I just seem to be really really busy this week with work and home stuff.
Have worked late everynight this week and since I don't get paid overtime (salary) I am getting really tired of it *sigh*. Righto - had my moan, now onto other things.
I'm still the 'Tracker Queen' and really enjoying feeling in control of what is going into my mouth. It has been such a long time since I have actually eaten what is on my plate and then not eaten everyone else's leftovers or filled up on bread. I heard once that it takes 20 minutes for your brain to register if you are still hungry or not (does that make sense????). I figure that I am going to eat what I have planned and if after 20 minutes of me finishing what I eat if I am still hungry THEN I will get something else. So far (5 days in total) I have thought I am still hungry but held off for 20 minutes and then realised that I am full and don't need anything else................good ah?
Had lunch with Jo yesterday (yep Mitre 10 chicken salad again.....god I'm boring) and had a good ole catch up which was great. Then after working late I got home and Andrew had the kids fed, bathed and in their PJ's and all I did was heat up a Weight Watchers meal for myself.
With working late, I have been cheating and eating WW meals a bit but I am too buggered once I get home to THINK about cooking a meal little own actually cooking it plus I have been getting home quiet late and want something quick.
After my vogels toast with tomato (YUM!) for breakfast and ryvita's for lunch, all I have had is a banana and 2 apples as I have been stuck in meetings most of the day but again - don't feel hungry. I had a painful moment this morning when eating my first apple as the juice made one of my teeth really hurt (oh no!) and I am hoping I don't have to visit the dentist as I can't afford it. I ate the second on at about 3.15pm and again came the pain..................gggrrrrrrrr!
I have to take Reece to the school dentist in the morning, so I might have a wee chat to them and see if they could have a quick look (fat chance I'm guessing) and if not, I will have to go and book myself in somewhere. I did have a dentist before I was pregnant and went religously every 6 months but when I got pregnant I stopped and then when I rang to get an appointment to go back, I found out that they now have 'dental highgenious' (sorry about spelling) and it was going to cost for a check-up, Xray and clean $85.00 with the dentist for a check-up and Xray and then I would have to go to the other dude for an initial appointment which would cost me $120.00 and then about $60 - $65 every visit after that - I DON'T THINK SO, especially when it use to cost $80 for the lot. But if I keep getting them damn pain, I am going to have to sort something out *rolls eyes and shakes head*.
Right since I am working late, I'd better actually do some work................ta ta.
P.S. Andrew has my bike set up and I jumped on it and peddled for about 5 minutes and nearly died. I haven't been on it since the Special K triathlon last year.......LOL.

A loss...........
107kgs ..............loss of 1.5kgs
I love the first week of a 'starting again' diet, don't you.........hehehe
I have been really great with my eating and tracking has definately put me back on the straight and narrow. I feel totally in control when I am tracking and get a daily boost at the end of the day when I know I have stuck to points.
I had a really full on weekend with visitors galore, I love catching up with people but BOY did I have a whoa of a headache on Saturday night. I managed to see the haka and then the first 5 minutes of the AB's rugby before I conceded and went to bed. My oldest son was worried about me because everytime someone spoke, I winced in pain. Adam went to be early after a full on day with kids to play with and no sleep (first time ever) so Reece decided he needed to come to bed with me and look after me (very cute and cunning). I think I was asleep before 8pm which is unheard of in my house but I felt a million bucks the following morning.
Andrew finally finished building all of his shelving and whatnot for his shed and now all his tools, nails, paints etc are hidden away and all the other odds and sods are stacked in a corner with a drop cloth over them. He took me out last night to show me and was very proud of himself, he reckons the gym will be started this coming weekend..........YAY!
Right, I'm off to read some journals and catch-up with what everyone has been up to over the weekend.

Wellington weather
Don't ya just hate Wellington weather, I was just reading on stuff (www.stuff.co.nz) about how there is a heatwave in Europe (can you believe it?) and then looked out our window at work and it is foggy, windy, raining and cold *sigh*.
Anyway enough about the stinky weather I have a big weekend planned, I know it is only Thursday but it seems to be getting busier and busier.
Saturday morning I have 2 friends coming around that I haven't seen in months, I use to work nights at ACC (data entry) and I worked with these ladies and they made the 2nd job not just bearable but fun. I really miss them as I now work days (duh!) and one still works nights and the other now owns her own business and is mega busy all the time and is moving soon. Both have 3 kids each and that means that with my 2, we are going to have 8 kids coming on Saturday morning and us 3 girls (hubby has opted for golf - shock horror). I only have a small house 110sqm and I was sort of hoping that it would be a lovely sunny day and we could kick the kids outside to play but I have just looked at the weather report for Saturday and it is horrible :(
Basically I am going to make sure they have lots of food and drinks available and get the boys board games out plus with the toy box and books they should leave us alone to have a girl chat (stop laughing, it could happen).
THEN
Saturday afternoon (4pm) I am going to another friends house (old neighbour) as we are also quite close but I haven't seen her since Adam's birthday and I have missed 2 of her kids birthdays (we buy for each other's kids). I have their pressies but just haven't had a chance to get over to see her but I am guessing that after my full on morning I am going to be glad to get out of the house for an hour or so.
Saturday night is THE GAME so I think we are having Andrew's cousin and wife over (also our kids godparents) which will be nice because once again we don't catch up with them enough.
Sunday - NOTHING!!!! I am going to hopefully have a lazy Sunday (here's hoping).
I am still 'SUPER DIET GIRL' and actually enjoying it this time around (go figure). I have it in my head now that I AM going to get into my summer clothes and I am going to get that promotion at the end of the year and I am going to look professional and I am NOT going to let anyone influence me into doing (or eating) anything I don't want to do!!! (Who is that talking...hahaha).
My exercise still sux but I am working on that, I am still doing Sue's 'use the stairs' challenge (thanks Sue, I am in massive amounts of pain *groan*) and hubby is building me a gym......
Yep you read right, a gym......cool ah?
We cleaned out the spare room and I was going to set up my bike in there BUT we tried this and it took up practically the whole room (with other furniture in there) so we have decided to clean the garage out and set it up as a gym. All his 'boy, tool stuff' has been finally put away into cabinets and shelves which he has built and we are going to (hopefully) line the remaining 3 walls (one is already gibbed) and then set up the stereo and set the bike up plus either hire or buy us a treadmill (eventually) and we have a few weights. Hubby has decided that he wants to lose a bit of weight and get fit as well and also wants to support me but with 2 kids, its a bit hard both of us getting out and about so he said that since we don't use the garage as a garage (junk shed really) we should use it for ourselves. I can't wait because I would rather be at home doing some exercise because I don't feel comfortable walking our streets alone and trying to get to the gym these days seems impossible. So Andrew will hopefully get most of it done this weekend (still building a few shelves for his junk) and I can get into it next week.
I had the yummiest dinner last night of salad and crumped chicken. I only had 1 piece of chicken (I use to eat 2 or 3 in the past) and a mountain of salad and I was SO FULL that I couldn't even have a coffee afterwards. Andrew had the same and really enjoyed it, he usually doesn't like 'rabbit food' when I eat salad but he thought he would try it last night and enjoyed it. All I have to do now is get the kids to eat it...................any ideas?
Tonight my sister is coming over for dinner as her husband in on a Boys Golf Trip in Australia and I haven't been shopping yet so have NOTHING in the cupboards BUT I forgot my lunch today (first time) so I ate 1 (yes just 1) roast beef sandwich from the canteen and the ham and salad vogels sandwich I made for lunch I intend to have for dinner which mean Kim (sister), Andrew and the kids are having pizza for tea..............lazy ah? Bugger it, I can't be fagged cooking a big meal when I don't get any of it (hahaha) plus Andrew won't be home until about 7pm and the kids will eat early........blah blah blah
Funnilly enough - I would rather have my sandwich than a slice of pizza.
Oh my god - is anyone still reading this novel? God I can ramble.
Talk to you all soon *grin*.

