What a busy weekend I have had and now I'm back at work looking out the window at our horrible, wet, rainy weather.
Helena's birthday night was fantastic (even the little I saw of it - more about that later) and she looked stunning in her outfit. I didn't take my camera but Jo took some photo's and will more than likely show us a couple later.
Let me set the sceen......................
After our blogger lunch (last post) I got home and had a girlfriend ring to say she was coming over with her kids for a coffee. She arrived at about 3.30pm and I told her I was going out that night and getting picked up at 6pm (by the lovely Carol). Both our hubby's were golfing together and we new they wouldn't be home for HOURS and she was at a loss what to do as the weather was yuk and the kids were hypo. I managed to get Adam in bed for a quick sleep and the other kids ran around outside like mad men while we chatted in the lounge.
Looking at the clock it was 4.45pm and I hadn't even had a shower little own gotten dinner for the boys organised so Jo offered to go get them all McDonald's while I had a shower.
Once they got back I was showered with my makeup on and half dressed and Jo said "let's have a wine before you go"...............1st mistake of the evening!
As I was still rushing around I was gulping the wine and little did I know Jo had refilled my glass a couple of times. She left at 5.45pm and I finished getting ready, Carol came and picked me up and then we carried on and picked up the lovely Rose and arrived at Helena's where her, Craig (Helena's hubby) and Jo were sitting in the dining room having a drink.
I had taken a bottle of wine with me so I asked Craig to crack that and we had another couple of wines (I was later to find out in the hour or so we were there, we all drank 3.5 bottles) and Jo and Helena got changed and again I will say they looked stunning.
Jumped into the car and Off we went into Wellington.........got about 15 minutes down the road and Jo had to go to the loo and couldn't hold on so we got off the motorway and found a shell service station. A few of us then had a tinkle and back in the car and off again.
I was feeling mighty fine by this stage and was soooooo excited about getting out with the girls and having a good night.
Got to the restaurant and a couple Helena new from work were there and the lovely Chubbymum, I planted myself down at the end of the table and Helena kindly bought a couple of bottles of wine and put on the table, so we all got stuck into those.
I am now louder than usual (which is hard because I am a VERY LOUD person) and was laughing and giggling.
Menu's came and CM and I decided to share a main as they did a bit of everything for 2 people.
The music that was playing behind my (live) was fantastic and I was having a ball and then got up to go to the loo.......................2nd mistake of the night!
Got into the loo and decided I couldn't focus on anything and thought I must have lost my glasses - checked and they were still on my face so figured I should slow down with the wine because I'm not normally a drinker and by this time I think I was getting close to about 2 bottles. Got off the loo to head back to the table and realised my legs weren't working real well.
Once back at the table I started talking to Rose and realised I could see her lips moving but couldn't concerntrate on what she was saying and started my own conversation in my head (Warning sign or WHAT!!!). About this time everyone started asking me if I was OK because I had gone very quiet.....surprise, surprise and I assured them I was OK but decided I really wasn't and needed to go home. Rang Andrew who had just gotten home and asked him to come and get me but he had had too much to drink and said he would ask my Dad to come and get me but the ladies heard me on the phone and told me to stay, I told Andrew I would ring him later and confirm what I wanted to do.
Meal arrived and it looked fantastic, CM started eating but I was looking at it thinking..."no way", they managed to convince me to try some so I attempted a couple of pieces of potato but that then confirmed I needed to go home.
Dad arrived about 10.30pm and Helena and Jo piled me into the car and off I went.
Can't really remember the trip home but did manage to get my shoes and top off before I passed out in my bed.
Next morning consisted of a MAJOR Hangover and about 8 litres of water........LOL
I also managed 1 piece of toast.
Sat on the deck watching Andrew finish it off with the boys jumping all over me until it was time to get ready for Karen's baby shower.
Jo came and got me at 2pm so I could follow her to the shower and we arrived early (Jo is getting into a habit of being early......not like her at all *kiss kiss Jo*) and I must admit she didn't look 100% herself (they had arrived home about 1.30am).
Karen on the other hand looked bright and bubbly (her usual self) and was really excited about the day. Helena and CM turned up also not looking 100% but not too bad at all ;) and we proceeded witht he baby shower where we played a few games that we weren't very good at and didn't manage to win any prizes.............hehehe but had a lovely time and the food that was served up was unreal and lots of home baking.
By this time I was ready for some food and had a great variety of sandwiches, crackers and cheese, sausage roll and a big piece of banana cake that Karen's Mum made which was YUMMO!
Karen opened her presents (in between the games and the food) and got some fantastic baby things, she was so overwhelmed by it all. Had a bit more of chat with people out on the back deck with a sprinkling of rain which was lovely and then CM and I headed off to meet up with Helena and Jo (and wee Rhian) at the Cossie Club for a latte.
Took CM home and got home and made a really nice healthly chicken stirfry for me and steak, potato's and vege's for Andrew and the boys and relaxed.
Even though I am NOT THE PARTY GIRL I thought I was and ruined a great night out for myself, I am really lucky to have these wonderful girls as my friends and I always manage to have the best fun with them.
It was just lovely meeting Sue, Janene, Ann and I hope we can all catch up again soon and what can I say about Chubbymum.............FUN, LOVELY, GENUIN person who I know will now become a closer friend just like Helena, Karen and Jo are.
If your still reading............well done!

Blogger lunch

Just arrived home from my blogger lunch out at Whitemans Valley and it was FAB!
Was really lovely to finally meet CM, Sue, Ann and Janene and catch up with Karen, Helena and Jo.
Took the kids - MAJOR MISTAKE - I really didn't get to sit down and have a good ole natter because my darling children (can you hear the sarcasim) either ran around the table screaming or decided that jumping in puddles in the carpark while it was pooring with rain was much better than sitting down like good little men..............Oh well, know for next time :)
Janene, CM and Jo also took their kids which was good and the cafe we went to were really child friendly which was also great.
Went out last night and got myself a top which I thought was nice and really different from what I usually wear but once Andrew seen it, he told me it was the same as my other one......RUBBISH I SAID...... but when I checked, he was right - same style, different colour.
Righto, I have another girlfriend due to arrive with her kids and then I'm off to Helena's birthday dinner. I will post some pictures from today and hopefully have some of tonight posted on Monday.

WOK Creations
Yep WOK Creations are my favourite at the moment. I usually have 1 pkt of Undo noodles, small portion (200g) of either beef strips or chicken and 1 whole packet of WOK vegetables with a WOK creation sauce and it usually works out at about 7 or 8 points for the whole meal and it is really filling. Last night however I just felt like it but I didn't have any meat defrosted (and couldn't wait around to defrost some) so I just had the vege's and noodles and it was beautiful and only worked out at 4.5 points............gotta love that!
Can't remember if I told you but I have decided to go back to our gym at work even though it is outdated because it has a bike, a rower and all the weight equipment and its FREE.
I was speaking to our industrial nurse (who runs the gym) and I said I would love a treadmill and she said she was in the process of purchasing one for our gym ... YAY!
I have a top for Saturday night (Helena's birthday dinner) and I tried it on last night and even though it fits, I just don't want to wear it. So after some young thing puts wax on my eyebrows and rips it out, I am going shopping for a new top.............last minute I know but better late than never I say. I will have HEAPS of photos are I put the ole digital camera batteries on CHARGE this morning all ready for the weekend.
Righto better get working as I have to leave early to pick the kids up today as Dad has a late golf game and won't be back in time to pick them up (how rude...............LOL).

Weigh in
+.800grams.................bugger!
Bringing me back to 103.5kgs (total loss 6.8kgs), I know everyone is saying "don't sweat it, look at your total loss" and I know your right but.......................I was on a roll bugger it!
Anyway I will just have to work harder.
My boss (also a personal friend) was sitting at my desk yesterday and the other lady in the Lab mentioned I was losing weight again and his comment was "When you use to go to the gym, it just dropped off you and you looked amazing".................righto back to the gym I say...hahaha.
I also went to Jo's for a coffee afterward's (she is looking amazing by the way) and she showed me how to upload a photo to my site but unfortunately when I checked it this morning and it has only uploaded it to my Dashboard (or if you view my profile) when I actually wanted it on the page next to the 'About Me' bit. This of course will be my mistake and not explaining it to Jo Jo properly but Sue said she would give me a few tips on Saturday.
Anyway I went home and had a WW meal (Seafood Risotto) as I usually get Subway (as a treat) but didn't this week for obvious reasons and I really enjoyed it.
Adam was grissly last night and just wanted to sit on my lap and wriggly half the night and then ended up sleeping with me and was fine so hopefully it is nothing because I have a HUGE weekend planned and don't want to leave him with Dad if he's sick (but I will..........hehehe).
Not much else to rabbit on about today so I will say ta ta for now.
P.S. Hope your enjoying your day off Karen :)

Not confident
I jumped on my scales this morning and I was 1.9kgs heavier than my last weigh in at WW but my scales are 300grams lower so that is still a 1.6kgs UP...gggggrrrrrrrrr!
I have drank that much water yesterday that I have been sloshing around and my points have been a little under (only by 1 or 2 points) which I thought was helping but...........
I know I'm stressing but I have had 6 loss's in a row and don't want to break the cycle but it is my own fault if I gain *major sigh*. I will just have to wait and see what happens at weigh in tonight but I hope I don't have a major gain (well - a gain at all really).
OK I'm going to stop stressing.
I forgot to tell you that I managed to get on my bike at the weekend for about 10 or 15 minutes before I was having a major heartattack.........LOL The boys were sitting on their little trikes watching me and were quite concerned when I finished because I was panting so much plus I don't think they have ever seen me exercise before .... Hehehehehe.
Felt great though and I am so getting back on that sucker on a regular basis!
I have such a busy weekend coming up, bloggers lunch on Saturday then Helena's birthday bash on Saturday night and then Karen's baby shower on Sunday.......can't wait, can't wait!!!
I went through my wardrobe last night looking for something to wear on Saturday night as it has been FOREVER since I have gone into Wellington (on the town) and have no pants to wear apart from my work pants (NOT!) but remembered that my sister bought me some a while back (black boot legs) but they were in a size 16 and I am usually 18 - 20 (more 20 than 18) but I tried them on anyway and THEY FIT - Wahoo!!!
As I am only 5 foot 2 (and a half - which is important) they were WAY too long so I had hubby pinning the hem for me last night and he has dropped them off to get hemmed today.
That's about all the excitment in my life at the moment...........hehehehe

