the moment which is normal leading up to Christmas.
I'm really looking forward to the 'last night' Christmas shopping in the malls because I get home and feed and bath the boys, put them to bed while hubby happily watches whatever dribble is on TV and I SHOP!!!!

Weigh in
Lost: 300g
Total loss: 23.5kgs
Current Weight: 86.8kg (again and again and again)
Can anyone say YO-YO?
Here is my weigh in's for the last 8 weeks......
86.8
86.9
87
87
87.2
86.8
87.1
86.8
Which means in the last 8 weeks (2 bloody months) I've lost N O T H I N G !
BUT
I've pulled my head in once again and am determined to get under 86.8kgs (my lowest weight to date) next week. Yes, I can see a few of you out there saying "it's only a number" but it's a number that has haunted me for 2 months and I want it to be a distant memory.
Jo put up 3 words on a post recently which I printed out and now have stuck on my wall at work which were DECISIONS DETERMINE DESTINY.........think about that for a minute, I'll wait.
You can use this for almost anything that is going on in your life but of course I'm relating it to my weightloss journey and how friggin appropriate are those 3 words?
Monday I managed to get 3 scrapbook pages done (2 from Kiwi chick's scrap - thanks girls) but my system was sooooooooooooo slow at home, I tried twice to attach it to Hotmail and send it here to work (so I could post it) but Hotmail was being difficult so I gave up. I might try again tonight.
Last night after weigh in, I had to shot back to Reece's school for another Numeracy meeting where they reported on the school's results compared to 2006 as well as the National average and I must admit we are doing really well for only being into our second year of this program.
OK I'm rambling now so I'll sign off.

Girls, girls, girls
I had quite a weekend with little girls.
Saturday was spent swimming with Adam and the other 'girls' in the class who are so little and petite compared to my boy.
I then spent Saturday night at Karen's looking after little Rachel who is the best well behaved baby (well she's actually 1 year old but seemed like a baby to me) I've ever looked after.
I got to do the night time routine (food, bath, bottle) but unfortunately I didn't get much time to play with her as she fell asleep over an hour earlier than expected as she had had a big day, which meant I got to sit and watch mindless TV for a few hours.......bliss!
Sunday was a 3 year old girl's birthday party with one other boy apart from Adam and heaps of little girls........very cute.
Apart from Rachel on Saturday night, I noticed that all the little girls were quite clingy with their parents while my little fella was as happy as larry doing his own thing. I think I much prefer that than having a clingy little girl.
Reece also had a mate over for the day on Saturday who then ended up staying the night. I took them to the park and I have to admit I am a over protective Mum because they were going on the 'big kids' playground (Adam included) and climbing things that were really high etc and I was so scared and panicky but they were more than capable and confident on what they were doing.
Only downfall to the night was that while I was out at Karen's, Reece and his mate thought shooting hotwheel cars out of their racing launcher was a good idea and managed to smash a couple of window's in Reece's room. Adam who had been asleep for over 2 hours got the blame which Andrew said was soooooooo funny (not at the time).
So its ringing the insurance company today to get that sorted.
Had a lovely BBQ last night and was still sitting outside at 8.45pm with the sun still out.....beauty mate!.
Eating and exercise was not good but as always (being Monday) I'm back on track today.

Counting points & Exercise
For those of you on Weight Watchers who count points, you will know where I'm coming from when I say "I can work out in my head how many points I've had today" right?
Yesterday I decided to eat what I class as 'healthy' and at set times (which is easy as I only stop for set breaks), I wrote everything down and added it up this morning thinking I was either on points or maybe even 1 or 2 under - NOPE - 5 1/2 points over .... oh man how did THAT happen?
So as of today my trusty little tracker and points guide went back into my handbag.
Exercise:
I really wanted to get on my bike and stepper last night but didn't manage it BUT Reece is practising for a Jump Off which is a skipping competition the Heart Foundation is holding and schools can participate (which his is) so he wanted me to practise with him. I was an excellent skipper at school so was looking forward to getting behind a skipping rope again - oh my god! - I only did about 10 minutes (this was properly less but it felt longer) and I was having major heart attacks, the kids where you have to learn against something bent over and gasping for breath.
Reece carried on skipping until I had caught my breath and then we were back into it but in much shorter bursts. I reckon I huffed and buffed twice as much as riding that bike or walking on that stepper.....phew hard work alright!.

Weigh in
Gain: 300g
Total loss: 23.2kgs
Current Weight: 87.1kgs
Man what is it with this hovering around the 87kgs mark - up then down, up then down, gotta stop this and get moving.
Thought it would be much worse even with my 3 days of exercise so I'm not going to dwell on it, just carry on with my good week that I'm having.
I am going into the Australian High Commission in Wellington to renew my passport which is taking me months because Australia don't recognise New Zealand Marriage Certificates which means I had to get a "Change of Name" Certifificate from the NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages and then my passport photo's were too far away and I had cut them too small AND lastly I had to have a bill with my name and address on it as part of my identification and everything is in Andrew's name.....DOH!
I did manage to get my rates with my name on it so that's now sorted. I have my change of name certificate, my current passport (in my maiden name) and my photo's which have been taken again and cut larger so they'd better not mess with me today.
The kids and I are going over to OZ in January so there can't be anymore mucking around because Australia requires your passport to be a minimum of 2 months old before you can enter the country - COME ON PEOPLE - I'M AN AUSTRALIAN TRYING TO GET BACK INTO MY OWN COUNTRY !!!!!!!
If I'd booked my tickets in my maiden name, none of this would have mattered - live and learn.