Still going strong
Well it is Tuesday afternoon and I am still feeling good and positive (amazing).
I tracked yesterday and felt in control of what was going into my mouth. At the end of the night I worked out that I was 2 points under so decided to have a superwine with my coffee and then realised I hadn't been counting my coffee's...................bugger! I had about 4 or 5 coffee's yesterday and I usually count each one as half a point, so there went my superwine (I was really looking forward to it) *giggle*.
I have asked hubby to set up my bike in our spare room (not that I can see the floor in there) as my Dad bought me a thingy that attaches to the back wheel and it turns it into an exercise bike (cool ah), he got it for me at Xmas and it has only taken me 7 months to get it out........hehehehe.
Andrew had left over 'boil up' (yuk!) for dinner last night and the kids had left over sausages and a bowl of noodles (their favourite) so I ended up having a WW dinner which was really nice (Thai chicken and rice) and I thought I would get hungry later as I am a BIG eater and these meals are medium size but to my suprise I wasn't. I would have still eaten the superwine though - naughty.
Tonight is herb crumped chicken with brocolli, cauliflow and leek and I might roast a piece of pumpkin and potato as well - hmm dunno know? Drinking lots of water and eating fruit and crackers (Ryvita's or vita weats) during the day.
Took up Sue's challenge of making it a 'taking the steps rather than the lift' week and as I work on the 3rd floor, I have been feeling it.

Sick of wasting time
Weighed in this morning and I am 108.5kgs - bad ah, yep I know.
I went back to when I first started this blog (April 06) and in 4 months I have managed to lose 1.0kg........what a waste of my time and yours. I bet you don't get on here to watch me go up and down like a blinkin' yoyo.
I am sick of wasting time!
Saturday I managed to clean out my spare room (nearly completely) and still couldn't find my old WW points guide, so I am going to get another one. Didn't do much else apart from put some Lamb shanks in the crockpot and cleaned the house.
Did absolutely NOTHING on Saturday night which was bliss.
Sunday I got up and the kids and I went into The Warehouse to get one of there friends a birthday present (7 year old). Reece had a lovely time playing with every single toy on the shelves and Adam (in the trolley with me) was very polite and when we got near another shopper he would turn around in his set and say 'Excuse me' (so cute), one women even came and pinched his cheeky and told him how cute he was (she was right, he was cute).
Got home and put Adam to bed and managed to get all of my ironing done before I headed up to Karen's for afternoon tea with a few of the 'girls' which was really lovely.
Karen made some wickedly good muffins and an awesome strong coffee (which I love), we all had a good ole natter and I got home around 4pm.
Got home and Andrew and the kids were all outside playing on their bikes so we stayed outside for an hour or so and then inside for dinner (saugages - boring) and then sat down and cried my way through '50 first dates' - my favourite movie.
I also managed to sit down (before dinner) and type out my 'meal plan' for the week which was actually quite fun to do. I haven't done the shopping yet but will hopefully get that done tomorrow night, now that I know what I'm having it will make it easier as well.

Starting on a Friday
Well I have practically a book full of lists. I wrote a list for everything I could think of (not just 'getting back on the weightloss wagon' and I feel so much better today.
Most of what I wrote out starts as of Monday because I have a few things at home I want to sort out (ie. clean out the spare room so I can fit my bike in there) but then I came into work this morning and a was talking to a lady at work about it and see she "yeah, you can't start a diet on Friday ah?" and I thought WHY NOT!!! So I have officially started again.
I can't for the life of me find my old WW points book but I am going to have a good ole' clean out on the weekend and if not, I will go and buy another one because I really need to start tracking again (properly - not guessing).
So this morning (its only 10.20am) I have had:
2 coffee's with trim milk
2 glasses water (shock horror)
1 bowl of cereal with trim milk (nutragrain - must bring something healthier to work)
Subway for lunch (a friends shout) my order is Ham with salad and ranch dressing
Don't know what I will do for dinner but I have decided to take more time with dinner and not just get home and chuck something together because the kids are hungry. Last night we ate quite late (for us anyway) which was 6.45pm and the kids were that hungry that they ate everything on their plates (a rare occurance) so we decided to try and eat at about 6.15pm from now on which should give me plenty of time to prepare something healthy and not put the kids through starvation *giggle*.
Weekend...........hhhhmmmmmmm
Saturday
I am going to do the big 'clean out' (spare room anyway) and I have a moutain of washing to get done which should be fun with the crap weather we are suppose to have, general housework and try and get the kids out for a couple of hours.
Sunday
Going to Karen's for coffee and some of her baking (don't worry, I'll be good) with Helena, Jo and Janine so I am really looking forward to that and then I intend to go home and plan my weeks eating (lunch's and dinner's). Jo had said she had been doing this and it was working a treat plus I won't be coming home and THEN having to get something out of the freezer to cook, so I am going to give this a try and see how we go.
Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Floundering
Yep, things are going from bad to worse - weight wise - and I really need to refocus and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!
I'm making the weather or the time or the lack of funds or whatever an excuse not to be doing what I should be doing and I'm pretty much out of excuses.
I am going to sit down this weekend and write some lists (I love lists), lists I can stick to.
List one = what do I want
List two = what can I do to get it
I know that once I have written pages and pages of notes, I will come to the conclusion that I just need to stop making excuses and get up earlier or make my lunch the night before or whatever. I can't believe I wrote about how organised I was the other day, well actually yes I can because I seem to be able to organise EVERYONE ELSE except me *sigh*.
Let me let you all in on my food intake for today (so far):
Breakfast - 2 x french toast, 1 x mini sausage roll, 1 x mini savoury
Lunch - Dirty ole pie and chips (2 glasses of water - oh joy!)
Dinner - ?? I have mince out for tea but I don't know what I am going to do with it yet.
So now I have bitched and gotten it out, I am going to do something about it (again).
I have a couple of friends that are sooooooooo in the zone at the moment and I am so excited for them and just wish I could also be in that space as well.
Right onto other news - ummmmmmmm not much actually. Andrew is still as sick as a dog with the flu, I got him some Night and Day tablets last night and within 30 minutes he was out cold. He has been going to bed really early which just isn't like him.
A good friend gave me the Dan Patterson book 'Angels and Demons' and 'The Da Vinci Code' which I am dying to read. I managed the first 3 chapters of 'Angels and Demons' last night and it was really good but I had Reece come into my room at 9.30pm complaining he couldn't sleep and crawled into bed with me (Andrew still on the couch) and wanted the light out.....grrrrr!
But I am looking forward to getting back into it tonight. I use to be a huge reader but then kids came along and I never really got back into it PLUS Andrew and I use to go to bed together and he can't stand the light on (stinker).
Righto, since I am back at work I'd better do a bit more work before I head home to cook dinner and write some lists...................keep you posted.

Organised
Yep that was me this morning............ORGANISED!
Doesn't happen very often but this morning I managed to get up at 6.15am and have a coffee with Andrew before the kids woke up. While I was trying to be simpathetic because he has that horrible flu/cold that is going around, I managed to get the kids cereal out and into plates with milk waiting close by plus put a beef caserole into the crockpot for dinner.........yum.
Then managed a shower and nearly got dressed before son #1 waltzed in, followed closely a few minutes later by son #2.
Oh yeah, I had also gotten their clothes out the night before and they were warming by the fire.
Andrew left for work about 7am and I made all the beds while the kids ate their breakfast (after I had dressed them).
There lies my battle - breakfast - I put the TV on in the mornings so I can at least listen to the news while I'm running around but the kids know how to use the remote now (bugger!) and change the channel to cartoons which means they don't eat their breakfast (until I notice and change it back). There is usually lots of yelling and crying because Mum is being horrible or unfair (yeah right) and they chuck tantrums and refuse to eat their breakfast (wonderful little darlings.......).
So after battling with them and even trying to feed them myself, I usually give up and they go to Kohanga with only a couple of mouthfuls. Luckily they give the kids toast when they arrive so I don't feel 100% guilty but I don't want to be one of those parents who don't feed their kids in the morning *sigh*..........little rats! I'm trying a few different things (ie. don't turn the TV on at all or sit them in a different room to eat breakfast) but so far I am yet to win the battle.
Got to work and was starving so I went straight out to the work canteen and ate 2 slices of French toast (bad Rachel bad!) but then tried to redemn myself by eating my Ryvita's (also made at 6.15am) for lunch and a banana for afternoon tea.
I am really struggling with my water during the day, I am just not even thinking of drinking water as it has been so cold. I am still piling it away of an evening so it isn't a total loss but less loo visits during the night would be nice.