Another weekend bites the dust.........
Monday morning again..........YUK!
Had a lovely day on Friday as I had annual leave. Reece had his first school visit that went really well and hated me having to take him home........hehehe, teacher is really pleased - good o!
Got all my grocery shopping done which meant healthly food back in the house.
Spent the afternoon with Reece just doing stuff.
Saturday was a great day and me and the boys spent all day outside playing, didn't get much done around the house but *shrug* oh well.
Andrew got home from golf in the afternoon and we moved our shed to the end of the garden and then moved the boys playhouse up that end as well and it has really made the backyard look heaps bigger.
Didn't get anymore of the deck done as hubby still hasn't gotten around to getting the rest of the decking.
Made lasagne for dinner and ate some (first mistake) which just gave me heartburn all night (I know better!!!) then ate a chocolate or two after that???? Only made me feel guilty and I didn't really enjoy it, so I am wondering why I did it.
Sunday wasn't so nice weather wise and I had planned to take the kids to the park but since the rain stopped that idea, I took them to Lollypop's instead and sat there for 2.5 hours with a trim latte and a good book (Dan Brown's Digital Fortress) until my sister turned up with her son and we chatted away.
Home from there, little one in bed, Reece on the computer and I managed to get dinner out of the way for Andrew and the boys (chops, kumera bake, brocolli and carrots) while I had some of the vege's and a WW meal (Seafood Rissotto - my favourite).
Then managed to eat 3 mini chocolate chip biscuits with a coffee - bad, bad!
So today is back to tracking, tracking, tracking and drinking my water.
Only tomorrow will tell what the scale gods will dish up...........LOL

Weigh in........
UPDATED POST:
I have an excel spreadsheet that I put my weight results into and it creates a graph and has my mini goals in it etc and when I put my weight in for this week it told me I had lost 1.1kgs not 900grams................well OBVIOUSLY I checked it straight away and YES I have lost 1.1kgs - how didn't I pick that up...............LMAO.
Just thought I'd better update this wee finding in case there are some accountants out there that think I'm thick...hehehe.
What a nice little boost that was :)
ORIGINAL POST:
Down another 900grams which brings me to 102.7kgs (total loss 7.4kgs)!!!!!!!!!
I am really amazed at myself, I have usually gone right off the rails by now (usually around week 5) but I am now starting week 7 and still going strong. Another 9.2kgs to get to my virgin weight........bring it on!!!!
I am fitting into so much more in my wardrobe which is a bonus with summer just around the corner and my rings are sliding around my fingers getting quite lose...........love that!
Have been eating really well at work (as per usual) and I think having a good eating weekend really helped with this weeks weigh in. I have really been concerntrating on my water intake as well which MUST have helped as I have spent quite a bit of time on the loo :)
I have been quite busy at work so haven't managed to get out for a lunchtime walk which is really peeving me off because the weather has been lovely (apart from yesterday) and I feel like I'm missing out.
I watched 'Downsize Me' last night again and was quite impressed with there swiss ball exercises which seemed to do quite a bit for them and it was something they could do at home.
The mother in the program was really focused and did well but the daughter (23 year old) just couldn't keep up with the exercise and the diet even with her Mum's help and I really felt for her. She still did excellent with about a 7kg loss which is great but I thought they could have given her a bit more help when they new she was struggling.
Cupboards are a bit bare at the moment (shopping on Friday) so I have been a bit inventive with our meals for the last couple of nights and the boys are loving it. I didn't realise that I cook the same things over and over until I break out and cook something completely different and the boys (kids included) have been eating it. Last night made a potato, spring onions, leak, mushroom, bacon and egg pie with just one bit of pastry on the top (that's all I had left) and the boys just loved it. I usually make bacon and egg pie with just bacon and egg......boring aye?
So I am going to re-stock my cupboards on Friday and put lots of different stuff in there that I usually don't and then see what I can make with it.
Rabbitting on now so I will sign off for another day......ta ta for now :-)

Sunny days
What a lovely sunny weekend we had here in Wellington, just lifts your spirits.
Saturday morning myself and the kids went to my sisters for a catch-up and the kids played outside, then we went to Mitre 10 to price some more decking and they played in the play area.
This was very short lived as Adam (toilet training 2 year old) decided he wanted to do 'wee's' and pulled his pants down and went right there on the little bridge in the play area.........luckily I was there (but outside the gate) and nearly died of embarrassment and quickly grabbed every tissue I had in my bag and cleaned up. There was only 1 other little girl there with her Dad and he thought it was hilarious. I don't understand why he did that at all, little bugger!
Home we went for some lunch and Adam went to bed for a sleep while Reece and I played outside for a while. Saturday night was quiet, had a few wines and was in bed by 9.30pm (nanna aye?). Sunday was just as sunny and beautiful (except for the wind - good old Wellington) so we were outside by 8.30am and didn't come back inside until 3.30pm. I had a girlfriend and her 4 kids come around and they all ran each other ragged!
Food was excellent until Sunday dinner, I did have a chook out for dinner but it was still a bit frozen and it was getting late so we opted for takeaways.........bad!!!! I then sat there for the rest of the night kicking myself ........ argh!
Didn't get much done around the house but Reece decided to 'clean out' his playhouse by sweeping the floors, washing the windows and the blackboard and lining all the toys up outside on the grass - hahaha - my mate reckons he is far to young to be so clean and tidy......hahahaha.
I also went to Westfields on Sunday afternoon to get an appointment at OPSM for my contacts and I wasn't able to get one until the 2nd October and it is going to cost $200.00 for 4 appointments to get them plus a trial pack - WTF!!!
I don't care because I'm getting them anyway but still????
While I was there I also had a look around for a top for myself and do you think I could find anything??? NOPE! I tried on about 8 different tops in different designs but nothing looked right so I didn't get anything.........I will just wait until I find something I like.
Well that was about all the excitment I had on the weekend. I can't wait for summer - bring it on! BBQ weather - can't wait.

Walkies
Don't ya just love nice weather?
I have even managed a few lunch time walks which has been wonderful.
My eating has been so good this week and I am making sure I have most of my weekend food sorted because it is Friday night through to Sunday lunch that I fall over.
Tonight for dinner it is beef stir fry with LOADS of vege's.
2 x Vogels toast for brekkie with strawberry jam
Lunch will be a chicken or ham wrap (just love those)
Saturday dinner will be WW meal
Sunday breakkie is a mushroom and spring onion omlette
Sunday lunch a cheese and onion toastie
Sunday dinner - roast chicken with roast potato's (I very rarely eat them now) pumpkim and vege's........yum!
I have had my WW cereal this morning and 1 cup of coffee (I am trying to cut down from 12 a day to about 4 - with equal!) and I am going out with a couple of friends for a long lunch at the Speights Ale house in Petone which I am really looking forward to. I have also saved a few points so I can have 1 or 2 glasses of wine (should help with my performance review at 3pm ...LOL) and then gallons of water to finish of the afternoon.
I don't have much planned for the weekend but my little man is finally back at Kohanga today with his conjunctivitis and rotavirus GONE.......yee ha! It is suppose to be nice on Saturday so I think the park is in order and as it is suppose to rain on Sunday, we might do a bit of shopping as we are still looking our for a sofa bed for our spare room *shug* dunno?
Hope everyone has a good weekend :)

Weigh in
Lost another 1.4kgs...............cool aye?
Bringing me down to 103.8kgs, pretty happy with that considering I wasn't 100% this week or even 95% if the truth be told.
The only good thing to come out of being sick for a day and half is weight loss.........LOL
My original goal when I started this blog was to of course get to my goal weight which is 62kgs but I wanted to get to my mini goal of under 100kgs before Reece started school. I now have another 3.9kgs to loss in 6 weeks which equates to 0.65kgs a week which I am sure I can do if I stay focused.
Did anyone (in NZ) watch 'Downsize Me' last night? I was quite disappointed with a couple of them as they just hadn't stuck to the program which was a real shame. The mother and daughter at the end were awesome and I really take my hat off to them and the amount of weight they have lost in a year. Can't wait to watch next week and see how everyone else has done.
I have decided to buy myself 1 new item per pay just for me :) I went and got my hair cut and coloured on Saturday and popped into Ballentines in Upper Hutt which I haven't been to before as I always go to the Lower Hutt or Petone one and WOW what a huge selection. I couldn't believe how much more they had in variety compared to the other stores. I only had limited time but I had worked out that I could of at least of come out of there with about 5 or 6 tops and a skirt or 3 so I am going back come pay day to give myself a treat.
I was getting worried over winter that the only summer clothes I have were from last year when I was less weight but have tried a couple of things on over the last few days and I can actually fit into some..............major relieve as I think people at work are getting sick of me wearing the same old boring stuff.

Rotavirus.......ggggrrrrrrrrrrr!
Adam has rotavirus AGAIN, he had this last year as well poor little bugger. Reece also had it 2 years in a row when he was 1 and 2 years old. Andrew asked the Doc how they keep getting it, was is hygene or touching stuff or sharing glasses etc and the doc said it was an airborne virus and anyone can get it but my little fella's are just lucky (well - not lucky).
And of course there isn't anything you can give him, it just has to run its course and give him Pamol if he gets grotty. Luckily he is a box of birds but is going 'number 2's' quite badly.
Managed a good lunch and dinner last night without it coming back to haunt me.....yay!
Weigh in tonight, I am hoping for a small loss but won't be too disappointed if I stay the same or have a wee gain as I was naughty on Friday/Saturday but hoping being sick on Sunday/Monday has gotten me out of a big gain........LOL
I really have to get a photo up on my profile thing aye? I have looked at it a couple of time but can't work it out, I know how to put a photo into my post but not on my profile.
I currently wear classes, I have done since I was 13 or 14 but am SO OVER THEM now with a little boy who constantly peels them off my face and puts dirty little fingers over them plus when I exercise they slip down my nose blah blah blah so I have been thinking of contacts. I know a few people who wear them and they love them so I am going to go in next week and see if I can trial some before I actually get them full time. I just think the freedom of not having them on my face all the time will be a nice change *shug* who knows?
Right back to work....ta ta for now.