Scrapbooking
YAY I finally got a night to myself (hubby was again neglected) for some scrapbooking.
I did 5 pages but I'm not 100% happy with all of them, see what you think.
Bath time (not very happy with this - dunno why?)
I went through all my digital photo's to find ones of Adam and Andrew for a page for Adam's scrapbook (I'll also be doing one for Reece).
Adam - my little helper. Adam just loves to bake and when I seen this quickpage I just couldn't resist.
I was really amazed at how many photo's I had taken with the boys - NEXT TO NOTHING - seems I'm always the one with the camera. I love this page.
Last but not least, Reece's 6th birthday from a couple of weeks ago.
I have been seriously thinking about not weighing in tonight because I know it going to be nasty. I don't usually shy away from the ww scales even when I know I am going to have a gain but I really don't want the negative feeling that follows after a gain because I'm trying to be positive at the moment and get back on track - I'll decide tonight.
I did drink 3 litre's of water yesterday, had my cereal for breakie, vitaweats for lunch (I could live on these - yumm!) and a ww meal for dinner (I tried the Thai one 'panang chicken' and it was delish but quite hot), so a great eating and drinking day and I ended it with the bike and stepper before I started my scrapbooking.

Palmy weekend
Had a fabulous Saturday - picked Helena and Jo up Saturday morning and headed up to Palmy to suprise the girls at their morning get together.
All were very suprised to see us which was fun and took a couple of photo's.
I love this one of me, Jo and Anne.
Gotta say, Janene looked awesome and had lost heaps of weight since I seen her last.
Anne also looks much smaller and very 'stylish'.
Chris D and Chris H were there usual happy go lucky selves and it was great to catch up with them.
We then ventured out to Ezibuy and all managed to get some great things and then popped next door to Mitre 10 Mega and had lunch which was very average, not half as nice as our Mitre 10 Mega in Petone (no chicken salad - tut tut).
The rest of the weekend was quite boring, got home from Palmy and drank near on 2 bottles of wine (DOH!) and ate dinner about 10.30pm.
Sunday's weather was horrible but me and the kids ventured out and visited my sister who has had an op on her knee and then I took them to the Warehouse but they were so badly behaved I left with not one thing in my trolley......very unusual for me.
Had chinese for dinner and ate like I was a women possessed and I'm pretty sure not one drop of water passed my lips all day *major sigh*.
Feeling bloated and yuk this morning but its Monday so BACK TO IT!
Looking forward to getting on my stepper and bike tonight.

Feeling bloated and yuk this morning but its Monday so BACK TO IT!
Looking forward to getting on my stepper and bike tonight.

Back into it
As the title suggests, I am 100% back into it after a few weeks of - whatever it is I went through, off the rails, unhealthy living - call it what you will.
So anyway, I couldn't wait any longer for hubby to put up my stepper thing so I did it myself and it was really easy to put together.
Here is my new toy:
Last night I did 10 minutes of hard out biking and then jumped on the stepper and did 2km on this which took me 7.40 minutes and I RAN more than I walked - yeah baby!
I did all of this after hubby cooked a wicked Indian meal for Dad's 68th birthday.
This is my darling Dad who is just wonderful with the boys and they love him to pieces.
I'm out for lunch with some workmates today which I'm looking forward to and then catching up with another friend after work - social butterfly that I am -
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, catch ya on Monday.

Weigh in
Loss: 400g
Total Weight: 86.8kg
Total loss: 23.5kg
Thank heaven's I lost 400g as that was what I was going to have to lose before I could buy anymore clothes and I did just that last night (bought more clothes that is). Apart from the 3 new pair of casual shoes I got, I also grabbed 2 simply fabulous tops from Ballentynes......Oh oh, I'll take a photo now..........hang on.
Here they are, cool eh?
I am also at home with Adam today as he was up most of the night with a wicked temperature (38.6) but after whacking that Pamol into him it is now down to 36.8 which is much better and he keeps telling me he's all better. I'm not exactly sure what caused it but he has had a weepy eye for the last two days and a bit gunky this morning, so I'm hoping it isn't conjunctivitis AGAIN.
Here's a photo I took of the boys on the weekend at my sisters. My brother-in-law has a big red ducati motorbike and my boys (Adam especially) just LOVE motorbikes (ay Leenie?) so their Uncle took a photo of them sitting on it. Take note of Adam's face, he's in motorbike heaven......LOL

Exercise - FINALLY
It always amazes me why it takes me so long to get back into exercise because I feel so good after I've done it.
Last night I got home from work, got changed into my 'gym gear' and jumped on my bike. I did 10 minutes on the bike but it was a HARD 10 minutes and my legs were like jelly once I got off........loved it.
The boys sat on the floor next to my bike and watched and couldn't understand why I didn't have my bike helmet on....hahaha.
After my 10 minutes on the bike I got off and me and my boys got on the floor and did sit-up's, push-up's, lunges and squats and my legs are feeling it today (such a satisfying pain).
I had WW Seafood Risotto for dinner (my favourite) and a gallon of water (tick that box) and there was no picking or nibbling after dinner which is a terrible habit I have gotten into lately. I ironed instead......whoa is me, hehehe.
Weigh in tonight and I'm not 100% confident on a loss but I'm feeling heaps better and more in control and next week will definately show my efforts.
Be back tomorrow with my weigh in results......bye *waves*