No Weigh in this morning......
I woke up feeling bloated and yukky (TOM due) and decided not to depress myself by getting on the scales...............LOL.
Friday night (birthday night) I got home from work and Andrew had cooked me a beautiful chicken roast dinner and put a bottle of wine in the fridge. We had planned to go to the Cossie Club but I really didn't feel like getting changed and going up there when I was quite tired, so we flagged it. After dinner we had Birthday cake and then the kids went off to bed and Andrew and I watched something mindless on TV before I went for a nice long soak in the bath....mmmmmm.
Saturday we had a lovely day in Wellington (shock horror!) so we got outside for a while with the kids and Andrew worked some more on the deck.
We also finally went up to the bed place in Upper Hutt and ordered in one of those mattress toppers (thanks Sue for the tip) and it should be in by the end of this week. My poor darling decided he would sleep in our bed on Friday night and woke up in agony on Saturday morning (hence the trip to the bed place). In the meantime he is back on the couch.
Saturday night we had a meal out at Petone Workingmens Club for my neice who is moving (with her boyfriend) to Auckland and it was REALLY REALLY nice. It was only a smorgasboard so I wasn't expecting much but everything they had (a huge variety) was really lovely. I was very good and only had a wee taste of this and that and my one and only plate didn't look like a moutain when I sat back down. I did have a plate of dessert which was again a wee taste of this and that and a coffee to end off the night............just right.
My neices and nephew's then convinced me to take them all up to the Upper Hutt Cossie Club and sign them all in, I kept telling them that they wouldn't enjoy it as it is for the 'more mature' crowd but when we got there it was full of kids (18 - 23 year olds) and most of them were well tanked up by the time we got there (10pm). I found out from one of the bartenders that there was a 21st birthday going on and that was why there was so many of them. The music in the main room was 80's and it was excellent, so Andrew and I stayed about an hour before leaving the young one to their own devices.
Yesterday (Sunday) involved housework, a visit from an old friend that I use to work with and one or two people popping in to pick up things we had sold on Trademe.
Andrew started working for a company called Offix (I think that's how you spell it?) and he had to drive to New Plymouth, install some office furniture and drive back. He rang about 5 minutes ago and said he should be back by about 6pm which means he won't get home until 6.30pm at the earliest (Welcome aboard). Oh well, at least he is working.
I am just about to head off myself and get the kids feed and organised for bed before Andrew gets home so they can just have cuddles before they go to bed.
I'm sorry I haven't been around to everyone's journals for a few days but I WILL get there.

36 Today
Yep, I'm the birthday girl today............36 WOW where did that time go.
I woke up this morning and went and had a shower, got dressed blah blah blah (the usual) and I try and get a quick coffee in before I go (which I did this morning). I usually leave before any of the boys open their eyes so didn't expect any birthday wishes before I left but my thoughtful husband has left the boys present and card on the bench for me in the kitchen.
He had gone out to The Warehouse and bought a canvas and some paints and got the boys to paint one side each of it.................well being the big sook I am, I started crying (I'm doing it again now thinking about it...SOOK!) because we don't have a huge amount of disposable cash at the moment and I told Andrew NOT TO BUY A PRESENT for me but this was better than any birthday present I could have ever gotten. Plus to top it all off, Reece (4 year old) had written the card himself!!!!!!! I have been really trying to help him with his writing lately because he is so keen and this was awesome to see because I know he would have been really proud of himself for doing it (rrrrrrrr my boys are growing up *tear*).
I got some lovely perfume from my sister, a bath bomb, soap and draw liners from the lady at work and a Warehouse card from Dad......plus a box of chocolates from the company I work for (which are on my desk for whoever walks in to the Lab today).
I think I am going out for lunch with a workmate (still haven't confirmed) and tonight I am off to the Cossie Club (I am a member) to get my $10.00 birthday credit on my card.....hehehehe.
Not a great deal planned for the weekend, Workingmen's club tomorrow night for a farewell dinner for my neice who is moving to Auckland and that's about it.
I am hoping the weather will clear a wee bit so I can take the boys to the park or something as they have been stuck indoors for ages and there are only so many DVD's and board games I can put up with.
OK, I've stopped blubbering now so I will go and do some work..............bye

Slips, flooding & Accidents
Luckily (or unluckily......can't decide?) I left for work at 7.30am (normal time) and had a slower trip to work because of the horendous weather but managed to still manage it in under 30 minutes. Within 30 minutes of being here, the traffic report on the radio came on and there seems to be absolute caos in Wellington and the Hutt Valley today...........major slip on the motorway, flooding everywhere and heaps of nose to tail accidents. The winds here are up to about 90km an hour and are suppose to get to about 110km before the end of the day and the rain is just pelting down PLUS it's cold.
Righto - that's the weather and traffic update for Wellington (just in case you were interested.....hehehe).
My little fella has finally come right after basically a week of feel horrible, he still has a wee cough but NOTHING like it has been...........YAY!
I have had to work late for the last 2 nights so haven't updated as I was exhausted by the time the end of the day arrived. Now I am sitting here thinking about what to tell you all, I am drawing a blank.
Ummmmmmmmmmmm nope, just can't think of anything to say.
Eating = Average
Exercise = None
Water = Average
Clothes = Don't fit!
Fingers and nose = numb
Blah blah blah
Ta ta 4 now

Health Insurance
I have applied to join our Superannuation at work (back in January) and I finally seen the women from Health Scrren who do the health checks for Sovereign.
I just hate these check, first they ask you a million questions about your health and I always think I am quite healthly until you have to sit there and go through all the operations you have had or why you went to your doctor last, when did you get your eye, ears, vision check and what were the results blah blah blah BUT then they take your blood pressure, height and WEIGHT.
109kgs.............WTF??? I was running late for work this morning and didn't weigh in but thought "I'll just use the weight from this health check".........NOT!
That's a 1.4kg GAIN so I am pouting out my bottom lip and sulking until tomorrow morning when I am going to weigh on MY SCALES.
Righto what else has been happening over the last 5 days?
Thursday & Friday I had my Internal Auditing course and it was pretty bad but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was very much a classroom atmosphere where we were all seated around a table and the facilitator stood up the front and talked to us for a day and a half. The Friday afternoon we had to do some role playing and I am always into that (should have been an actress......hehehe). Got home to a sick wee man (Adam) who was running a temperature, coughing and miserable (which isn't like him). So I ended up with him on my lap for the rest of the evening for cuddles.
Saturday was Adam's 2nd birthday and he still wasn't 100% but had perked up a bit so we headed off down to Lollipop's to meet up with a few kiddies (and mothers) and he was running around playing but just didn't look right. Andrew stayed with him the whole time but he had, what we like to call - 'sick eyes' poor little boy.
We got home and I got the boys some lunch before putting him down to bed.
Karen (a fellow blogger friend) came for a quick visit on Saturday afternoon to have a look at our highchair and a chat. My eldest sister, husband and neice turned up just before Karen left and they stayed for an hour or so as they had come to see Adam for his birthday. Just before they left, Adam woke up and was twice as bad as he was the previous day (high temperature, miserable) so he was stuck to me again for a couple of hours.
Saturday night was Jo's husband Chris's 40th birthday which Andrew and I were really looking forward to as we don't get out much these days and Dad was going to look after the kids BUT with Adam the way he was, I couldn't even go to the loo without him stressing about where I was and crying so I reluctantly had to ring Jo and cancel.
Sunday morning dawned and we popped around to Jo's to give Chris his birthday pressie and card and he looked really good (considering) but dear ole' Jo Jo was still comaed in bed....LOL
We went onto Bunnings where Andrew ran in and got some more cement for our deck he is building and popped into New World for nappies on the way hom.........*phew*.
Sunday was then a quite day with Reece playing on the computer while Adam and I watched one of his DVD's he got for his birthday. I then put Adam to bed after lunch and Reece and I played board games for a couple of hours.
Very quite night, chicken - roast spuds and a vegetable bake for dinner and folded washing for the rest of the evening.
Which brings us to today - Health check, breakfast (I had to fast until the health check was done) and work.
Adam stayed home with Andrew today as he still isn't well but the pamol and tixilicks (spelling?) are now starting to work.
I'm dying to go and catch up with all your blogs but alas, I just won't have time until much later today or even tomorrow.......hope everyone is good :)