Sick.........
Well my little fella who I thought was over his bug ISN'T, he has been power spewing and power pooing all weekend and has been kind enough to give it to his Mummy (OH JOY!).
I have managed to keep it together but only managed a piece of toast yesterday and a very small bowl of cereal this morning......yes I am at work because the other lady from the Lab text me at 9.30pm last night to let me know she is ill and wouldn't be in today and because work has only two of us in the Lab (should be 3 or 4) I just couldn't stay home (mad aye?).
So I am taking things very easy and not pushing myself too much, Andrew had to take the day off with Adam and get him to the doctor with a poo sample (sorry) to see why this bug hasn't moved on after nearly a week. We are lucky that he is still running around and playing with no temperature but when he goes - he goes!!
Needless to say, I did sweet bugger all on the weekend which was nice and sat in front of the TV and watched absolute rubbish.
Andrew brother Robert (from Gisborne) was in Wellington for a course so he popped in last night for a visit and dinner but I was in no state to cook so Andrew cooked him and himself up a big fry up (the smell made me worse and I had to sit in another room....LOL).
I was very naughty on Friday night and had takeaways but with me being sick for the last 2 days, hopefully this will balance out and not give me a gain tomorrow night. This is now week 5 for me and it is the time I start to faulter so I am going to make an extra effort to plan my meals for the coming week.
One thing I did do on Saturday was take Reece out to get his school books etc for school, he was so excited. Our first school visit is on 22nd September and he is counting the days down. I can't believe my baby is going to school *sniff*.
Righto since I am the only one here today, best I get back to it.

Work & Weather
End of month completed..............Hip hip hoorah!!!
I just hate end of month stuff but it is finally over and can get back to the new months stuff (JOY!).
Adam is back to 100% which is great, it seems there is a 24 hour bug going around which I think is what he had? Anyway, he was a happy little vegemite when I got home from work yesterday and running around playing with his brother which was good to see.
Weather is dreamy, it is my 2nd day in a row I have worn short sleeves and not had to put a jacket on to go out.
Getting my hair dyed and cut this weekend (Sat), can't wait as it always makes me feel better.
I'm hoping the weather stays nice (its suppose to be rain...grrr) so I can take the kids back to the maidstone park as they just loved it.
Andrew is golfing Saturday (Club Champs) and then is playing golf with his new boss and his wife on Sunday (nice!) so he will be missing in action most of the weekend, I might get to catch up with a few friends.

Weigh day
700 grams gone.................AMAZING HA!
I was resigned to the fact I was going to put on after my 'Spring Festival' weekend and chinese meal so was very suprised and delighted to see I had lost 700 grams which also gave me my 5kg (5.1kg in total) bookmark which was presented to me at the meeting :)
I reckon drinking gallons and gallons of water since Sunday helped majorly!
I also made homemade pita pizza's which were soooooooo tasty.
I made 2 for myself and couldn't eat them all which was a bonus. I didn't have any tomato paste so put tomato salsa and tomato sauce together which was devine, then added capsicum, mushrooms, spring onion and a wee bit of chicken and then a sprinkling of tasty cheese (bugger all really).
Stayed home from work yesterday and Adam (my youngest) wasn't well. He started up during the night with a high temperature and crying and just wanting me and was still the same in the morning, so I stayed home. Of course as soon as Dad and brother left Adam perked up 100% (little monkey) so we went grocery shopping and I managed to get home and get him into bed for a sleep. He woke after 3 hours really grumpy again but not as bad as the night before, so out came the Pamol and by the time we were ready to pick up Reece from Kohanga he wasn't as bad BUT as soon as we got home he threw up ALL OVER ME and him. I have NEVER seen that much spew come out of one person little own a child which destressed him no end.
After cleaning that up he was fine and running around with him brother and today he seems as good as gold so I have no idea what THAT was about????
I have bit the bullet and gone back to having Equal in my coffee (I like the equal but hate the sediment in the bottom of my cup - gag!) as I added up my sugar points for last week and instead of the 14 I am allocated, I had had 42..................mmmmmmmmm not good.

Spring Festival
Upper Hutt had there Spring Festival on Saturday and we (Andrew, Reece and I) went along for a looksie. We arrived at about 1pm and went and got tickets for the 'storybook circus' for Andrew and Reece for 2pm and then had a quick wander around. 2pm off they went and I then had a good look around and managed to only buy a couple of things for the kids and 2 Kia Kaha t-shirts for Dad and Andrew for Fathers Day (2 for 1 price - bargin).
My girlfriend Sue had passed me at one stage with her sister (that I also know) and said they would text me when they went for a coffee. So about 2.40pm she range and I meet up with them for a well deserved trim latte and a gas bag. As we had all finished our shopping, we managed to sit there laughing and talking for about an hour and a half which was really cool.
I then toddled back to the car to wait for the boys to arrive which they did about 15mins later and Reece was super hyped up after the circus as he loved it so much.
I bought some Danish Donuts from the festival as they are sort of like 'fry breads' and Andrew loves them but I managed to eat way to many of them myself and then ended the day with Chinese takeaway that I again ate too much...............gggggrrrrrrr!
I then felt so guilty that I drank enough water to fill a river (hoping to flush everything away.....yeah right!) and ended up half the night peeing.
Sunday was another day where we actually got things done and started out going to pick up the remaining fence pailings and then into Bunnings for some conduet (spelling?) so Andrew could finish off the electrical stuff on the deck (lights). Once that was done he started putting on the deck boards and managed to get a third done before the rain started.
Jo and Rhian also popped in for a quick coffee and then I managed to get a nice dinner done for Andrew and my Dad for father's day which consisted of chicken done with an apricot sauce in the crock pot and roast veges with cauliflower, corn and broccoli............mmmmmmmmm.
All in all a great weekend and I am also drowning myself again with water and walking today to try and work off my Saturday naughty food............here's hoping!

On fire!
G'Day everyone, feeling especially good today because it isn't suppose to be a nice day but it IS!
Went for my walk on Wednesday and even though I was out for only 30 minutes, I managed to work up quite a sweat.
Had an awesome dinner of lemon fish and salad last night, there was so much I couldn't eat it all. I also gave Andrew a huge plate and he then moaned that he was still starving and ate 5 bits of toast after it????
I have just finished a really yummy omelette from our canteen here at work with a wee bit of bacon, mushrooms, onion and tomato. The new canteen lady knows I am doing WW and said she would do me a treat and she worked it out that it was only 3 points (used trim milk as well) which is all good. I have bought a massive salad for lunch which I got from Pak N Save and I am really looking forward to that as I had one the other day and it was divine.
We toddled off to Titahi Bay (Porirua) last night and picked up the fence pailings we bought off Trademe and there were hundreds of them. We new there were heaps but didn't know exactly how much, we took our big trailer with a cage on it (sides) but we only got on 2/3's of them and will have to go back on the weekend. Now there are no excuses why the fence can't get started...........apart from he now doesn't have a nail gun and the deck isn't finished.......LOL.
Work is good and I stayed back and wrote my performance review out which makes me sound like GOD (yeah baby!!!). I am hoping my boss agree's with everything and just signs it which will give me a good increase for the year (our year finishes in October).
Must go and have a read of everyone's blogs, I have been waiting for Jodie to post some pictures of her new addition Zoe :)

Weigh day
Another kilo bites the dust........105.9kgs now which is 4.4kgs in total, not bad if I say so myself.
I went and got my Subway on the way home (my treat for the week) and really enjoyed it.
Got home and had my bestest mate Jax ring for a good ole girlie chat (thanks honey!) and got to bed around 9pm to read my latest book 'Digital Fortress' by Dan Brown.
I also remembered to pack my sneakers/runners today with my huge salad and a bit of left over chicken that the boys had last night for dinner. I fully intend to go for a nice brisk walk at lunchtime while the weather is so lovely (don't forget I melt when it rains.......LOL).
Andrew was determined to take back that bloody nail gun I got him and get a concrete mixer and seeing as I had the docket, I met him down there. I managed to get a credit on the HP I started plus the $149.00 extra back for the nails and deck attachment thingy AND that ungrateful husband of mine ended up with NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Mitre 10 didn't have any concrete mixers so I told him he would have to just wait until a later date..............ha, that showed him!!
Righto best I get back to work *major sigh*................ ta ta for now :)

You can't beat Wellington on a good day
What a lovely sunny, warm day it is today - just makes ya feel good.
I had the new Chicpea curry WW dinner last night and must admit I didn't think much of it unfortunately. The curry sauce was divine but the chicpea's were tasteless???
I had some extra vege's with it as the spoonful of rice and 1 or two beans and brocolli just wasn't enough for me plus some vogels bread (love that!!!) and I was still under my points for the day.
Today I have tried the new berry WW cereal as I have just finished a box of Orchard fruits WW cereal and it was yummy. The berry one is just as nice if not nicer and as it is weigh in day (tonight at 6.30pm) I am drinking gallons of water (rather than this evening when I usually drink most of my water) which is a bit of a struggle. Lunch will consist of vitaweats with cottage cheese and pickles (YUMMO!!!) and I will have dinner AFTER weigh in.......hehehehe, every little bit counts.
Thanks for the kind words about my insensitive husband and his nail gun. He told me this morning that he has decided to take the nail gun back and get a cement mixer WTF?????
So I asked him what he intends to do with that and he reckons he is going to eventually re-do the driveways as they are cracked. I suggested that finishing the deck and fences would be good before he even thinks about the driveways but he had retreated to his 'cave' and wasn't listening to me.
I meant to mention that on the WW cereals packs there are some really yummy recipes with points value etc...
Apricot Crumble
Serves:4
Points per serve: 5 1/2
825g canned apricots, drained and chopped
1.5 cups (140g) WW orchard fruits cereal
1.5 tbs honey
50g WW canola spread, melted
cooking oil spray
Low fat yoghurt to serve (optional)
Preheat oven to 180, lightly spray dish with cooking spray
Put apricots in the prepared dish
In another bowl, combine the cereal, canola spread and honey
Sprinkle the topping over the fruit and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown
Serve with low-fat yoghurt (add 1/2 point for 50g)
Sounds good ay? I think I might try it on the weekend.