Birthday weekend
Well my eldest turned 6 years old and he had a fantastic weekend.
They went 10 pin bowling, pizza for dinner, rugby with his mates and dad in the backyard, played with his remote control hummer and 4 wheeler (biggest hit), watched the fireworks (from our house) out the window, watched 2 DVD's (one was 3D...funny) and finished off with McDonald's for breakfast the following morning.
I also made him a 'soccer field' cake which he loved.
All they boys were very well behaved, full on but well behaved and Andrew and I had just as much fun with them.
Okey Dokey - photo's.
I ate really well, didn't drink all my water but felt great by the end of the weekend that I had eaten well and didn't consume a loaf of bread.
I've had my ww cereal for breakfast this morning and have sushi for lunch...mmmmmyum.
I also (finally) lugged my bike back into the house and have the hubby setting up the stepper tonight (fingers crossed). Feeling much more in control.

My Family
Well my 'plan' which consisted of 4 things has NOT gone to plan, I do have the eating under control but that's about it. Must try harder to get myself motivated, I know I go through this every couple of months so I'm not stressing about it as I know I'll get my mojo back.
Here are the family portraits I got taken a couple of weeks ago.
Aren't my boys just gorgeous!
Reece turns 6 tomorrow so I am having 2 of his friends for a 'sleepover' and there just happens to be a firework display on at the park which is 1 street away (convenient) and of course he thinks it for him.......LOL
He is at the 'cool dude' stage at the moment, notice in the photo's the spiked hair, ripped jeans and open shirt showing his singlet.
Adam just goes with the flow but did want his hair spiked after seeing his brothers.

Weigh in
GAIN: 200g
Total loss 23.1kgs
Current weight: 87.2kgs
Not good!
In the last 5 weeks I have managed to put on 400g which doesn't sound that much but when I'm trying to LOSE weight, it isn't great.
What happened to my plan? I was all gung hoe and then...........nothing.
I even bought that new stepper thing that is still sitting in the hallway waiting to be put together.
I've said it before and I'll say it again............BACK INTO IT RACHEL, STOP MUCKING AROUND.
This weeks plan:
1. Put stepper thing together tonight.
2. Get bike back inside so I will use it.
3. Get back to my points and stop guessing.
4. Stop buying clothes until you have lost the 400g you have put on (oh man....stink).
OK 4 things, I can handle that.
____________________________________
Right enough about that.
I went to Farmers on my way home from work yesterday looking for a birthday card for a friend (I have no idea why I walked into Farmers for that) and managed to get a really nice 'knee high' black pants and a gorgeous black top with a black and white strippy thing over it, looks great on (I have it on today) and even Andrew said "Aren't you a bit dressed up for work" which believe me, is a MAJOR compliment coming from him....LOL.
The only thing I can't work out is branding in Farmers, I tried on 6 different tops and 2 fit me in a size 16, 1 fit me in a size 20 and 3 were a size 18......go figure!
Still haven't downloaded any photo's but I'll get to them sometime this week.
Bye bye for now.

Long Weekend - A distant memory
WOW that weekend went fast.
Had a fantastic time and the weather cooperated.
Don't have much time on here as I'm at work by myself as the other lady rang in sick (yeah right!) so its going to be a bullent point post.
* Took Adam to his first swimming lesson and he loved it and is WAY to confident.
* Had a friend and her kids around for lunch.
* Went shopping with said friend and left kids at home.
* Picked up family portraits and they are smashing (I'll take a photo soon)
* Got a new toy (Eppi something which is basically a stepper with handles)
* Got a visit from the gorgeous Leenie but she didn't ride over on Trude (much to
my kids disappointment).
* BBQ for Dinner on 3 occasions (love BBQ's).
* Visited some old neigbours who now live an hour away.
* Went shopping with hubby for some clothes for him (didn't get anything - he is so
fussy).
* Also went out for a coffee with hubby (no kids) which was a real treat.
* Helped Reece finally ride his new bike (still has to use the step to get on it).
* Took the kids around to friends house to play.
* Hubby finished building new front gates (they look fab).
- Drank too much.
- Ate WAY to much and it was the non healthly kind.
- Didn't exercise *sigh*.
So all in all I had fun, ate whatever I wanted (so gunna pay for it tonight) drank whatever I wanted and socialised to our little hearts were content - one very FABULOUS long weekend.
Be back tomorrow (hopefully) with some pictures.