Intelligent Women !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been in a rut lately (as you all know) and I have been trying to get my head around it.
I have been reading all the other lovely ladies blogs out there and it seems to be a theme at the moment. Helena's comments hit home, we all seems to be finding excuses as to why we aren't losing weight or why we are gaining (like myself).
All the blogs I read are of women who are very intelligent, hard working with great career's and sound very sensible to me. I also look at myself that way and when I do anything in my job, I am committed, meticulous and always make sure each task is done to 100%do the best job I can with NO EXCUSES!
So I can't work out WHY I can't do that in my day to day life (ie. weightloss), why can't I be as committed with myself as I am at work? Is it because I am accountable to someone else if things gone wrong but with my weightloss, I am the one who is accountable and allows myself to 'bend the rules' when it suits me.
I wish I knew the answer's to these questions. I also feel guilty because I get a wee bit of comfort knowing that it isn't just me struggling at the moment either - bad ah because that gives me another excuse (everyone is having trouble blah blah).
I always seem to come up with a perfect excuse as to why I have been bad when I should just 'get on with what I want to do and bugger anyone else'. I work fulltime and have a young family but that really isn't an excuse, if I wanted to find the time to exercise I would. There are thousands of other women out there in the same situation as me and they aren't all overweight ah? *sigh* Ok I think I have that off my chest now, I just need to do something about it, stay posted.
Apart from that, I have nothing else to say......................LOL
Sorry for being so negative, I really hate being negative but I needed to get that off my chest.

Weigh In.....
107.6kgs ..........gain of 400grams *blush*
Well I could say that it was the Triple chocolate brownie I had for lunch the other day but I would be lying. It was the brownie as well as the chinese I ate for dinner last week (Thursday night I think?) plus the fish and chips we had on Friday night (I actually had 2 1/2 chip sandwiches) plus the quick easy crappy food I ate on the weekend (my worse time of the week) which consisted of eggs on toast + extra toast on Saturday morning, toast and toast on Sunday morning and then nuggets, chips and mini pizza's (from the supermarket) last night for dinner...............getting my drift?
Anyway I am thanking my lucky stars it wasn't more than that and I am back to 'Super Diet girl - Mon - Fri'.
Thankfully I got heaps of exercise on the weekend as Andrew and I cleared out our storage unit (saving me $50.00 a week thankyou!) and my muscles are definately feeling it.
Plus I got to list heaps of things (more tonight) on Trademe which have been junking up the place for ages.
.......................
Just got back from lunch (all that typing made me hungry....hehe) and I ate 4 vitaweat's with vegemite and cheese(4.5 points I think) so I'm happy with that.
It started raining on my way back and has now intensified (Bugger!) which will stop Andrew in his tracks as I have just rang him and he has started building our deck out the back (Yay!).
Talking of Andrew, he has a bad back and it has been playing up lately so he has been sleeping on the couch (most of last week) but it was feeling really good on the weekend so he came to bed on Saturday night and by 4am he was in agony again which meant back on the couch he went.
We have a King Size bed which we bought only 3 years ago (cost a fortune) and we got quite a firm mattress (thinking of his back) but the last couple of weeks he just can't sleep on it (poor him, lucky me - king size bed to myself), he has been going to the Osteopath for his usual 'cracking' but to no avail. Here's my dilema - we can't afford a new bed and he can't forever sleep on the couch, so what do we do?
As we spent quite a lot of time at the storage unit on the weekend, we took the kids bikes and they rode around the place (which was empty except for us) for ages which made them really tired and they slept just awesome on the weekend..yay for small miracles.
Adam did have a really rose cheek and I think he is getting his 2 year old teeth but didn't grizzle once (bless him). They are both hypo little boys and the running (or riding) around most of the weekend really worked a treat so we are going to have to think of more activities we can do in the winter that will have the same effect.....hehehe.
Right - back to work I go.

Funny Sparky trio
We have some electrical contractors here at work and I have know them for years.
Anyway, we asked them if they could do Dad's sparky work for the granny flat which they said yes. Everything was done except for the final hook up of the stove which we had to wait for the Linesman to do his bit before our sparkies could come back....................
Well at 7.20am this morning we get a knock at the door (luckily I was already up and dressed for work) it was 2 of the sparkies and they said "Good morning Rach, kettle on?" so I let them in a put the kettle on and started making coffee's. I put my head into the lounge and Mitch (the apprentice) had taken the remote off Andrew and switched the TV over to the scoccer (Ozzie game) and was planted next to Andrew (who was in a t-shirt and undies with a blanket over him as he is still sleeping on the couch due to his bad back) and the other one was standing in the doorway chatting to me. My kids weren't up yet so I was getting their breakfast and clothes organised as I new we would be running late with the Sparkies there plus Andrew had a job interview in Wgtn at 10am, so I wanted to be organised.
Then in popped sparky number 3 and asked if there was any toast left - so I began making toast as well. You might think these boys were being rude but that is not the case at all, both Andrew and I know them quite well and it was really cute. If anyone knows me, they will know I am a real 'mother' type and just love fussing about, so I was as happy as Larry and when Reece and Adam finally woke up they thought it was really cool having all these guys watching TV with them........hehehe.
So we now have Dad totally hooked up and going (I rang not long ago and they had left) with a stove which means he can now cook for himself. I love my Dad to bits but it will be nice to have just my boys and Andrew for dinner again. Dad has been dying to get cooking for himself again as he reckons he has put on weight since eating with us (he lives on Chicken Tonight and Spaghetti Bol).
Andrew went for his interview (Sales Manager blah blah) and wanted to discuss it with me, so he picked me up for lunch................BIG MISTAKE!!!!!
We went to Mitre 10 Mega for lunch (no suprise there) and I got my usual chicken salad with a bowl of trim latte.
I am not going to tell you all that the Triple chocolate brownie I had didn't touch the sides, I think I may have actually inhaled it............LOL. You will also be pleased to know that I am now paying for it with massive heartburn *ouch*.
Since I haven't told any of you about the chocolate brownie - I expect everyone to gasp in suprise when I put on weight next week:-b (when will I ever learn).
I don't have much planned for the weekend apart from clearing out the storage unit we have, I am hoping we get it all done this weekend as I don't want to have to pay another week storage but the weather is suppose to get worse than it is now (which is cold and raining - shock horror).
I have my babies 2nd birthday next Saturday (1st July) so I may brave the shops and get him something. I have completely NO idea what to get him but I think if it involves The Wiggles or a Car of some sort, I will be safe.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Fashionable ........... NOT ME!
Jo and I had a lovely, yummy lunch at Mitre 10 Mega and on our way out, we both spotted gloves, hats and scarfs for the winter.
We both grabbed a pair of gloves and a hat each and I must say I was toastie warm this morning with them on. I also have a lovely scarf that Mum knitted me last year (same wool) in a different colour.
Getting back to my heading 'Fashionable...NOT ME!', I put on my work clothes this morning which consisted of red pants, bone and red top, black shoes, purple jacket, brown gloves and hat and gold, silver and bone scarf..............getting my drift. I didn't look in the mirror before I left for work (bad move) and it wasn't until I got to work and went to get in the lift (I know, I should of walked the 3 flights) which has a full length mirror in it, that I realised how multi-coloured I was and believe me IT WASN'T ATTRACTIVE!!!
I just cringed at myself and preceeded to take off nearly everything (I was then cold) so I didn't look like such a freak *sigh*. I really need some new clothes but don't have the time or money to do anything about it. Maybe if I just got a full length brown (to match gloves and hat) coat, that would hide everything underneath..................LMAO.
I made a really yummy chicken pasta bake for dinner and managed to only have 1 bread roll which is a HUGE improvement on what I usually have (3 or 4 minimum - I am a bread slave).
I also worked out that we are eating way too early (5.30pm), we use to eat this early because I was doing 2 jobs for a year and I was only home between 5 and 5.35pm so we got into the habit of eating about 5.20pm so we could all eat together and since I gave up the night job (5 months ago) we are still eating at the same time. Last night I cooked and took my time so we didn't eat until 6.15pm and I realised that all of us weren't looking for food afterwards. I ended up going to bed without feeling guilty and full and had a good night's sleep. New dinner time is now 6.15pm - 6.30pm.
I'm finding that I am drinking most of my water but I just can't do it during the day, either because I don't feel like water or I just don't think of it BUT I seem to be able to drink about 1.5lts later at night (dinnertime and later). Does this matter??? I'm not sure - I am still drinking the water but it is later at night and not during the morning/afternoon. Apart from having to go to the loo a couple of times a night I'm not sure if this is OK or not.......advise anyone?
Had the Chimney man come and clean our woodburner/chimney today and we found out it is a Kent fire (no name on it anywhere) and it is pretty old. We mentioned about the flue handle which is useless (jams etc) and he said because it is so old, it wouldn't be worth spending them money to get it fixed - great. So we are going to add this to the list of things we need to get/buy and hopefully will be able to get a new one by next year.
I can't believe all the pregnant bloggers at the moment, don't get me wrong - I love reading about all the preggie girls out there but there seems to be heaps at the moment announcing their pregnancies. Makes me wonder what was going on a few months ago that everyone got pregnant..........hahaha.