Another weekend gone
Well I had a very busy weekend but think I managed it quite well.
Saturday I did all my housework as we had visitors for dinner and wanted everything spick and span. Chinese for dinner and I think I did really well, stuck to all the vegetable dishes and stayed away from the battered fish and chicken with lemon and sweet and sour sauce.
I also had apple danish for desserts with custard and cream and managed to dish everyone up a plate except me.........YAY Rachel!
We had HEAPS leftover and I usually have a field day the next day but didn't have 1 little mouthfull which Andrew was quite pleased about as he got Chinese for breakfast on his birthday.
If you remember me saying, I got Andrew a nail gun which I thought was brilliant as he has a deck to finish and we are re-fencing our whole property plus he loves tools BUT what was the reaction I got when he opened it you ask?????? "Oh, that was a waste of money wasn't it? I will hardly use it" guess who wasn't impressed? Oh yes that would be me!!!!! Grrrrr ungrateful little so and so.
That didn't start the day very well for any of us but while he toddled off to golf, the boys and I still got his roast ready for dinner plus an apple crumble and baked him a birthday cake (I deserve a blinkin' medal sometimes).
When he got back from golf, we took the kids to the park for a while which they loved as they had been stuck inside the day before because of the horrible rain. Roast for dinner and apple crumble for dessert (I didn't have any), and banana/chocolate birthday cake (I had one small piece).
I ended the day with a lovely hot bath and then finished off my Da Vinci Code book.....aarrgghh
All in all I reckon I didn't do too bad over the weekend for food............it could have been better but at least I have broken my old habits of just pigging out and then moaning about it afterwards. Roll on weigh in tomorrow night..........hehehehe.

Big Weekend
I have been such a good girl with my food this week I even surprise myself.......LOL
Water has been good as well and my 'tight' jeans that I have on today as actually not completely cutting me in half.......hahahahaha.
I am going out for lunch today with 2 good friends from work (good ole' Mitre 10 Mega) as a double celebration as one of their birthdays is on Sunday (same day as Andrew's) and the other was nearly 2 weeks ago.
I mentioned it to Andrew last night and now he wants to come (bugger it!), I know that sounds horrible but I have to pick up part of his birthday present on my way out and I don't want him anywhere near me or he will get an idea about what he is getting and I love to surprise him.
I went in there on Wednesday and purchased a nail gun for his birthday because he has always wanted one and I figure it will benefit me as well as he will get the deck finished and the fences done quicker because he will want to play with it (cheeky ay?). I also got a box a nails but have now been told by a couple of DIY men that they are too long and I have to get the smaller one's.
So I figured I would just pick them up today on my way back to lunch but now 'nosy' is going to come to lunch, that has ruined that plan.
Anyway, it will be golf for him early Saturday morning (me housework) and then we are going to go to Porirua and pick up some fence pailings we got off trademe. We then have about 8 people coming for dinner for Andrew's birthday (Chinese - I have saved points) and then Sunday is his actual birthday and I am hoping it is a nice day so he can 'play' with his present and get the deck finished.........hahahahaha.
Sunday night is a roast for dinner which will be nice because I haven't had one for weeks and weeks.
Work - I have ISO auditors here today and I'm guessing they will be up at any moment so I'd better get going, have a nice weekend everyone :)

Weigh in......
.900grams gone!!!!!
Yeah Baby!!!!
Bringing me down to 106.9kg which is a total of 3.4kgs in 2 weeks...........gotta love that.
Had a really good couple of days which isn't a surprise now I'm back at work. I have been getting back into my salad's with cooked chicken on top and have been really loving it.
Did I tell you all that I picked up the WW Seafood Rissotto and it was just divine?
That and the vegetarian lasagne are my favourite and they seem to be the hardest to find, I have been to 3 different supermarkets in the last 2 weeks and not one of them had these dinners.
Today I have had 2 pieces of toast with jam (Burgen? or something like that - really nice) and for lunch I have 4 or 6 (haven't decided yet) vitaweat crackers with a sundried tomato & basil lite tuna.............yummo! Afternoon tea is a apple crumble WW bar, I haven't decided what is for dinner but my freezer is bare so I will be visiting the supermarket on my way home.
Off to visit Jo for a coffee and a natter tonight and that should be me :)

Why?
Why do I do really well all week and fall over on the weekends? I know I keep asking myself this but everything I try just doesn't seem to work.
This weekend I decided to keep myself busy and not think about food which went brilliantly on Saturday and I was very happy Saturday night and even got a few WW biscuits with my coffee.
Sunday was a different thing, I have sort of had a cold the last week or so - you know the ones that just won't come? They tease for days with sore bones, sore throat, clogged up nose but never really turn into anything serious............well on Sunday I woke up feeling yuk but still OK (make sense?). I managed to get some housework done once Andrew went to golf (he cooked me a lovely omelete for breakfast) and made the kids lunch and then Adam went for his afternoon sleep about 1pm and that's when I hit a brick wall. Reece wanted to play on the computer which I said yes to and I sat on the couch with a blanket, coffee and the remote and watched mindless TV (The E channel) for 3 hours *gasp*......... I know, I know............
Reece thought it was Christmas because he is never aloud on the computer for that long but he was a quite as a mouse the whole time and Adam slept for nearly 4 hours (didn't I pay for that later on.........LOL). At about 3pm I was really hungry so I went to the back fridge and got out a KING SIZE Crunchie bar and figured if I gave half to Reece it wouldn't be as bad (???? Duh!).
Andrew got home and bought fish and chips (for him and the kids) but I just couldn't resist. I had 1 fish and 2 chip buddies *sigh* and then (of course) I felt worse that night as I felt like I had a layer of fat in my mouth.
Managed to get my ironing done before I went to bed and woke up this morning feeling OK (not sick enough to stay home) but it is now 3.24pm and I'm feeling crappy again.
I have so much on this week that I just can't afford to have any time off which sux.
Anyhoo - It's Andrew's 37th birthday on Sunday and we have some friends coming over Saturday night for a Chinese meal and I have already gone through my 'takeaway points book' and worked out what I can have plus I have a whole week to save a point here and a point there.
Then on Sunday we are going to have a 'family day' with just us and the kids and I will cook him a yummy roast for dinner. He is one of the hardest people to buy for but I managed to get tickets to 'The Laughing Samoans' which are these comedians that he just loves and we are going to go out for dinner before the show (more points to save up.......LOL).
To say weekends are challenging is an understatement!
Not much else to report - ta ta for now.

What a blast!!!
Went out with Karen, Helena, Jo (Birthday Girl), Rose and Karen to the Trentham Carvery on Wednesday night for dinner and we had such a good time. We all laughed so hard that our cheeks hurt. We were definately the loudest table in the place but didn't care.
Foodwise I was excellent as I had only had my toast for breakfast and then 3 kiwifruits during the day so I would have enough points in case I needed them but I really didn't. I had a small dinner roll and pumpkin soup for starters and then for main I had a wee bit of pork, two slices of beef, 1 small piece of potato, 1 piece of Kumra, 1 piece of cauliflower (with cheese sauce), 1 small spoonful of some sort of pasta bake (average) and heaps of carrots and cabbage - I would have had more cabbage but HELENA took it all........................hahahahaha, just joking mate! That's it, no dessert but a few glasses of wine and 1 gin, lime and lemonaide (YUM!). I felt excellent at the end of the meal and not full at all, just comfortable.
Yesterday was quite a nice day (work and home) and my eating is right on track. I was never a WW cereal girl as I just don't like there variety of cereals but at our meeting on Tuesday night they told us about the new range so I went and picked up the 'Orchard Fruits' and it is divine!
THE TRICK to Toilet training - As most of you know, I have a 'just turned two year old' in my house and I have decided that I wasn't going to rush him into toilet training because I tried doing that with Reece and he just resisted and ended up not being toilet trained until he was 3..............anyway, I went to pick the boys up from Kohanga on Wednesday and the teacher asked if they could now have 'pull-ups' for Adam as he is practically toilet trained. I said 'what? toilet trained' and they said that he has been going to the toilet for a couple of day's now without a problem.
I took him home and they had only put a pair of undies on him, so I asked if he wanted to go to the toilet and he said 'yes mummy', so I took him off and put him on the loo - HERE IS THE TRICK - I sat him (as advised by Kohanga) on the toilet backwards, yep facing the back of the toilet and let him go and he sat there without falling backwards and thinking he was going to fall off as all his weight was leaning forward and he went! He then hopped off put his undies back on and off he went AMAZING! I have been doing this for 2 days now and he has only had one accident but that was because he was calling me to go but I was in another room and couldn't hear him. Admittedly he hasn't done 'number 2's' yet - he waits until we put him bedtime nappy on but I'm sure that will come soon....................I am such a proud Mummy. So to all you mother's out there who want to start toilet training, try that and see what happens :)
I am helping a friend move house tomorrow and then going to our old neiboughs for dinner (chinese) so will be taking my WW takeout book with me. Have a good weekend everyone.
Right back to work I go.

2.5kgs gone !!!!
Yep, weighed in last night and I have lost 2.5kgs (now 107.8kgs).............I just love this little boost weight loss gives me - I feel better about everything.
FUNNIEST thing happened after the WW meeting, I took Andrew's work car to the meeting (Cadbury's - Dairy Milk signwritten all over it) and when we were leaving there were 2 ladies behind me and one whispered to the other (didn't realise I still heard them) "Poor lady, she is on WW and works for Cadbury's, that must be hell).........hahahaha I had such a giggle to myself. They are of course right (except it is Andrew's car and not mine) because he has only been there 2 days and has already bought home heaps of crunchie's, lemon cheesecake and chewy fudge chocolate & Moro Gold bars and I have managed only 3 pieces (which I counted) of the fudge chocolate and everything else I took to work and gave away.......impressive huh!
Going out for dinner tonight with a few girls for Jo's birthday..........really looking forward to it and have managed to save a few extra points (just in case).