Weigh in
Loss/Gain: Nope - stayed the same
Total loss: 23.3kgs
Current weight: 87.0kgs
A bit dissapointed with that but so be it.
In Paulene's Spring Challenge (6 weeks) I managed to lose 1.5kgs which is something eh?
So my day off was a total disaster, started off getting the kids off and out of the house late, then did my shopping and didn't finish that until 9.30am. After getting home with the shopping and putting the meat (only) away, off I went to meet a JP who needed to sign some papers for me which took forever. I then popped into Upper Hutt to post the said forms away and had parked next to Postie Plus (BIG mistake), was just about to walk in the door and heard a 'oy!' which was from the fabulous looking Helena who was also going in for a shop. Then popped in to the place where Reece is having his hip hop concert in December to get the tickets (I'm now totally broke, what is with that?) which cost me $70.00 for 1 adult ticket for each show (there are 4 in total) and 1 child's ticket for Adam so he can come with me on the last day.
After finally getting home at midday, I finished unpacking the groceries, put on a load of washing and took in the 2 loads that were on the line, tidied up the lounge and kitchen and then thought I'd better get onto the kids room.
Looked at the time and it was 1.30pm and I had to pick Adam up in an hour to take him to the dentist....argh!
Needless to say the boys room got a quick 'lick and a promise' rather than a 'clean out' but at least it was bareable to look at by the time I had finished with it.
Went and picked up Adam from daycare - dentist (he was a little angel) and then back up to Upper Hutt to get Reece his remote control car and a transformer for Dad to give him for his birthday *phey - wipes brow), ice cream for the little fella for being a good boy at the dentist (how ironic) and home to get dinner on.
Are you are tired reading that as I was doing it?
So I did get a few things done but not half of what I wanted, thinking I could do most of it in 1 day was mad (yes thank you chris - stop nodding your head now).
We (in Wellington NZ) have a long weekend coming up (Labour Day) so I am going to try and tackle the hallway (sanding and undercoating) in between taking Adam to swimming lessons, having Reece's mate and mother over and viewing our pixi photo's which we had taken the other week.....yeah right! Wishful thinking.
BUT what I did get done for myself last night was 4 scrapbook pages after the dishes were done, kids bathed and into bed, while neglected husband watched mindless TV.

Sore back
I spent 3+ hours on my PC last night downloading stuff for my digital scrapbooking and had an absolute ball but I can't remember the last time I spent that much time on the PC and it isn't really set up very ergonomically hence my sore back this morning........well worth it though. That stuff is so very addictive and I was telling Kate that even Andrew made the lunches last night because he knew I wasn't coming off that PC anytime soon......LOL. That NEVER happens!
I've decided to take tomorrow off work because I have heaps of 'stuff' to do at home and just never find the time to do it (no I won't get off the PC of a night....hahaha). The boys room is the most major thing that needs to be de-cluttered and while they are at school/daycare tomorrow I'm going to tackle the whole room (wardrobes/draws/toy boys).
I also wanted to get the paint (undercoat and top coat) for the hallway and get some sandpaper and get started on the wooden skirting boards and doors. I HATE HATE HATE the preparation when painting but it must be done so I'm hoping to get most of it done while there is nobody home.
I also want to get the groceries done, take Adam to the dentist (3pm) get a JP to sign some papers for me, get some items together for a Xmas raffle at Adam's daycare, look for a remote control car for Reece's birthday, pop up and visit Helena, soak and wash all the nettings in the house and look for a new BBQ table for outside but I'm guessing those things aren't going to all get done tomorrow (DUH ya think?).
I wonder if I'll fit a walk in????? Here's hoping!
Right best I get everything sorted here at work so I don't have a massive pile when I get home.

Time to spend some money
Firstly the weekend rap up:
Saturday -
Cleaned house in the morning
Went and got groceries in the afternoon
Went to a friends house for a pot luck dinner and by the way, I am the dance mat queen (some thing you attach to your playstation and dance). Ate way too much, drank even more but danced the night away on this dance mat thing.......nice!
Sunday -
Late start (with very sore head)
Visitors for a coffee
Tried to clean kids room out (draws, toys etc) but didn't get very far
Sister turned up so went shopping with her while kids stayed home with their father who was building the front gate.
While out I got the kids a cowboy outfit each and also stopped off at 'Tog Zone' (swimming bars in Upper Hutt) and got Adam signed up for swimming lessons starting next Saturday at 10am (parent assist...argh!).
Went and had coffee and toasted sandwich with sister
Plonked in front of the TV while hubby cooked dinner
Went and had bath and went to bed by 9pm.......ah bliss.
Very lazy weekend.....not good.
Anyway back to the title - time to spend some money.
Hubby and I have been talking about getting a few things down around home and we have been trying to do things as we get the money but most things we just want done NOW, especially the fences (only 1 side to go now - 50m long) so the kids can go out and play and one of us don't have to be out there with them.
So we have compiled a list and are starting to get some quote's together and when we know approx what we need, we are going to the bank to get some more money and JUST GET IT DONE! I'll be happier, hubby with be happier and we will be able to spend more time with the kids on the weekend rather than always working on something for the house. Here are the things we want done (in no particular order):
Fences/Gate - $3,000.00
Underfloor insulation - $800.00
Texture coating house/garage - $ waiting on quotes
Carpet (lounge/hall)- $ waiting on quotes
Interior Paint & undercoat (whole house) - $300.00
Exterior paint (gutters/sills etc) - $100.00
Heater (bathroom) + sparky - $150.00
Lino (bathroom & toilet) - $ waiting on quotes
New curtains (master bedroom ) - $200
New bed linen - $200.00
Front door (add glass and repaint) - $ waiting on quotes
Treadmill (I wish! - we'll see) - $2,000.00
Our house has been revalued by the council and has gone up $110,000 in 2.5 years which is brilliant apart from the extra rates we have to pay now but it really needs a spruce up.