Yummy Lunch on the agenda
Jo and I are meeting at Mitre 10 Mega today for a chicken salad............yum! I am hungry just thinking about it and Jo can't wait to try it as well.
Went home last night and had a WW dinner which was lovely but then I was a bit peckish and so were the boys, so we managed to down 8 pieces of toast between us with cheese and tomato sauce......bad Rachel, bad!!!! I felt sick afterwards which was my punishment (will I never learn?)
Andrew went and got a load of firewood yesterday which was dry pine and we attempted to get the woodburner working (previous attempts hadn't created any heat) and I am pleased to report that we had a lovely warm house last night. We have been able to get the fire roaring but never any heat out of the vents and one of our flue adjustments is rusted, so we thought it was because of this but Andrew was adament it was also the wood we were using (our old plum tree out the back which we had to cut down due to a new deck being built) and I am pleased to say he was right (which I would never admit to him........hehehehe). Reece and Adam were both facinated with how Dad was building a fire and wanted to help, so they got to carry the wood in (kindling) from outside and then had to sit behind the fire guard while Dad built it up.
I've just re-read what I had written and god I can ramble...............LOL.
I'll leave it there and say goodbye and talk to you all again tomorrow :)

Weigh In
107.2kgs = Loss of 0.700grams.
Yep I'm happy with that because I have been doing a bit of 'rainy, wet, miserable weather' comfort eating and no exercise. So 700grams for 2 weeks isn't bad (stayed the same last week).
I had a boring weekend really, Saturday morning I stayed home with my kids and we just played games and did some colouring in and writing etc. Reece is now writing his own name without us having to write it for him first and he isn't 5 until the end of October so I think that is good? We think it is awesome and made sure he knew it and he is wanting to write all the time now. Adam came right Saturday afternoon but was then constipated all day Saturday and Sunday (poor wee thing).
Saturday afternoon I FINALLY got back to skating and took Reece and Andrew with me which was interesting. Andrew hasn't been on a set of skates for about 25 years and was really raw to begin with but by the time we left he had managed to move away from the side and was skating on his own (without holding on). Reece put on his skates and wanted to get going and of course fell over a couple of time and then got the shits with it and wouldn't even stand up. He just wanted them off and that was it, I even tried walking him around but he wasn't interested so he spent most of his time watching his Mum and Dad try skating.........hehehe. I did see Helena there and MAN she is good now, I couldn't believe how much she had improved and is looking really good also (you go girl!).
Sunday was freezing and we stayed inside all day with the heaters on. Me and the boys made afgan biscuits with chocolate icing and M&M's on them (ate about 4 too many).
Not much else going on in my neck of the woods.

O Man...............
I went to a Prenzel's party (alcohol, infused oils, vinigarettes etc) last night at my friends house and managed to only have 1 shot of alcohol and about 4 tastes of different oils (with a bit of bread) BUT (and there is always a but) I walked into the kitchen and there it was THE FOOD and I was a bit peckish so I thought I would have a carrot and celery stick (without dip) but then I just couldn't go past the mini sausage rolls and the magnificent apple cake - and on it went *major sigh*. A really good point to this evening was I got to meet Karen (a fellow blogger) who I have been dying to meet and we got on like a house on fire (hi honey!).
I was having a good week food wise - O Well, back into it today.
I did buy a bottle of Chocolate Cream which was really yummy and 2 vinigarettes (Citris and Avacardo - to die for).
I am such an Oprah fan and last night she had her 20th ON AIR anniversary that Andrew taped for me. I got home and jumped into my nice warm bed (love electric blankets) and watched that which was lovely and I cried at a couple of points..........hehehe, I'm such a big sook.
Not much else to say actually - I haven't been drinking my water like I should which is very naughty. I seem to be getting to about lunch time and then realising I haven't drank anything yet.

Cluck cluck..............
Can you hear me clucking from there?
Kate (a fellow blogger) had her second daughter (Natalia) yesterday and has posted some photo's and she is the most gorgeous little princess. Congrats again Kate and I'm sorry for leaving so many messages but it was sooooooooo exciting (thank Amie again for updating us).
Andrew has always wanted a little girl which would have been lovely but I ended up with 2 amazing little boys which is just perfect:) Anyway two kids seemed like more than enough kids to me (whatever sex) and the little darlings are very expensive as well, so I sold all of my baby stuff and only have a stroller, capsule and highchair left (which I intend to put on Trademe very soon) so there is NO WAY I could have another one but...............................................
Thank heavens Andrew doesn't know about this blog (my world) because he would be trying to get me pregnant as we speak................................LOL.
Anyway - back to reality! Have had another couple of excellent days eating but exercise???BAD!!! I have been freezing cold and going for a good old brisk walk would have warmed me up but I am such a sook.
We have been having the most awesome frosts lately, this morning my car doors were frozen shut and it took about 5 minutes (and heaps of water) to unstick them. Then another 20 minutes to defrost the car enough to drive..................opps, late for work.
Anyway I am working late again tonight so I'd better get back to it so I get home at a reasonable hour. Hubby is cooking spaghetti bol for dinner which means I will be having a WW meal as mince gives me wicked reflux (heartburn).
P.S. I am quite lucky Andrew isn't working at the moment because Kohanga rang to have Adam picked up as he has bad diarea (sorry about the spelling) which means he will be home for a couple of days.............joy!

Weigh in
Stayed the same................which is a bit disappointing but I do have TOM which doesn't help and at least I didn't put on but you know..........................
Anyway onward and upward I say!
Got the boys christened yesterday which was great to finally get done but BOY what a mission.
Reece (nearly 5) was a little angel and sat there quietly with his hyme book open and singing loudly but 'terror on legs' boy (Adam - 23 months) was an absolute nightmare!
I had him on my lap as he plays up even more for his father and he screamed, giggled, wiggled, backflipped the whole time. I can't remember singing one hyme or knowing what the minister was saying but we did manage to stand up when instructed and got the boys christened.
After the actualy ceremony, everyone went back to their seats for more prays, hyme etc but Adam and I cleared out of there. I took him for a walk around the block and let him run some energy off at a vacant section down the road which took up a half hour or so, so when we got back everyone was heading to the 'dining room' for a cup of tea and some morning tea.
I managed to give Adam to his Uncle Athol (also his Godfather) and he sat there and feed him everything he could get his hands on which was a nice break.
All in all it was lovely and we were home by 11.30am which was even better (about 2 1/2 hours all up). Adam went down for a sleep, Andrew golfed and Reece and I did some drawing and then I had a wee snooze for a hour while Reece went out to visit Poppy.
Hubby then got a cooked chook on the way home from golf and we just had that on rolls for dinner and the boys had left over sausages with baked beans (there favourite).
Andrew is applying for a few jobs (isn't working out with his Uncle at Concept Blinds) so we sat on the computer after the boys went to bed (I did get my ironing done somehow) until Midnight writing up application letters and updating his CV. Midnight struck and all the power went off in the street for well over an hour so off to bed we went.
Oh yeah - I DIDN'T get to skating AGAIN after having the best intentions of getting there because we were clearing out the shed to get all of Dad's stuff into his new granny flat and then had a moutain of stuff to sort through before re-stacking the shed and time just got away from us. We started at about 9am and didn't finish until after 5pm and we still have the garage to sort (now the shed is practically done)..................*sigh* never-ending.
I am feeling a bit better after Friday at work also. I arrived at work this morning and the other lady who works in the lab with me is off for 2 days due to a flu so I have a million things to do and I am just getting through one job at a time and not stressing. I figured that I have been a very loyal employee and if they choose to treat me like that I will not be going out of my way to accomodate them, I will do my job and that's it. I am actually hoping that Andrew will get a fabulous job and I will be able to leave here and get something else with a bit less stress?