Good food and good company
What a lovely weekend I've had, I can't say THAT every weekend.
Saturday I really didn't do much apart from housework plus look after a sick little boy (Adam), just teething I think as he was just grissly with red cheeks etc.... He seemed fine today.
Saturday night Jo came for dinner and I made a yummy sweet chilli chicken breasts that I got from Paulene and also made Felicity's salad which was just 'to die for' with Foccosia (spelling?) bread. Ate that meal well within points as I had planned for it and hadn't eaten lunch (only breakfast) but alas I fell over when we got out the Mini eclairs that I got from the supermarket because I was too lazy to make a dessert *sigh* I have looked and looked in my points books and can't for the life of me find out how much they are worth - Pam's Mini Eclairs, anyone?
Sunday Reece had a birthday party to go to in Lower Hutt that went from 10am - 1.30pm, drop off optional (definately!). Got there at 10am and told Andrew I would go in for 30 minutes or so just until Reece was comfortable and then he (and Adam) could come back and get me and we would go for a wander around Westfields. At 10.30am they had 'Harry the Clown' turn up and he was awesome, I laughed and laughed (oh - so did the kids) but didn't watch the clock and when he had finished it was 11.30am and Andrew and Adam weren't happy little campers...hehe. We went to Westfields and had a look around and a bit to eat at the foodcourt (I had a kebab and counted it at 6 points?) and then we headed back to the party to pick up Reece.
We carried onto Big Save Furniture to price some sofa beds and nearly had a heartattack at the prices ($900 onwards for what we wanted), needless to say Trademe will be our next port of call. Headed home and I tried to lay down with Adam as he wasn't well (still) but needed a sleep and wouldn't leave my site. I managed to get an hour and a half (broken sleep) which was better than nothing. Ended up having left-overs for dinner (yum) and watched The Longest Yard movie on TV (love Adam Sandler) and then off to bed.
All in all an enjoyable weekend had by all.
Got up early this morning as it is Andrew's first day at Cadbury's and I wanted to make sure we were all organised as I had to take the kids to Kohanga and then drop Andrew off (he will be getting his company car today) and managed to get the kids and Andrew to work early ...love that!
I am still being slack with my exercise and I need a good ole kick in the butt. I weigh in tomorrow night and told Andrew I will be going to aqua straight after plus I have still been taking the stairs at work (3 floors up) rather than the lift which is OK (not getting easier either) but will have to get a bit more focused. All in all, I am quite looking forward to my first weigh in back at WW as I feel I have been really good (compared to anything else I have done over the last 2 years) and think the scales will show it (fingers crossed).
By the way - does anyone know why my side bar has repositioned itself at the bottom of the page? How do I fix it?

Tagged
THE RULES: The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself ". In the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
The people who get tagged need to write a blog about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
Chubbymum passed this onto me, so I am continuing with it because I love hearing weird stuff about people (that should have been one of my 5).
Number One: I hate people who chew gum with their mouths open and I can’t help but tiss at them or give them a filthy look
Number Two: I can’t stand seeing hair on peoples clothes and just have to pick it off (even total strangers)
Number Three: I am petrified of dogs, especially big dogs even if their owners tell me that they don’t bite yet I owned a long haired German Shepherd for 13 years and wasn’t afraid of him once
Number Four: I am the ‘chic flick’ Queen and can’t get enough of them, whenever my hubby and kids aren’t around I put one on and sit there crying like a big baby.
Number Five: Copying both CactusFreek and Chubbymum with the birthday theme, I was born on the 7th of the 7th (July) 1970.
My 5 people to tag are:
Paulene
Helena
Ang
Carla
Sue
Can't wait to go and read yours..................chow.

Ew Yuck!

I was reading either Kate or Carla's blog yesterday and they asked if any other bloggers click on the 'Next Blog' on the top right hand side of the screen. I never have, so I thought I would give it a go and there ae some pretty weird people out there (and the occasional sane one) but I came across a couple from LA who are on holiday in Mexico and they went to a restaurant and said that the below picutre was of one of the best meals they have had so far...........OMG, I gagged when I seen it and if it was served up to me I would be hightailing it out of there quick smart.
Can you imagine what there diet is like if they think this is a good meal????
What the heck is on the plate anyway - I can't even work out what sort of food it is.
I have just worked out how to add links (hence Kate and Carla's link), how exciting. I am slowly working out how this blog works.
I finished up on 22 points exactly last night which was excellent but I must admit, I did get hungry later that night. I had a weight watchers meal (Vege Lasagna - my favouite) but I think I should have done some extra vegetables to go with it - live and learn :)
Right, I'm off to go and play with my blog a bit more.

Weight Watchers girl again
UPDATE - 3.44pm
I am going to start writing a recipe book called Blogger Recipes because I am getting the most gorgeous recipes off you ladies.
Paulene - a couple of crock pot recipes (cooking the chicken drumstick one on Sat night)
Felicity - Yummy salad I am making on Sat to go with my chicken dish)
Helena - Zucchini quiche which was bloody beautiful
I have all of these written on little bits of paper and I intend to write them all up soon, so I just wanted to say 'Keep them coming girls!'
Well I re-joined again last night and weighed in at 110.3kgs which is only 400grams more than my home scales, so this is my 'starting' weight.
I was suprised at how much things had changed. I haven't been back since I was pregnant with Adam (about 2 & 1/2 years) and the meeting fee is now $17.90 and I'm pretty sure I was only paying either $13.95 or $15.95 - anyhoo I paid it (plus another 5 weeks - 6 week plan) and bought a Women's Weekly on the way which had a FREE Registration so that saved me $33.00.
I stayed for the meeting and will be staying for the meeting from now on plus I realised that the meeting finishes at 7.30pm and that is when aqua starts at H20 xtreme which I have to drive by on my way home - that's a plan!
I have even drank 2 glasses of water so far this morning rather than leaving it all for the afternoon/evening. I didn't know how the 'No Count' really worked so found out about that as well and have decided it isn't for me, I am going to stick to the Points plan. I also wanted to get onto the WW website and join up for the online tools but when I went on there this morning I realised you have to get something from weight watchers (a number or something) so I will have to weight until next week.
Feel very positive about my weightloss again............long may it last!!!!!
Plus I got another bit of good news this morning - Reece got into Belmont Primary which is a relief and he starts his pre-visits at the end of September (my babies going to school *sob*).

Righto - Over it
G'Day there, I am feeling much better today.
Got home last night and Andrew told me he got a job with Cadbury's that he really wanted and starts next week............yeeha! This is good because he gets a company car which will save a huge amount of money for us as we currently run 2 cars and one is a Nissan Patrol 4x4 that costs about $70 a week to fill (no kidding!). Plus it will be great getting back to 2 incomes again as for the last 2 or 3 years he has been only working part time and looking after the kids and it has been a major stress when it come to money, so I am REALLY happy and relieved for him and us as a family.
We decided to leave the kids with their Pop and go up to the Cossie club for a meal and some drinks to celebrate, now for the people out there who know me - I'm not a drinker but yet I managed to polish off one and a half bottles of wine and between 5 - 7 gin, lime and lemonaide's (my memory on that one is a bit fuzzy).
But the best thing about last night was being alone together to have a good talk. I told him how down I was and that I needed a bit of 'Rachel' time and he agreed. His first thought was that I wanted to go to my mate Jax for a holiday (she lives in Whangarei) which would be awesome (love ya Jax) but we just don't have the money to do that (not yet anyway). I told him that I really need something else to help me with my weightloss as it is consuming me at the moment and because I am not getting on top of it, I am getting really down. We talked about when I was doing really well and losing lots of weight and put it down to me being at Weight Watchers. I didn't use to hang around for the meetings but just the accoutability of going every week and stepping on those scales was a major boost, so as of tonight I am re-joining (for about the 5th time) but I have vowed to stay for the meetings as well for the extra support. Then I am going to concentrate on the exercise, I really don't know if the answer is joining a gym or not but will talk about this at the meetings. I now feel I have a wee bit of control left and feel alot better.
Thanks for all your supportive comments as they really meant alot. I know all the right answers but sometimes I just need to be reminded of them and having time for myself is something I haven't done for years. Onwards and upwards!

Major blowout..........bugger!
900grams up..............I would like to say 'How did that happen' but unfortunately I know. After being a diet queen Monday - Friday, the weekend rolled around and I just went crazy.
McDonald's Friday night, chocolate biscuits and popcorn while watching a movie, subway (foot long) and then about 6 slices of bread for breakfast BOTH morning.......why, why, why???
PLUS I didn't do my 'challenge' and get my ass on that bike of mine.
I'm not making any excuses for doing it as I usually have a bad weekend but this one tops the list of 'worst weekend' for quite some time.
I had quite an emotional weekend as well, TOM is due which doesn't help I know but I had a fight with Andrew on Saturday morning and that is still going, I am JUST talking to him.
Plus I had figured I would get the washing done Saturday morning as it was such a beautiful day (which I did) and then got the kids bundled up in the car so we could take the DVD's back to the video store and head to the park and by the time we got there it was raining and clever Mum didn't bring any raincoats (I really didn't think it was suppose to rain?). So we drove around for 30 minutes or so just to keep them occupied, Adam fell asleep so I thought I'd better head home. Once home I tried to transfer the little angel into his bed but OH NO, not on your nelly was he having a bar of that which meant he was up all day without a sleep (apart from 5 minutes in the car) and was in a foul mood and decided taking it out on his brother would be fun.........NOT! It got so bad with them fighting that I ended up sitting on the couch crying (which got their attention) and I NEVER do that. They settled down a bit after that (for at least an hour) while I got dinner started. Their father got home at about 5.30pm, we ate dinner about 6pm and he was asleep on the couch by 7pm. I eventually got the kids bathed and into bed and thought I would head off to bed about 9pm to read my book and then he woke up and started moaning about 'what a great Saturday night this is' with all of us in bed by 9pm just when he wakes up............boo bloody hoo!
Sunday I was up by 7.30pm (sleep in really) but Andrew stayed on the couch all morning while I feed him and the kids and then I hit a brick wall and lost the plot. I told him that if he could go out for 6 hours (golf the day before) and then spend his day on the couch doing nothing then I was heading out for the day myself. I jumped into my car and off I went (didn't know where at that stage) I ended up at Westfield's and decided to look for a new pair of boots for work as I am living in one pair at the moment. Couldn't find any shoes but managed to get myself 2 tops for work in Farmers, so I headed to No.1 Shoe store and got myself a nice pair of shoes which come to my ankles with little zips up the side (god knows why but it looks nice) and they only cost me $60.00 the ones in Westfields were between $189 - $220.00 - I don't think so!
Got another DVD for us on the way home (River Queen - hated it and turned it off half way through) and got home to see Andrew still on the couch with his blanky and the kids demolishing the house *sigh*. I ignored this and cooked dinner and for some reason didn't get to bed unit 11.30pm..............not a great weekend to say the least BUT what I wanted to say is, while in Westfields I noticed heaps of couples where the women was overweight and their partner and kids weren't and it reminded me of my family. All of these women looked untidy and unkept and all there rolls etc were showing and I had to go to the toilets as I just started bawling. I looked at myself in the toilet mirror and thought "Oh my god, I look like that" and it was really depressing because all those women didn't realise that they looked like slobs (just like me) and it was just humiliating realising that I look like that. So after my wee cry, I went to Subway (instead of the foodcourt where I wouldn't have been really bad) and then home.
Today I am wearing one of my new tops and my new shoes and I feel heaps better plus I also bought some Revlon age defying makeup that my sister put me onto (which I forgot to put on but I will tomorrow) as I have never wore foundation or much make-up really and I think it is about time I took better care of my appearance. So this coupled with my healthly eating (weekends included) and exercise (I am SO getting on that damn bike tonight) I am going to stop mopping about and do something.
I love reading your blogs out there that are so focused on exercise and I just want to know how I can get there??? One day soon ------