Digital Scrapbooking
OMG your've done it now Kate, I'm addicted.
Following Kate's lead (private blogger) I have followed her instructions and started digitally scrapbooking and I am 100% addicted. I joined a site and got a free starter kit and have now created my first page. Its very basic but its a start, I have been sitting on this PC for over 2 hours while my poor husband sits in front of the TV on a Friday night by himself.......LOL
Here it is, what do you think?
Right best I go and talk to hubby before going to bed and then getting up early to start on my 2nd page.
Nite nite *yawn*

SPAM
How do I get rid of spam left in my comments?
I occasionally see when I am leaving a comment "deleted comment" but I can't find where to do that.
2 posts ago (Head in the sand) I have a massive spam comment which was also left on Lyn's latest post....grrrr
If leaving advise, please make it idiot proof as I'm not that crash hot with this blog navigating.

Weigh in
GAIN: 100g
Total loss: 23.3kgs
Current Weight: 87.0kgs
Strangely enough I'm quite pleased with this result as 2 days ago my scales were showing a 2kg gain so I think I'm quite lucky getting away with only a 100g gain.
I've got my head back in the right place and got most things sorted at home (de-cluttered, menu's sorted) so this week is going to be a pearler!
Reece has his first Hip Hop class tonight so I'm leaving work early to take him the first time (then his Pop will pick him up from school and take him).
I will make sure I get some photo's of him in his Hip Hop gear because he thinks he is such a 'dude' (which he is of course).
Weather has really packed up after a lovely day yesterday, terrential rain, flooding, cold - roll on summer I say.
Nothing else to report so I'll love ya and leave ya...........bye.

Head in the sand
Boy have I had a shocking week of eating and exercising.........I mean SHOCKING!
Got on the scales this morning and I am over 2kgs up on last weeks weight, lets see what I can reverse before tomorrow nights WW weigh in.
I'm cluttered!
I mean everything is cluttered at the moment in my life. My house is a mess and I HATE that, I'm not organised as far as planning my food and exercise and the kids stuff is everywhere around the house and I sit on the couch of a night and look at it all and it annoys me but not enough to get off my behind and do anything about it.
Hence my weight has increased because I have just eaten 'whatever' is going and everything I've made has been quick and easy (ie. sausages, chips and egg's etc) not good.
I can't work it out *shakes head*, I really don't know why I have gotten 'lazy' for a better word the last week as I was feeling so fantastic a few weeks ago *shrugs shoulders* I just can't work it out.
I'm back at work this morning and have had a 'shake' for breakfast as I wasn't organised this morning and didn't bring my yoghurt for my cereal. I have had 1.5lts of water which is good compared to my efforts of late but don't even want to think about lunch - oh I've just had an idea (lightbulb moment), I have to go and get Reece some shoes for hip hop today at lunchtime and subway is next door which means I could just get a subway and not think about it..........yep, that's what I'm gonna do.
Had a nice, if not uneventful weekend. Quite Friday night and then Saturday morning at 7am (yep 7am) I had a friends mother's funeral to go to. Headed to McD's for a coffee (trim latte) afterwards as it was the only place to get a coffee at 8.15am.
Off to Upper Hutt to get Reece's Hip Hop pants ordered and pick up hubby's jeans which he was getting altered. I then decided I had 15 minutes to kill before my hair appointment so went and spent $70 on a new pair of jeans as the only long pair I had are just too baggy now.
Hair done (just a colour and a fringe trim) and grabbed some more groceries for the BBQ in the afternoon.
Had 8 adults and 4 kids which was great and the weather even co-operated so we were able to stay outside for 80% of the time.
I ate stuff I would never usually eat (ie. apple crumble, homemade cheesecake, creamy pasta salad) for no apparent reason as I didn't enjoy the way I felt afterwards.
Drank lots of wine instead of breaking it up with some water and woke up really dehydrated the following morning.
Sunday morning and the All Blacks (Rugby team) lost their quarter final in the World Cup which put hubby in a hineous mood. Had to get family portraits taken and then hubby to golf and me and the kids just stayed at home and played with lego and Adam's Bob the Builder toys.
Kid's in bed by 5.30pm (tired fromt he night before) me in bed by 9.30pm but didn't go to sleep until 11.45pm and now feeling 'low'.
I'm hoping some retail therapy (even though it is for Reece) at lunchtime will lift my spirits.
I need a plan.......
I think I will go home tonight (nothing else planned) and get my planned menu's out and write myself out a shopping list and get the food side sorted out for the week and then do some exercises at home (ie. lunges, swats etc) and I'm sure that will make me feel better?????? Get the ironing done which I keep saying I'm going to do but then sit down and watch TV instead and clean my kitchen benches of 'clutter' as this always makes me feel better (anal I know).
Right I've got a plan so lets see me stick to it !!!!!!
Sorry for the doom and gloom post but I felt the need to vent and to let you all know why I have been slack updating this week.
Got on the scales this morning and I am over 2kgs up on last weeks weight, lets see what I can reverse before tomorrow nights WW weigh in.