I hate work!!!
I have just been reprimanded for having more than 30 minutes for lunch.............What the?
Plus it came from my boss's boss - even worse.
My boss is wonderful and basically doesn't care what I do as he know's everything gets done and we run ourselves up here (in the Lab), so when he had to come and tell me that his boss had mentioned it to him (must have come from some disgruntled employee - we have heaps...LOL) I went through the roof and pointed out all the extra hours I work (and don't get paid for) plus the morning and afternoon tea which we have that I NEVER get to take as I usually work through those just to get the basics of the job done..........blah blah blah - boy was I fired up. My boss kept saying "Don't worry Rach, you are talking to the converted - I couldn't run the place without you" so I told him that I had hoped he had defended me etc which he said he had but I told him to go back and say this, that and everything else or I would. So off he trotted and told him what I had said and reckons all is well now but I don't agree - HOW DARE HE QUESTION ME!!!!!!! I have worked in this place for over 18 years over 6 different departments and have always been a loyal employee........*major sigh*. OK, I've finished now.........LOL.
So that has put a real damper on my Friday and it is such a beautiful Friday with the sun shining and not a breeze in the air (unusual for Wellington). So I am going to go home and drink a big bottle of wine - JUST JOKING.
I have a nice weekend planned. Tomorrow I am going roller skating and then I have I have a friend and her kids coming around for a coffee. Sunday we are getting both the kids christened which will be great, I have mucked around for ages and have finally been able to get it organised (hopefully). Sunday afternoon will hopefully be quite and relaxing - yeah right! I have a mountain of housework and ironing to do (I didn't get around to my ironing last weekend so it has doubled).
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

A wee break
Well after the hectic few days I have had, I actually have 5 minutes peace so I thought I'd jump on here and give a quick update.
Feeling really good and positive this week and it feels good to feel like this (wish it happened continuously...hehehe). My eating has been 100% on track and my water has been average and my exercise has suffered this week with me working long hours but I feel I haven't been doing do badly overall.
Didn't get to Mitre 10 Mega for lunch today but fully intend to get there next week.
I have just finished reading other blogs and it is really awesome reading about the ladies who are totally in the ZONE at the moment. I do try and leave comments but don't always have time, but be sure I am reading.
Well it is 3.20pm and I am dying for a coffee, ta ta.

Busy, busy, busy
Work is MAD at the moment. I managed to get away from work at 6pm last night and I have had such a bad day that I want to get away no later than 5pm today.
I got home last night (late) and Andrew had my Vegetarian Lasagna waiting for me ...... YUMMO!!!! Out of all the WW meals, I definately like this one the best. Chicken hotpot is also another favourite. So I finished the day yesterday well under points, I have also been super good today and will also not go over points..........whew. I find that I am excellent during the week when I am in a controlled atmosphere but am USELESS at home (I must work on that...hehe).
Not much happening actually which is great, I hate drama but I seem to have heaps of it in my life.
A lady came into work today with her 6 week old baby girl and I was soooooooooo clucky it even suprised me. She was the cutest little thing I've seen and she weighed about the same at 6 weeks that my boys did when they were born (little fatties of mine).
I am hoping to go out for lunch with Jo tomorrow and we aren't 100% sure where to go, I suggested a couple of places in Petone that do really nice salad's (chicken salad's and stuff) and she doesn't mind either way but I have just thought of MITRE 10 MEGA's Chicken salad with sundried tomatoes and pinenuts...................my mouth is watering now....LOL. Her darling little girl isn't well so I am not sure if she will be able to make it, just have to wait and see.
It has been REALLY hard but I have been trying to drink all of my water. It seems that I can go to the toilet 100 times a day when it is freezing, without drinking my water but have managed to drink a few glass's a day.
I'm now going to catch up with a few more blogs, I wanted to yesterday but didn't get a chance........catch ya later!!!

Really quickly
107.9kg - loss of 2.8kg which isn't really that big a loss because last week I was feeling 'bloated' remember, so this is definately a better reading.
I have got back from the long weekend and work is horrible, it is sooooo busy with a million things having to happen at once plus being month end....*huge sigh*.
Anyway, just wanted to post scale reading and I will hopefully get to do a 'proper' post tomorrow.
I am just quickly going to read some other journals as I haven't been able to catch up with anyone for nearly a week.

Rainy weekends
Don't just just hate when you have a long weekend and it rains.................................
That's just what is happening in Wellington today.
Well I have been having a fabulous week, been a slack on the exercise but brilliant on my food.
Thursday night we went out for dinner at The Furnace and it was better than divine!
Shall I bore you with what I had? Oh Yes!
I started with Calamari (the real stuff) but only ate half of it and gave the rest to Andrew (how had Mussels) then for main I had Chicken Mediterrainian (sorry about the spelling but you know what I mean) which only came with 2 baby carrots, about 4 beans on a bed of rice. The meal wasn't that big so I managed to eat all of that and then finished with a beautiful French Chocolate cake with chocolate sauce (did I say I was having a brilliant week...........hahaha) that I also gave half to Andrew (he had sticky date pudding which I had a spoonful of and it was lovely) and I finished with a TRIM latte (balance..................LOL). I must admit though I felt I had controlled myself beautifully and didn't have that full bloated feeling once I had finished which was a pleasing and we were home before 8pm (god were're old) to give the kids a kiss goodnight.
I also had Friday off as leave and managed to go and get my eyebrows waxed and went to the Bendon shop and bought two new bra's. One of which is a sports bra with the criss-cross thing at the back and it was $70.00 (I had a voucher) and it was recommended to me by a friend. I put it on and it was pure luxury, I felt excellent in it and soooooooooo comfortable BUT the killer was trying to get it off, I nearly had to call the shop lady to help (very embarrasing!).
I bought it anyway and figured I would just have to suffer getting out of it each time. I also went to a place in Petone on my way home from work on Thursday called Mr Rental because they had a treadmill in the window. I went and asked about it and it is $100.00 a month (minimum of 3 months.......typical) and they deliver it, set it up and show you how to use it and come back and pick it up when your finished. Andrew and I have been wanting one for quite a while but the one's we like are $1500 - $2000.00 each and we want to make sure that we are going to use it for exercise (not as a clothes hanger) before we pay out money like that.
As soon as we get dad's place sorted and have a bit more room in the house, I think we might try it out?
I went and got my hair dyed and cut yesterday as I haven't been to the hairdressers for about 8 months (naughty ah?) and MAN I feel better now. I got it a shade darker and about 5 inches cut off.
Today I have my mate Jo coming over for a coffee (soon I hope) and then I am off to a 4 year old birthday party at McDonald's and then we have 2 friends (Andrew's cousins actually) coming for dinner and bringing the dinner (Indian), don't ya just love that!
Tomorrow I plan to do next to nothing apart from the ironing which is growing in a scary heap in the corner of my bedroom.
Hope everyone is also having a great weekend.................bye

Very Weird?
Well I was feeling a little 'less puffy' this morning so decided to get back on the scales and they read 108.4kgs. Now I know I can have a really good week sometimes but 2.0kgs in a day "I don't think so......." which still leaves me baffled as to what is going on?
So if I take today's reading (oh yes please!), I have lost 500g for last week. Still not as good as I thought I was going to do but soooooooooooo much better than a gain ah?
Thanks for all the lovely comments and support, I was really touched. I am learning that it is hard to write about things when you are having a bad day (or weigh in.........LOL) because you don't know what comments you will get back but I have had nothing but support.
I did have a really bad day yesterday, starting with french toast for breakky and then fish and chips for dinner (I know, I know...............naughty girl) I was really peeved yesterday and didn't realise I was such an emotional eater (must watch out for that in the future) but have given myself a slap in the face and am back on track.
I have bought my cereal to work for breakky, vita weats and fruit for lunch and I have marinated some chops for the boys for dinner but I will have a WW meal for ..........*satisfying sigh*.
It is my 5 year wedding anniversary on Thursday and Andrew and I are going to a local restaurant for dinner (Furnace) which I love, so I will really have to plan the next couple of days food wise. I also have Friday off on annual leave giving me an extra long weekend as we have Monday off for Queen's Birthday.........nice!
That's about it for today, feeling more positive and drinking gallons of water.