Tight jeans
Well I found a pair of black jeans (bootlegs) from a couple of years ago that I just LOVE but they are a bit tight BUT I decided to wear them anyway which, so far, has been a good idea because eating isn't even entering my head because if I put anything in my mouth these jeans are going to get tighter and cut me in half. When I got down to my lowest weight these jeans were practically too big and now they are tight (to say the least) which has given me a good ole' burst of encouragement that I need.
I have been a good food girl but alas, that bike in the garage is gathering dust and I made myself a challenge to get on it this week and I think TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!
I cooked a really nice Fish pie for dinner last night and even took off the mashed spud and just ate the filling which was divine. I had good intentions of doing some fresh steamed vege's with this but somehow it never happened, it was good anyway and I don't think I ate too much?
Sue sent me her old points guides (thanks heaps for that Sue - they are like brand new) and looking briefly in them this morning before work, I was horrified to see that I haven't been as good at guessing the points as I thought (whoops). Must get that under control.
Don't have heaps planned for the weekend really, housework of course (boring) and I really want to try and get the kids OUT OF THE HOUSE as they seem to have been stuck inside for weeks and weeks. Andrew has been doing work at home and I have also been pottering around which means we haven't gotten out but we really need to make an effort for the boys.
Right I have gabbled on enough - have an awesome weekend everyone :)

Plodding along
Not much happening in my neck of the woods this week (shock horror!!!)........LOL
Been a good food girl and a bad exercise girl, I'm sitting here thinking of why I am a bad exercise girl and I can't come up with an answer. I have my bike sitting in the garage all ready to go and my legs are working fine so there isn't an excuse apart from the truth - lazy, lazy, lazy.
Have had a couple of busy days at home just with the kids and housework etc as Andrew has been working some long hours and I have been 'johnny on the spot'. I am amazed at how much he does do at home until he isn't there doing it :) He is a good boy - sometimes -.
Challenge to myself before the end of the week - GET ON THAT BIKE GIRL!
I had a really yummy chicken thingy last night that was in the crockpot all day (mmmmmmm), simple as anything. It was about 6 or 8 chicken thighs (skinned) in the bottom with 1 large onion and about 10 mushrooms with salt and pepper and a tin of 'chopped Indian spices tomatos'. I found this new flavour in the 'tinned tomato' range on Monday night while picking up a few things from pak n save and it is really yummy - not to hot or spicy but enough to know it's there. Just cooked it all day on low (approx. 9 hours) and it was divine when Andrew and I had it last night.
That's me for today girls.............talk to you soon

No change
I hate that!
107kgs which means I stayed the same as last week......ggrrrr!
I know that at least it isn't a gain BUT I was really good Monday to Friday...LOL.
Weekends just kill me, I mean really kill me.
Friday night I had Texacana Burger for dinner (with wedges) and then I had too much bread with my dinner's (Sat and Sun) and 1/2 bag popcorn while watching a movie last night.
OK maybe I do know why I didn't lose anything this week *sigh*.
Andrew has the stereo up and running in the garage which means I don't hand ANY excuse to get on that bike that is just sitting in there calling my name. I haven't decided if I am going to do morning's or evening's but I am swaying toward's morning because I am basically just lazy in the evenings and know I won't get my butt out there.
Had a relatively quite weekend. Saturday I got my hair coloured and cut and my eldest sister also has her hair done there and we had the same appointment time so got to have a good ole' catch up for an hour and a half. Our hairdressing thinks we are both mad but loves hearing all about our family going's on. Sheryl (sister) has been going to the same place for about 10 years and put my onto her as well and I have been going for about 6 years.
Always feel heaps better after I have had my hair done plus on the way home from work on Friday I got my eyebrows waxed (ouch!) which also makes me feel spoilt (I can't for the life of me keep it up myself).
Sunday consisted of me and the boys (Andrew was golfing) getting their Thomas train set out and building a massive track in the lounge room and we played for hours, I also went through a few packets of batteries. Played a few board games (Beetles is the favourite at the moment) and then got the spare foam mattress out and put it against the couch and slide down it (not me) which they loved. Then we built a big cubbyhouse in their room between Reece's bed and Adam's cot with about 6 blankets........hehehe loved it!
Made a really nice Chicken roast for dinner with a HUGE vegie dish, there is enough for me to have again tonight (vegies that is) which is good. Andrew is at home today so he will get dinner organised for him and the boys.
That's about it for me.........ta ta

Such a busy girl
I just seem to be really really busy this week with work and home stuff.
Have worked late everynight this week and since I don't get paid overtime (salary) I am getting really tired of it *sigh*. Righto - had my moan, now onto other things.
I'm still the 'Tracker Queen' and really enjoying feeling in control of what is going into my mouth. It has been such a long time since I have actually eaten what is on my plate and then not eaten everyone else's leftovers or filled up on bread. I heard once that it takes 20 minutes for your brain to register if you are still hungry or not (does that make sense????). I figure that I am going to eat what I have planned and if after 20 minutes of me finishing what I eat if I am still hungry THEN I will get something else. So far (5 days in total) I have thought I am still hungry but held off for 20 minutes and then realised that I am full and don't need anything else................good ah?
Had lunch with Jo yesterday (yep Mitre 10 chicken salad again.....god I'm boring) and had a good ole catch up which was great. Then after working late I got home and Andrew had the kids fed, bathed and in their PJ's and all I did was heat up a Weight Watchers meal for myself.
With working late, I have been cheating and eating WW meals a bit but I am too buggered once I get home to THINK about cooking a meal little own actually cooking it plus I have been getting home quiet late and want something quick.
After my vogels toast with tomato (YUM!) for breakfast and ryvita's for lunch, all I have had is a banana and 2 apples as I have been stuck in meetings most of the day but again - don't feel hungry. I had a painful moment this morning when eating my first apple as the juice made one of my teeth really hurt (oh no!) and I am hoping I don't have to visit the dentist as I can't afford it. I ate the second on at about 3.15pm and again came the pain..................gggrrrrrrrr!
I have to take Reece to the school dentist in the morning, so I might have a wee chat to them and see if they could have a quick look (fat chance I'm guessing) and if not, I will have to go and book myself in somewhere. I did have a dentist before I was pregnant and went religously every 6 months but when I got pregnant I stopped and then when I rang to get an appointment to go back, I found out that they now have 'dental highgenious' (sorry about spelling) and it was going to cost for a check-up, Xray and clean $85.00 with the dentist for a check-up and Xray and then I would have to go to the other dude for an initial appointment which would cost me $120.00 and then about $60 - $65 every visit after that - I DON'T THINK SO, especially when it use to cost $80 for the lot. But if I keep getting them damn pain, I am going to have to sort something out *rolls eyes and shakes head*.
Right since I am working late, I'd better actually do some work................ta ta.
P.S. Andrew has my bike set up and I jumped on it and peddled for about 5 minutes and nearly died. I haven't been on it since the Special K triathlon last year.......LOL.

A loss...........
107kgs ..............loss of 1.5kgs
I love the first week of a 'starting again' diet, don't you.........hehehe
I have been really great with my eating and tracking has definately put me back on the straight and narrow. I feel totally in control when I am tracking and get a daily boost at the end of the day when I know I have stuck to points.
I had a really full on weekend with visitors galore, I love catching up with people but BOY did I have a whoa of a headache on Saturday night. I managed to see the haka and then the first 5 minutes of the AB's rugby before I conceded and went to bed. My oldest son was worried about me because everytime someone spoke, I winced in pain. Adam went to be early after a full on day with kids to play with and no sleep (first time ever) so Reece decided he needed to come to bed with me and look after me (very cute and cunning). I think I was asleep before 8pm which is unheard of in my house but I felt a million bucks the following morning.
Andrew finally finished building all of his shelving and whatnot for his shed and now all his tools, nails, paints etc are hidden away and all the other odds and sods are stacked in a corner with a drop cloth over them. He took me out last night to show me and was very proud of himself, he reckons the gym will be started this coming weekend..........YAY!
Right, I'm off to read some journals and catch-up with what everyone has been up to over the weekend.