Weigh in
GAIN: 100g
Total Loss: 23.4kg
Current Weight: 86.9kg
As you can proberly tell, I'm not a happy camper.
A gain??????? What is THAT about????
I THOUGHT I'd had a great week and before anyone starts telling me that its only 100 grams, I know I know it is but I need to vent and I've done that now so I'm over it.
Hubby took me out for dinner last night to 'Speights Ale House' which was absolutely devine!
I had pumpkin soup for entre' with a half loaf of bread (that I shared with hubby) and then had the Black Cherry Chicken for main which was a chicken breast stuffed with cashew nuts and cream cheese and then wrapped in bacon with a black cherry sauce....mmmmmmm yum.
I would have loved the chocolate mud cake they do which is really good with a coffee but thought better of it (plus I was full) and went home.
Went to bed and woke up 2 hours later with the most wicked reflux/heartburn and when I thought about what had caused it, I summised it must have been the pumpkin soup which I think had cream in it (cream does it to me everytime). I haven't had reflux since I was about 100kgs and I must admit I don't miss it, I managed to find a couple of quickeze tablets but it was very uncomfortable for a good 30 minutes or so.
We have a BBQ planned for this weekend and the weather is going to be horrible for the rest of the week but is suppose to clear on Saturday (fingers crossed) because we have quite a few people coming (ex Cadbury people) and we only have a little house so I want it to be nice so we can stay outside. We have opted for a lunchtime/early afternoon BBQ hoping we can stay outside. We have heaps of seafood in the freezer that Andrew's Mum and Andrew have caught (ie. crayfish, white bait and paua) that needs to be eaten (only lasts a couple of months in the freezer) so we are looking forward to that.
I'm hoping to pop into Helena's after work to see how 'Miss Gorgeous' is getting on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to KT today as well - 24 years old!

Ho hum
Hello
Just plodding along here, haven't had anything exciting happen in my life in the last few days...........how boring!
Didn't get up to much on the weekend, went shopping with my sister and got a nice pair of shoes (yes another pair) a pair of 3/4 black pants for work and 2 tops.
Took the kids to the park to fly kites and kick rugby balls and that's about it.
I have been quite good with my food and water but not so good with my exercise (no suprise there) if only I could get it ALL together, I'd be on fire.
Still feeling really good and going shopping and managing to get clothes from shops I have NEVER stepped into before is a real buzz.
Had a pedicure on Sunday with a mate and ran into Jenny who was buying a really cool outdoor furniture set.
The boy started his new job at Tip Top Bread yesterday and he bought home the freshest loaf of bread I've EVER had in my life (bread being my downfall) and I only managed to eat 4 slices before I put it out of sight. They get 2 loaves a day to bring home of whatever flavour they like so he is going to get one white loaf for him and the boys for lunches and a nice loaf (i.e. seeded/grainy bread) or garlic bread for BBQ's.
Weigh in tonight and I'm confident of a loss which is a nice feeling. I've got 2 weeks left (after tonight) for my Spring Challenge I'm doing over on Paulene's blog and I wanted to reach 85kgs (which I thought would be EASY - NOT!) so I have 1.8kgs to go.

Girls and kiddies
3 gorgeous girls and 8 kids (ranging from 3 years old to 12 years old) and we had an absolute BALL.
The kids entertained themselves and all we had to do is call them to the table for dinner and after they scoffed their meal (and pudding) they were off again so we got to sit down and have a nice girlie chat while eating our dinner.
Marinated chicken thighs
Corned silverside
Egg and potato salad
Roast vegetable salad
French bread
Focossia Bread (sp?)
Chocolate self saucing pudding
I managed a small portion of everything and was quite satisfied.
I even had some chocolate pudding which I haven't had for ages and really wasn't that fussed with it.
Oh did I mention I drank nearly 2 bottles of wine *giggle* I wonder how many points that was??? I only had about 4 or 5 glasses but I would describe them more as BUCKETS.
I had a terrible night with Adam who woke up 5 times crying and it took quite a while to get him back to sleep (a bit too much entertainment for the wee fella I think) so I have had a shocking nights sleep but woke up a box of fluffies this morning (go figure?).
Another grey, cold, windy, rainy day in Wellington which is a bit of a bummer for the kids who are on school holiday's as they haven't had a nice day yet and it nearly the end of the first week.
Steps yesterday were 9200 so an improvement on the day before which is all good.