OMG..............it can't be?
110.4kgs................Nope this isn't a miss print, I got on and off the scales 5 times before believing I have had a 1.5kg gain!!!!! I really can't work this out (seriously!), I definately didn't exercise as much as I wanted but I drank all my water and my food was pretty damn good so I can't figure it out. The only thing I can say in my defense is, yesterday I woke up feeling bloated (I mean REALLY bloated) and even Andrew made a comment that I looked 'kind of puffy'. I didn't take much notice as it isn't TOM time or anything like that but I woke up again this morning and I can see that I am a bit puffy. I can't take my rings off, in fact I can't even budge them and I can feel they are quite tight (they usually slide on and off with ease) but I have no explanation as to why? I was hoping for a pretty good loss this week and am just dumpfounded by this result.
So as you can imagine I am totally devastated and I am having the worse day. I have had no water today and just eaten 2 pieces of french toast for breakky (emotional eater ah?). I am now sitting here absolutely kicking myself and will not have to work even harder this week.............*bows head in shame*.
While I'm on a downer, I had a shitty weekend also - I didn't get to roller skating which really peeved me off and then didn't get to aqua last night because my oldest son isn't feeling well (poor baby, its not his fault), with the horrible weather and my hubby out golfing all day Saturday we really didn't get much done apart from going to Mitre 10 (for 3 hours) getting all the finishing touches for Dad's granny flat (ie. paint, tiles etc).
Anyway, I am now going to go and read some of your journals to help give me a boost and get some inspiration.

A little is better than nothing........
I guess that saying can be applied to quite a lot of things but I was meaning my scratchies yesterday. I managed to win another $6.00 ($4.00 & $2.00) which was excellent.
I got myself all dressed for the gym before I left work and off I hopped until I got to the gatehouse (which I have to pass to get to our work gym) and the security guard told me that there were 2 people being assessed for the gym (which takes ages and they want full range of all the equipment) but I could hang around for about 40 minutes if I was keen.................rrrrrrrr NOT!! So instead I went home and got dinner on early for a change. I cooked the family steak, chips (home made wedges actually) and eggs but I am really not a steak girl (chicken all the way!) so I just had a couple of eggs on toast which was yummy. Andrew had also bought an apple pie for dessert and I am pleased to announce I didn't have any at all!
After dinner the boys and myself had to get the 'shared lunch' organised for Kohanga the next day and Adam wanted pikletes and Reece wanted Lasagna (?) so we spent the next hour or so cooking and I only let a small bite of Adams piklete into my mouth.
I have been on my own today at work as the other lady has an all day meeting on 'Hazard Management' - so glad I got out of that one - so it has been really busy.
I do love being busy but not on a Friday!!!!
Only an hour to go and I'm off home to get the kids feed and bathed and into their PJ's and Andrew and I are off to a friends for dinner. I'm not 100% sure what we are having but I am guessing we will order in Chinese as this is an old couple and they very rarely have 'take aways' but they know we love chinese (same as them)..............hhhhhhmmmmmmm gunna have to think about what I will have.
Don't have much planned for the weekend, we have the electrician coming tomorrow to finish up Dad's granny flat and that is about it. I am hoping he leaves early as Andrew will be golfing and I want to get to roller skating again (sucker for punishment).
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

I love lotto
Eating and drinking (water of course) was excellent yesterday and I managed a short walk at lunchtime. All good!
Got home early for a change and we now have a french door in our spare room at the back of our house which makes the room so much lighter and bigger (feels that way anyway). Andrew is going to build a deck out the back and we thought we will now use the room as a rumpus for the kids rather than a bedroom as it will be a through-fair come summer (BBQ's on the deck - oh yeah!).
Dad's granny flat is also nearly finished - plumber has hooked up the water and the plasterer finished yesterday, so we are only waiting on the sparky now to hook up all the lights and power points etc and Dad can paint and then we can carpet.................also all good!
But the best part of yesterday was getting my lotto on the way home.
Every Wednesday I stop at our local Caltex Service Station and fill the car (eeeekkkkk!) and get my Big Wednesday Lotto ticket, this week there was no one else in the shop and I had a heap of old tickets in my wallet so I asked the guy to quickly zap them through his machine as I knew I had a couple of bonus tickets and 1 or 2 scratchy's but once he was done I had $95.00 owing plus 3 bonus ticket -- yee ha! So I got my Big Wednesday ticket plus my Saturday Lotto ticket and about 5 scratchy's (I usually get 1 or 2) and still came out with $58.00.
So it is morning tea now and I am sitting here with my coffee and I am going to scratch all my tickets...........hehehehe.

A nothing day
I had a 'nothing day' yesterday, nothing really happened apart from work, work, work......
I didn't get out at lunch as it was piddling down so I thought I would go to the gym after work instead BUT at 3.50pm I got some major work dumped on me and had to stay late to get it all done. I could have gone to the gym afterwards but I was really tired and I would not have seen the kids before they went to bed and I hate that.
I am getting back into my WW meals and I really enjoy them plus it is easy not having to think about what else to cook (lazy ah?). Andrew usually gets dinner started for all of us by the time I get home but last night we just had an 'easy' night..................love that!
I am going down to Petone to pay some rego's on my truck and our trailer and then meeting up with a dear friend (old neighbour) for lunch. Looking forward to a really yummy salad or something.
Here's my summary of yesterday:
Food: Excellent
Water: 1.5lts (very average)
Exercise: Nothing (worked late…….gggrrrrrr)

End of Day 1
Well day 1 went splendidly, I drank my water, did my exercise and managed to control my eating (even at dinner which is my worse time of the day).
I am feeling very positive at the moment and have had some lovely comments with wishes of support which is always really nice.
Don't ya just wish you could keep this positive feeling all the time? Anyway - onwards and upwards I say!
Didn't really do much else last night apart from my moutains of ironing which took me nearly 2 hours *groan* but at least it is done and out of the way for another week (or two).
I am really looking forward to being able to fit back into some of my winter clothes I have in my wardrobe that I bought last year when I got down to 93.6kgs. At the moment I have 2 pair of work pants and 2 or 3 tops that fit and I bet everyone is already sick of me wearing the same old things day after day but I refuse to go and buy bigger sizes!!!!
It is absolutely piddling down today, so instead of my lunchtime walk I think I will go to the gym (left my rain coat in our other car).
I thought I would keep track of my progress on here as well so I can look back and see how much I have improved (positive thinking...............LOL).
Food: Excellent
Water: 1.5 – 2.0lts
Exercise: 2.5km walk at lunch