Wellington weather
Don't ya just hate Wellington weather, I was just reading on stuff (www.stuff.co.nz) about how there is a heatwave in Europe (can you believe it?) and then looked out our window at work and it is foggy, windy, raining and cold *sigh*.
Anyway enough about the stinky weather I have a big weekend planned, I know it is only Thursday but it seems to be getting busier and busier.
Saturday morning I have 2 friends coming around that I haven't seen in months, I use to work nights at ACC (data entry) and I worked with these ladies and they made the 2nd job not just bearable but fun. I really miss them as I now work days (duh!) and one still works nights and the other now owns her own business and is mega busy all the time and is moving soon. Both have 3 kids each and that means that with my 2, we are going to have 8 kids coming on Saturday morning and us 3 girls (hubby has opted for golf - shock horror). I only have a small house 110sqm and I was sort of hoping that it would be a lovely sunny day and we could kick the kids outside to play but I have just looked at the weather report for Saturday and it is horrible :(
Basically I am going to make sure they have lots of food and drinks available and get the boys board games out plus with the toy box and books they should leave us alone to have a girl chat (stop laughing, it could happen).
THEN
Saturday afternoon (4pm) I am going to another friends house (old neighbour) as we are also quite close but I haven't seen her since Adam's birthday and I have missed 2 of her kids birthdays (we buy for each other's kids). I have their pressies but just haven't had a chance to get over to see her but I am guessing that after my full on morning I am going to be glad to get out of the house for an hour or so.
Saturday night is THE GAME so I think we are having Andrew's cousin and wife over (also our kids godparents) which will be nice because once again we don't catch up with them enough.
Sunday - NOTHING!!!! I am going to hopefully have a lazy Sunday (here's hoping).
I am still 'SUPER DIET GIRL' and actually enjoying it this time around (go figure). I have it in my head now that I AM going to get into my summer clothes and I am going to get that promotion at the end of the year and I am going to look professional and I am NOT going to let anyone influence me into doing (or eating) anything I don't want to do!!! (Who is that talking...hahaha).
My exercise still sux but I am working on that, I am still doing Sue's 'use the stairs' challenge (thanks Sue, I am in massive amounts of pain *groan*) and hubby is building me a gym......
Yep you read right, a gym......cool ah?
We cleaned out the spare room and I was going to set up my bike in there BUT we tried this and it took up practically the whole room (with other furniture in there) so we have decided to clean the garage out and set it up as a gym. All his 'boy, tool stuff' has been finally put away into cabinets and shelves which he has built and we are going to (hopefully) line the remaining 3 walls (one is already gibbed) and then set up the stereo and set the bike up plus either hire or buy us a treadmill (eventually) and we have a few weights. Hubby has decided that he wants to lose a bit of weight and get fit as well and also wants to support me but with 2 kids, its a bit hard both of us getting out and about so he said that since we don't use the garage as a garage (junk shed really) we should use it for ourselves. I can't wait because I would rather be at home doing some exercise because I don't feel comfortable walking our streets alone and trying to get to the gym these days seems impossible. So Andrew will hopefully get most of it done this weekend (still building a few shelves for his junk) and I can get into it next week.
I had the yummiest dinner last night of salad and crumped chicken. I only had 1 piece of chicken (I use to eat 2 or 3 in the past) and a mountain of salad and I was SO FULL that I couldn't even have a coffee afterwards. Andrew had the same and really enjoyed it, he usually doesn't like 'rabbit food' when I eat salad but he thought he would try it last night and enjoyed it. All I have to do now is get the kids to eat it...................any ideas?
Tonight my sister is coming over for dinner as her husband in on a Boys Golf Trip in Australia and I haven't been shopping yet so have NOTHING in the cupboards BUT I forgot my lunch today (first time) so I ate 1 (yes just 1) roast beef sandwich from the canteen and the ham and salad vogels sandwich I made for lunch I intend to have for dinner which mean Kim (sister), Andrew and the kids are having pizza for tea..............lazy ah? Bugger it, I can't be fagged cooking a big meal when I don't get any of it (hahaha) plus Andrew won't be home until about 7pm and the kids will eat early........blah blah blah
Funnilly enough - I would rather have my sandwich than a slice of pizza.
Oh my god - is anyone still reading this novel? God I can ramble.
Talk to you all soon *grin*.

Still going strong
Well it is Tuesday afternoon and I am still feeling good and positive (amazing).
I tracked yesterday and felt in control of what was going into my mouth. At the end of the night I worked out that I was 2 points under so decided to have a superwine with my coffee and then realised I hadn't been counting my coffee's...................bugger! I had about 4 or 5 coffee's yesterday and I usually count each one as half a point, so there went my superwine (I was really looking forward to it) *giggle*.
I have asked hubby to set up my bike in our spare room (not that I can see the floor in there) as my Dad bought me a thingy that attaches to the back wheel and it turns it into an exercise bike (cool ah), he got it for me at Xmas and it has only taken me 7 months to get it out........hehehehe.
Andrew had left over 'boil up' (yuk!) for dinner last night and the kids had left over sausages and a bowl of noodles (their favourite) so I ended up having a WW dinner which was really nice (Thai chicken and rice) and I thought I would get hungry later as I am a BIG eater and these meals are medium size but to my suprise I wasn't. I would have still eaten the superwine though - naughty.
Tonight is herb crumped chicken with brocolli, cauliflow and leek and I might roast a piece of pumpkin and potato as well - hmm dunno know? Drinking lots of water and eating fruit and crackers (Ryvita's or vita weats) during the day.
Took up Sue's challenge of making it a 'taking the steps rather than the lift' week and as I work on the 3rd floor, I have been feeling it.

Sick of wasting time
Weighed in this morning and I am 108.5kgs - bad ah, yep I know.
I went back to when I first started this blog (April 06) and in 4 months I have managed to lose 1.0kg........what a waste of my time and yours. I bet you don't get on here to watch me go up and down like a blinkin' yoyo.
I am sick of wasting time!
Saturday I managed to clean out my spare room (nearly completely) and still couldn't find my old WW points guide, so I am going to get another one. Didn't do much else apart from put some Lamb shanks in the crockpot and cleaned the house.
Did absolutely NOTHING on Saturday night which was bliss.
Sunday I got up and the kids and I went into The Warehouse to get one of there friends a birthday present (7 year old). Reece had a lovely time playing with every single toy on the shelves and Adam (in the trolley with me) was very polite and when we got near another shopper he would turn around in his set and say 'Excuse me' (so cute), one women even came and pinched his cheeky and told him how cute he was (she was right, he was cute).
Got home and put Adam to bed and managed to get all of my ironing done before I headed up to Karen's for afternoon tea with a few of the 'girls' which was really lovely.
Karen made some wickedly good muffins and an awesome strong coffee (which I love), we all had a good ole natter and I got home around 4pm.
Got home and Andrew and the kids were all outside playing on their bikes so we stayed outside for an hour or so and then inside for dinner (saugages - boring) and then sat down and cried my way through '50 first dates' - my favourite movie.
I also managed to sit down (before dinner) and type out my 'meal plan' for the week which was actually quite fun to do. I haven't done the shopping yet but will hopefully get that done tomorrow night, now that I know what I'm having it will make it easier as well.

Starting on a Friday
Well I have practically a book full of lists. I wrote a list for everything I could think of (not just 'getting back on the weightloss wagon' and I feel so much better today.
Most of what I wrote out starts as of Monday because I have a few things at home I want to sort out (ie. clean out the spare room so I can fit my bike in there) but then I came into work this morning and a was talking to a lady at work about it and see she "yeah, you can't start a diet on Friday ah?" and I thought WHY NOT!!! So I have officially started again.
I can't for the life of me find my old WW points book but I am going to have a good ole' clean out on the weekend and if not, I will go and buy another one because I really need to start tracking again (properly - not guessing).
So this morning (its only 10.20am) I have had:
2 coffee's with trim milk
2 glasses water (shock horror)
1 bowl of cereal with trim milk (nutragrain - must bring something healthier to work)
Subway for lunch (a friends shout) my order is Ham with salad and ranch dressing
Don't know what I will do for dinner but I have decided to take more time with dinner and not just get home and chuck something together because the kids are hungry. Last night we ate quite late (for us anyway) which was 6.45pm and the kids were that hungry that they ate everything on their plates (a rare occurance) so we decided to try and eat at about 6.15pm from now on which should give me plenty of time to prepare something healthy and not put the kids through starvation *giggle*.
Weekend...........hhhhmmmmmmm
Saturday
I am going to do the big 'clean out' (spare room anyway) and I have a moutain of washing to get done which should be fun with the crap weather we are suppose to have, general housework and try and get the kids out for a couple of hours.
Sunday
Going to Karen's for coffee and some of her baking (don't worry, I'll be good) with Helena, Jo and Janine so I am really looking forward to that and then I intend to go home and plan my weeks eating (lunch's and dinner's). Jo had said she had been doing this and it was working a treat plus I won't be coming home and THEN having to get something out of the freezer to cook, so I am going to give this a try and see how we go.
Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Floundering
Yep, things are going from bad to worse - weight wise - and I really need to refocus and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!
I'm making the weather or the time or the lack of funds or whatever an excuse not to be doing what I should be doing and I'm pretty much out of excuses.
I am going to sit down this weekend and write some lists (I love lists), lists I can stick to.
List one = what do I want
List two = what can I do to get it
I know that once I have written pages and pages of notes, I will come to the conclusion that I just need to stop making excuses and get up earlier or make my lunch the night before or whatever. I can't believe I wrote about how organised I was the other day, well actually yes I can because I seem to be able to organise EVERYONE ELSE except me *sigh*.
Let me let you all in on my food intake for today (so far):
Breakfast - 2 x french toast, 1 x mini sausage roll, 1 x mini savoury
Lunch - Dirty ole pie and chips (2 glasses of water - oh joy!)
Dinner - ?? I have mince out for tea but I don't know what I am going to do with it yet.
So now I have bitched and gotten it out, I am going to do something about it (again).
I have a couple of friends that are sooooooooo in the zone at the moment and I am so excited for them and just wish I could also be in that space as well.
Right onto other news - ummmmmmmm not much actually. Andrew is still as sick as a dog with the flu, I got him some Night and Day tablets last night and within 30 minutes he was out cold. He has been going to bed really early which just isn't like him.
A good friend gave me the Dan Patterson book 'Angels and Demons' and 'The Da Vinci Code' which I am dying to read. I managed the first 3 chapters of 'Angels and Demons' last night and it was really good but I had Reece come into my room at 9.30pm complaining he couldn't sleep and crawled into bed with me (Andrew still on the couch) and wanted the light out.....grrrrr!
But I am looking forward to getting back into it tonight. I use to be a huge reader but then kids came along and I never really got back into it PLUS Andrew and I use to go to bed together and he can't stand the light on (stinker).
Righto, since I am back at work I'd better do a bit more work before I head home to cook dinner and write some lists...................keep you posted.