Weigh in
Loss: 1.1kg
Total loss: 23.5kg
Current Weight: 86.8kg
Told ya I have been feelin' great and this weeks result just proves it. A little bit more exercise in my life ALWAYS helps with the scale results and I know that but it is just hard to do sometimes.
I also managed to keep my pedometer on for a whole day and clocked up 8648 steps which I intend to improve on today........on fire baby!
Things I have noticed over the last few months:
When I got to buy alcohol from the grocery store and the 16 something year old rings for a Supervisor to 'check' I am over age - they don't even look at me now, they just say 'yep'....*sigh* I keep telling them "can't you just LOOK to make me feel better"......LOL. They must think I'm pathetic.
When I go somewhere (ie. out for dinner etc) the young waiters always call me madam now instead of miss......hahaha.
A young man (approx. 15 years old) opened a door for me the other day and said "There you go lady" as if I was 90 years old *big, lung filled sigh*...I'm getting old.
I really don't mind, in fact I do have a bit of a giggle most of the time but it seems I am noticing these things more and more and realise my youth is fading away into middle age. I remember my parents always saying to me that they might have been 40 but they only felt 25 and I have to agree with them, the unfortunately thing about that is I'M STARTING TO SOUND LIKE MY MOTHER - eeekkkkkkk.
Raining today in the Capital of NZ and pretty cold as well which doesn't help me with my water intake - oh well, suck it in Rachel and just drink it!
Two of my girlfriends have their husbands away on business so they are having a 'pot luck' dinner at one of their houses (the one with the biggest house) and me and the kids are going as well (3 women, 8 kids) so we (the women) are going to drink LOTS of wine and hope this helps us with not hearing the 8 children who will be running around like mad things because they are so excited to see each other. I am taking a HUGE corned silverside with 2 french sticks of bread, our host is doing chicken pieces with a MASSIVE salad and the 3rd lady is doing dessert which means there will be heaps of choice for me (apart from the dessert) and awesome company.
Hubby is going to drop me and the kids off and then pick us up when we are ready to come home (good man!) so I don't have to worry about how much I drink (well I do but you know what I mean). I'll try and remember to take my camera.
Right better go and do some work......chow

Another new one
New Pedometer: - CHECK!
Steps so far today (9.45am): 2522
Andrew chose the one with the tightest/strongest clip he could find so lets see how long it lasts.
Went and changed some boardshorts after work yesterday as I got a size 18 and didn't try them on and when I got home they were WAY TOO BIG.....*snigger, snigger, snort*.
Popped into Woolworths and got some crumbed snitzel (sp?) for the boys for dinner and I had the left over tuna bake from the night before.
Boys in bed by 7pm, me in bed at 10.30pm (after lunches, tidy up etc)...love it!
Thought I'd tell you a funny story (well I think its funny), I went and had a shower last night and when I got out Andrew asked me how come I take so long in the shower, or his exact words were "What in god's name do you do in there for that long?" and this is what I told him:
1. Strip off and jump in shower
2. Wash hair, condition hair
3. Shave armpits
4. Shave legs
5. Shave nether region....hehehe
6. Get out and wrap my hair in a towel and dry myself
7. Put my hair bleach cream on my ladies mow (top lip)
8. Clip toe nails
9. Put Heel balm on my cracked heels
10. Put moisturiser on elbows (also get dry and cracked)
11. Put celulite stuff from my ankles to my bum
12. Put eye cream on eyes
13. Put night cream on face and neck
14. Notice a few stay hair on eyebrows, so pluck them
15. Take off hair lightener from top lip
16. Brush teeth
17. Clean ears (cotton buds)
19. Hang towels and bathroom mat up
20. Put nightie on and go into my bedroom to blowdry my hair
To which he said "I didn't need to know that - I won't ask again"........LOL
Before I go, I just wanted to say a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Helena.
Have a fantastic day mate :)

Another weekend gone
Man the weekends go by quickly, I can't believe I've had 2 days off.
Friday night I babysat for a friend which was excellent as they kids were brilliant and I only had them for an hour and off to bed they went so I sat and read half a book. I got home just before midnight and everyone in my household was asleep so I took the opportunity to have a coffee and read more of my book.
Saturday was last day of soccer and then we had Reece's mate for the rest of the day, so we went to the local bakery and loaded up and went to my sister's and had lunch there (I had a sandwich and a sausage roll) and then went home and the boys played outside for a couple of hours in the sunshine while I pottered around doing housework. Popped into Helena's to drop off a pair of pants and WOW that chic is GORGEOUS!!!! I nearly cried - she just looked sooooo amazing!
Saturday night after dropping Reece's mate off home the boys wanted KFC for dinner which I got (I had a shake) and they ate that and then Adam and I headed off to the Pool Party (Reece said he had a sore tummy so he stayed home) and stayed for about 2 hours (heaps of kids) and then home, kids in bed and I went to bed early as well.
Sunday - Quiet day at home with the boys, played outside most of the day even though it was overcast and spitting with rain on and off, it was still really warm. Made a yummy tuna pasta bake for dinner and my little bruiser (Adam) had 4 plates and Reece had 2 (Note to self: make that HEAPS) while their father didn't like it and only managed 1 plate and then ate junk for the rest of the night.
All in all I think I had a relatively good weekend with my eating but alas no exercise apart from running around with the kids both days.
I've got my gym gear today and will be at the work gym after work.
I've drank 1.5ltrs of water already today and it is only 10.40am (pee'ed about 8 times.....TMI???) and have had a shake for breakkie (going to have 1 shake a day I think) and feel great.
Hubby is hopefully going to get us 2 new pedometers today as Rebel are having a sale and we both want our own rather than having to share. That will be back on my hip tomorrow, I just wish they had a thing that goes around your belt loop or something as that clip really doesn't do much (hence the toilet trip my last one took), oh well, I'll just have to be more carefull.
That's all my news, not very exciting I'm sorry but hopefully this week will prove to be a bit more exciting........details to come.

Another glorious day in Wellington
21 degree's they (the weather gods) reckon we are going to get to day....lovely.
I've got my 3/4 pants on with a thin short sleeved summer blouse and my sunglasses ready for when I go out for lunch.
Yesterday we got to 18 degree's so I went straight home and had a glass of wine on the desk while hubby cooked a BBQ........my ideal evening.
After reading how well Jenny, Jo and Anne are going with their walking (pedometers on) I decided to clip mine back on yesterday morning when I got up and all was good until I went to the loo before I walked out the door for work and as I pull my duds up I heard a 'plop'.........oh bugger! Fished it out (ewwww) washed it off and it seemed to be working so I clipped it back on but when I checked it 2 hours late - NOPE. So that's another pedometer that bites the dust.
Tonight I am babysitting a friends kids at their house on my own with a good book, I can't wait..........LOL. I hope they don't come home too early :)
Saturday is the last game of soccer (YAY!) and then a sauage sizzle and team photo's. My eldest sister then wants me to go around there to see their new carpet they just got laid and to see the kids. Saturday night we are going to a friends fundraiser at Naenae pools (swimming bars) for a pool party night which I'm really looking forward to but Andrew is trying every trick in the book to get out of it...LOL.
Sunday - Nothing (nice!)
Hope everyone has a fab weekend, catch on Monday/
I've got my 3/4 pants on with a thin short sleeved summer blouse and my sunglasses ready for when I go out for lunch.

Photo post
I just love photo posts, so I have taken a few photo's to share with you all.
The first 2 are of my darling 3 year old Adam. I took these photo's later in the morning on Sunday but he did present me with this face at 5.39am.
These are the books and vouchers I bought or won at the fundraising auction I went to on Monday night - notice the 1 months membership at Lifestyles gym.
I also bought a Wellington Lions (Rugby team) poster with it signed by the team for the boys but forgot to take a photo.
Here are a few pair of shoes I bought last week because I work in a job where I am only allowed to wear closed in toes and heals but it gets very hot so it makes it tricky. The jandels I just loved and couldn't resist.
And last but not least, my precious boys Reece and Adam.
Reece did his first Hip Hop class last night and just loved it and came home and tried to teach his brother all of his 'moves'........very cute!
- Eating and drinking everything I'm suppose to.
- Gyming (well treadmilling).
- Feeling fantastic.
- Looking fantastic (clothes getting WAY too baggy).
- I'm only 3kgs heavier than my husband (I use to be over 40kgs bigger - yeah baby!!!)
- People at work (mostly men) are complimenting me on my weightloss and appearance which is very weird because that has NEVER EVER happened.
- Socialising more (don't have only black clothes in my wardrobe)
- This hot weather is definately helping with my eating, drinking and exercising. I knew as soon as the weather picked up, so would my resolve.......I love spring (& summer).
WOW don't know where that came from but that's how I'm feeling at the moment.

Weigh in
Lost: 200g
Total Loss: 22.4kg
Current Weight; 87.9kgs
Got home from weigh in and TOM arrived so I wasn't to worried about the small loss, a loss is a loss right?
It has been mad at work plus I have my performance review this afternoon (god I look amazing on paper......LOL) and I have to leave early as I am picking Reece up to take him to his first Hip Hop class to see if he likes it.
I had a quite weekend like I'd planned - bliss!
But Monday, Tuesday and today is full on but the time is racing by so that is a good thing.
Sorry this is only a short post but I'm snowed under at the moment.......be back later.

Quiet weekend
Its not very often it happens but I actually had a quiet weekend as far as visitors or visiting which was nice.
I even got quite a bit done around the house.
Saturday was soccer then I had Reece's mate for a few house and when I dropped him home I spent an hour or so having a coffee with his mum.
We are going to a fundraising auction tonight for her daughter's basketball team and she is organising it so we made up a basket (chocolate's, lollies, wine, stuff) to put in the auction plus bought tickets to go and we will more than likely buy a couple of things tonight.......hahaha expensive fundraiser.
Went home and had a hangi (traditional New Zealand Maori meat and vege's cooked underground for 4 or so hours) for dinner (I had half of mine and Andrew finished the rest of mine) which was lovely. Bought from a guy at my work for another fundraiser.
Sunday the weather wasn't very crash hot so the kids and I stayed home while their father went to golf. Had a visit from one of our mates with his two kids at 9am in the morning and then about 10am my housework day kicked in. I managed to clean out both freezers in my house plus the main fridge, then tackled the double pantry and finally the plastic's and crockery cupboard's........*whoa - wipes brow*.
Oh yeah, and then I did all the ironing for the week, made lunches, bathed the kids and got their clothes out for the morning.
I have noticed the first couple of blowflies in the house which is a good sign summer is only around the corner and that Andrew need to 'ripcord' the house to keep those little buggers OUT.
Got to work today and realised I didn't bring my running shoes for the treadmill at the gym (grrr!) but I'm not going to stress about it because there's always tomorrow and I'm hoping to get over there (gym) early as we have got a few slow days at work so I will get extra long at the gym......GOOD PLAN.
Eating on the weekend was my usual - terrible PLUS until last night at about 7pm I don't think I had drank ANY water so downed 1.5 litres which as you can imagine wasn't my brightest idea as I spent half the night up peeing.
Right I'm off to the Australian High Commission here in Wellington NZ to get my passport name changed (to my married name) as I booked my ticket in my married name and forgot I hadn't updated my passport - $234.00 to change my name - how rude!