Organised
Yep that was me this morning............ORGANISED!
Doesn't happen very often but this morning I managed to get up at 6.15am and have a coffee with Andrew before the kids woke up. While I was trying to be simpathetic because he has that horrible flu/cold that is going around, I managed to get the kids cereal out and into plates with milk waiting close by plus put a beef caserole into the crockpot for dinner.........yum.
Then managed a shower and nearly got dressed before son #1 waltzed in, followed closely a few minutes later by son #2.
Oh yeah, I had also gotten their clothes out the night before and they were warming by the fire.
Andrew left for work about 7am and I made all the beds while the kids ate their breakfast (after I had dressed them).
There lies my battle - breakfast - I put the TV on in the mornings so I can at least listen to the news while I'm running around but the kids know how to use the remote now (bugger!) and change the channel to cartoons which means they don't eat their breakfast (until I notice and change it back). There is usually lots of yelling and crying because Mum is being horrible or unfair (yeah right) and they chuck tantrums and refuse to eat their breakfast (wonderful little darlings.......).
So after battling with them and even trying to feed them myself, I usually give up and they go to Kohanga with only a couple of mouthfuls. Luckily they give the kids toast when they arrive so I don't feel 100% guilty but I don't want to be one of those parents who don't feed their kids in the morning *sigh*..........little rats! I'm trying a few different things (ie. don't turn the TV on at all or sit them in a different room to eat breakfast) but so far I am yet to win the battle.
Got to work and was starving so I went straight out to the work canteen and ate 2 slices of French toast (bad Rachel bad!) but then tried to redemn myself by eating my Ryvita's (also made at 6.15am) for lunch and a banana for afternoon tea.
I am really struggling with my water during the day, I am just not even thinking of drinking water as it has been so cold. I am still piling it away of an evening so it isn't a total loss but less loo visits during the night would be nice.

No Weigh in this morning......
I woke up feeling bloated and yukky (TOM due) and decided not to depress myself by getting on the scales...............LOL.
Friday night (birthday night) I got home from work and Andrew had cooked me a beautiful chicken roast dinner and put a bottle of wine in the fridge. We had planned to go to the Cossie Club but I really didn't feel like getting changed and going up there when I was quite tired, so we flagged it. After dinner we had Birthday cake and then the kids went off to bed and Andrew and I watched something mindless on TV before I went for a nice long soak in the bath....mmmmmm.
Saturday we had a lovely day in Wellington (shock horror!) so we got outside for a while with the kids and Andrew worked some more on the deck.
We also finally went up to the bed place in Upper Hutt and ordered in one of those mattress toppers (thanks Sue for the tip) and it should be in by the end of this week. My poor darling decided he would sleep in our bed on Friday night and woke up in agony on Saturday morning (hence the trip to the bed place). In the meantime he is back on the couch.
Saturday night we had a meal out at Petone Workingmens Club for my neice who is moving (with her boyfriend) to Auckland and it was REALLY REALLY nice. It was only a smorgasboard so I wasn't expecting much but everything they had (a huge variety) was really lovely. I was very good and only had a wee taste of this and that and my one and only plate didn't look like a moutain when I sat back down. I did have a plate of dessert which was again a wee taste of this and that and a coffee to end off the night............just right.
My neices and nephew's then convinced me to take them all up to the Upper Hutt Cossie Club and sign them all in, I kept telling them that they wouldn't enjoy it as it is for the 'more mature' crowd but when we got there it was full of kids (18 - 23 year olds) and most of them were well tanked up by the time we got there (10pm). I found out from one of the bartenders that there was a 21st birthday going on and that was why there was so many of them. The music in the main room was 80's and it was excellent, so Andrew and I stayed about an hour before leaving the young one to their own devices.
Yesterday (Sunday) involved housework, a visit from an old friend that I use to work with and one or two people popping in to pick up things we had sold on Trademe.
Andrew started working for a company called Offix (I think that's how you spell it?) and he had to drive to New Plymouth, install some office furniture and drive back. He rang about 5 minutes ago and said he should be back by about 6pm which means he won't get home until 6.30pm at the earliest (Welcome aboard). Oh well, at least he is working.
I am just about to head off myself and get the kids feed and organised for bed before Andrew gets home so they can just have cuddles before they go to bed.
I'm sorry I haven't been around to everyone's journals for a few days but I WILL get there.

36 Today
Yep, I'm the birthday girl today............36 WOW where did that time go.
I woke up this morning and went and had a shower, got dressed blah blah blah (the usual) and I try and get a quick coffee in before I go (which I did this morning). I usually leave before any of the boys open their eyes so didn't expect any birthday wishes before I left but my thoughtful husband has left the boys present and card on the bench for me in the kitchen.
He had gone out to The Warehouse and bought a canvas and some paints and got the boys to paint one side each of it.................well being the big sook I am, I started crying (I'm doing it again now thinking about it...SOOK!) because we don't have a huge amount of disposable cash at the moment and I told Andrew NOT TO BUY A PRESENT for me but this was better than any birthday present I could have ever gotten. Plus to top it all off, Reece (4 year old) had written the card himself!!!!!!! I have been really trying to help him with his writing lately because he is so keen and this was awesome to see because I know he would have been really proud of himself for doing it (rrrrrrrr my boys are growing up *tear*).
I got some lovely perfume from my sister, a bath bomb, soap and draw liners from the lady at work and a Warehouse card from Dad......plus a box of chocolates from the company I work for (which are on my desk for whoever walks in to the Lab today).
I think I am going out for lunch with a workmate (still haven't confirmed) and tonight I am off to the Cossie Club (I am a member) to get my $10.00 birthday credit on my card.....hehehehe.
Not a great deal planned for the weekend, Workingmen's club tomorrow night for a farewell dinner for my neice who is moving to Auckland and that's about it.
I am hoping the weather will clear a wee bit so I can take the boys to the park or something as they have been stuck indoors for ages and there are only so many DVD's and board games I can put up with.
OK, I've stopped blubbering now so I will go and do some work..............bye

Slips, flooding & Accidents
Luckily (or unluckily......can't decide?) I left for work at 7.30am (normal time) and had a slower trip to work because of the horendous weather but managed to still manage it in under 30 minutes. Within 30 minutes of being here, the traffic report on the radio came on and there seems to be absolute caos in Wellington and the Hutt Valley today...........major slip on the motorway, flooding everywhere and heaps of nose to tail accidents. The winds here are up to about 90km an hour and are suppose to get to about 110km before the end of the day and the rain is just pelting down PLUS it's cold.
Righto - that's the weather and traffic update for Wellington (just in case you were interested.....hehehe).
My little fella has finally come right after basically a week of feel horrible, he still has a wee cough but NOTHING like it has been...........YAY!
I have had to work late for the last 2 nights so haven't updated as I was exhausted by the time the end of the day arrived. Now I am sitting here thinking about what to tell you all, I am drawing a blank.
Ummmmmmmmmmmm nope, just can't think of anything to say.
Eating = Average
Exercise = None
Water = Average
Clothes = Don't fit!
Fingers and nose = numb
Blah blah blah
Ta ta 4 now

Health Insurance
I have applied to join our Superannuation at work (back in January) and I finally seen the women from Health Scrren who do the health checks for Sovereign.
I just hate these check, first they ask you a million questions about your health and I always think I am quite healthly until you have to sit there and go through all the operations you have had or why you went to your doctor last, when did you get your eye, ears, vision check and what were the results blah blah blah BUT then they take your blood pressure, height and WEIGHT.
109kgs.............WTF??? I was running late for work this morning and didn't weigh in but thought "I'll just use the weight from this health check".........NOT!
That's a 1.4kg GAIN so I am pouting out my bottom lip and sulking until tomorrow morning when I am going to weigh on MY SCALES.
Righto what else has been happening over the last 5 days?
Thursday & Friday I had my Internal Auditing course and it was pretty bad but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was very much a classroom atmosphere where we were all seated around a table and the facilitator stood up the front and talked to us for a day and a half. The Friday afternoon we had to do some role playing and I am always into that (should have been an actress......hehehe). Got home to a sick wee man (Adam) who was running a temperature, coughing and miserable (which isn't like him). So I ended up with him on my lap for the rest of the evening for cuddles.
Saturday was Adam's 2nd birthday and he still wasn't 100% but had perked up a bit so we headed off down to Lollipop's to meet up with a few kiddies (and mothers) and he was running around playing but just didn't look right. Andrew stayed with him the whole time but he had, what we like to call - 'sick eyes' poor little boy.
We got home and I got the boys some lunch before putting him down to bed.
Karen (a fellow blogger friend) came for a quick visit on Saturday afternoon to have a look at our highchair and a chat. My eldest sister, husband and neice turned up just before Karen left and they stayed for an hour or so as they had come to see Adam for his birthday. Just before they left, Adam woke up and was twice as bad as he was the previous day (high temperature, miserable) so he was stuck to me again for a couple of hours.
Saturday night was Jo's husband Chris's 40th birthday which Andrew and I were really looking forward to as we don't get out much these days and Dad was going to look after the kids BUT with Adam the way he was, I couldn't even go to the loo without him stressing about where I was and crying so I reluctantly had to ring Jo and cancel.
Sunday morning dawned and we popped around to Jo's to give Chris his birthday pressie and card and he looked really good (considering) but dear ole' Jo Jo was still comaed in bed....LOL
We went onto Bunnings where Andrew ran in and got some more cement for our deck he is building and popped into New World for nappies on the way hom.........*phew*.
Sunday was then a quite day with Reece playing on the computer while Adam and I watched one of his DVD's he got for his birthday. I then put Adam to bed after lunch and Reece and I played board games for a couple of hours.
Very quite night, chicken - roast spuds and a vegetable bake for dinner and folded washing for the rest of the evening.
Which brings us to today - Health check, breakfast (I had to fast until the health check was done) and work.
Adam stayed home with Andrew today as he still isn't well but the pamol and tixilicks (spelling?) are now starting to work.
I'm dying to go and catch up with all your blogs but alas, I just won't have time until much later today or even tomorrow.......hope everyone is good :)