Back to reality
What an awesome weekend I had. We got into Wellington about 4pm and checked into our room, I must admit I was a disappointed with our room as it was a bit dated and small but 'who cares' it was ours for a night and we got over it pretty quickly. We had taken some nice clothes to get dressed up in for dinner etc but decided we would go for a walk across the road to the
Wellington Markets as I have a cousin there who has a food stall. When we left there, we thought we would go for a quick stroll around town and ended up at Reading theatre, where we went into 'Stella' for a drink (or two) and looked at what was playing as I have been wanting to see 'Sione's Wedding' for ages. We figured we had about 2.5 hours before the next sitting so we thought we would go back to our room and get dressed etc but looked at our watch and it was 6pm already and we were starving so off we went to a really nice Malaysian place (Satay Kampong on Allen St) in our jeans and sweatshirts and have an awesome dinner then into the streets again to entertain ourselves. I tell ya what, we could have just sat on the side of the street and watched everyone walking past...................god there's some weirdo's in Wellington!
Anyway - back to my story - back to the Duxton we went and up to the bar and sat there and watched the Canteberry game (of course!) and I managed to drink quite a few gins during that game and a Mars bar desert thingy that wasn't very nice (I should have known better ah?).
Back to the room where Andrew ran me a hot bubble bath and I think I must have fallen asleep in the bath for about an hour before he came back in to check on me....................LOL Bliss!
Had a big cooked breaky brought to our room at 9am the next morning (I had an omelete and toast) but I had woken up at 7.27am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got dressed and sat at the window watching the comings and goings of Wellington. Andrew couldn't believe I wasn't snuggled up in bed (either could I) but I just couldn't sleep and didn't want to spoil it for him so I just sat at the window. After breaky we went into Wellington for another walk as we had a midday checkout and stopped for a coffee before heading back to checkout.
On the way home we decided to stop at the Warehouse and Mitre 10 to get a few more things for Dad's granny flat and that's when Mum rang to see where we were.........hehehe. We arrived home at about 2.30pm and then had my mate (Jo) and her family drop in for a coffee.
We all went to the Cossie Club for dinner as it was Mum's last night and I managed to eat all the wrong things that combined with my shocking weekend and shocking last couple of days before that showed up on the scales this morning..................ready for it....................
108.9kgs which is a GAIN of 1.3kgs in a week *sigh*. It always amazes me how quickly I can put weight on but it takes FOREVER to get off............my own fault so I am not going to moan about it.
Anyway I talked about doing my 8 week challenge thing myself but I have now changed that to a 7 week challenge as it is my birthday in 7 weeks and I am DETERMINED to get under 100kgs by that time. That is 9kgs in 7 weeks (approx 1.3 per week), now I know you are all saying 'that's too much' or 'that's unrealistic' but I know I can do it if I set my mind to it and EXERCISE. I talked to Andrew about it on Sunday morning and told him that I have to knuckle down and especially get to the gym more that once a fortnight. He said no worries, do what you have to and I'll manage (god love him). So I have started as of today and had my cereal for breaky, vitaweats for lunch and I have a weight watchers meal for dinner. I have my water bottle sitting in front of me - arghhhhhhhhhh just took a swig - and I am going to give it my all.
I'll keep you all posted on my progress......................ta ta for now.
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr FRIDAY!
Well I have to say that I am a naughty girl. Mum has been making some really nice meals, breakfast, lunch and dinners and they haven't all been 'diet friendly' shall we say and I have eaten every one of them............*sigh*. I am going to dread getting on my scales on Monday morning but it is my own fault so I will take whatever it throws at me.
Exercise has been non-existent which just makes things worse *another sigh*.
Mum goes back to Aussie on Monday morning (not that I am blaming her for me being naughty as I have been the one that has been putting things in my mouth) so I fully intend to get back to basics (have I said that before?).
Track, plan, exercise - no excuses!!!!!
I don't think I am going to hear back from 'Downsize Me' so I figured I might do it myself. I will write myself up an 8 week plan (food and exercise) and stick to it and see just how much weight I can lose being 100% committed. I love a challenge but I am in a bit of a slump, so I will try and set myself up to challenge myself and I know I will lose weight and feel heaps better and that will give me the kick start I keep trying to find.
I have just been stuck in a Health & Safety/Emergency/Civil Defence meeting for the last 3 hours and I got there late which meant that only the seats at the front were left and I had to sit there the whole time and look totally interested...........aarrrggggghhhhhhh! Don't get me wrong, I am interested in all of that stuff but I am a Industrial Medic, First Aider and Civil Defence Emergency person - so I have been trained in all of this and have only done refresher courses recently so it was the same old stuff over and over again *yawn*. I suppose it did make Friday afternoon go a bit faster which is always a good thing.
Well I'm off on my 'romantic night' to the Duxton tomorrow night and I am just busting to get there. They said that check-in was anytime after 1pm and check-out was anytime before 1pm the next day and they asked me when did I anticipate to arrive and depart and guess what I said???????? "We will arrive at 1.01pm and depart at 12.59pm which I thought was hillarious (and I was TOTALLY serious) but the person at the Duxton didn't think it was that funny (stick in the mud!) but we do intend to get there early and maybe have a bit of a snooze before we go out for dinner and then find a nice bar afterwards to have a drink in and then sleep till noon the next day - - - -bliss - - - - -.
More than likely won't get to update again until Monday, so I will catch you then with all the goss on the weekend. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

My new best friend
Good ole' George Forman, that's my new bestest friend............LOL
I got home last night with some rump steak and chicken breasts and quickly made up a nice lettuce salad and threw some oven bake chips into the oven and turned on the 'george forman grill'. I can honestly say that by the time the chips were cooked 20 minutes I had cooked all 4 large steaks and 2 chicken breasts, set the table and was dishing up the kids meals......quick, quick, quick (love that!). I sat down with 1 chicken breast and salad and only a few chips and felt very satisfied plus it only took 20 minutes all up.
I now can't wait to see what else I can cook for myself with my new toy *giggle*.
Mum has cooked chicken pie with steamed vegetables for tonight, so that will be lovely. I also have my eldest sister coming over tonight as she hasn't seen Mum since she got here.
Andrew just rang me to say he picked up the kids early from Kohanga and is going to take them to McDonalds for a play, so I am going to meet him there on the way home and have a coffee.
Because Dad's granny flat is currently getting built, he has been spending most days and evening in the house so as not to get in the builders way PLUS Mum has been staying and when they divorsed it was all very friendly etc but they still have the occasional dig at each other which can be really draining so Andrew and I are taking advantage of Mum being here and are going to have a night in town while she watches the kids.
I got a awesome deal for the Duxton (which I love) on that www.whotif.com website for Saturday night which includes a late (1pm) check-out, 2 cooked breakfasts and a bottle of bubbly waiting for us in the room - - - bliss - - -, so this will give us a bit of time alone which will be well deserved. I am now counting down the hours .............. LOL.
Talk to ya later.....................

COLD, COLD, COLD
I am soooooo cold, what happened to spring? It has been freezing in Wellington for the last week or so and I have had enough. We are suppose to be getting air conditioning installed in our building, there are only 2 of us on the top floor along side the canteen and they (the powers at be) have decided that only the ground, first and second floors are getting air conditioning and not us two on the third floor................how bad is that?
The radiators that we have have now been disconnected while they are installing the air conditioning and they won't be turned back on which means, everyone gets lovely air conditioning at the end of it all except us plus we won't even be getting back the old shitty radiators *sigh*. It looks like it is going to be an extra cold winter.
OK, I've finished moaning now.....................LOL
Mum cooked an awesome dinner last night (Shepherd's pie), she was a bit suprised when she asked what I wanted and I said Shepherd's pie because I think she wanted to cook something a bit fancier but I reckon there's nothing better on a cold night than that. It was lovely and I ate far to much and suffered for it the rest of the night (heartburn).
I finally get to pick up my truck today (well its actually a Nissan Patrol 4x4 but it feels like a truck) as the mechanic has fixed a whole heap of things BUT he also needs to fix the turbo in it but the parts won't arrive for 4 days and I need it now as Mum is here and driving her car (which I drive when she is in Aussie). It is costing an arm and a leg but at least when I get it back it will be humming.
Not much else happening really - Oh yeah............with Mum here, she has offered to watch the kids on Saturday night so Andrew and I can go away for the night and go out for dinner and then sleep in the next morning (bliss) and we thought about Palmy, then Wellington City and have now decided (we think) that we will just go and stay at the Totara Lodge which is just around the corner because it has the best restaurant and I have been dying to go back there.
Plus we can drink and then just walk next door, crash and then have a sleep in the next morning.........pathetic ah? But that's all we want to do, spend a bit of time together and have a sleep in which 2 little boys waking us up at 6.30am in the morning.
Well I'd better get back to work...........yuk!

Weigh In
107.6kg = 0.300g LOSS
I'm quite pleased with this as I have been VERY slack with my exercise and my eating on the weekend had a lot to be desired.
So I'll take it and run thank you.
Mother arrived on Saturday morning (1am) and the boys are still really excited that she is here.
She is on a mission to clean my oven today (told ya) so I will hopefully have it sparkling by the time I get home - don't ya just love that!
Mother's Day was really nice, the kids got me a 'George Forman Grill' which I have been wanting for ages. We had a lovely chicken roast for dinner last night so I am hoping to try my new grill out tonight. I got a little bit of a sleep-in and then Andrew made me a really nice omelete for breakfast and off he went to Golf, so Mum and I stayed home with the heater on and played with the kids. My sister and about 4 kids (only 2 being her's) turned up for a couple of hours in the afternoon and that was about it.
Oh yeah, I meant to mention about that Pasta Cooker thing.........USELESS!!!!! I tried it out and it said to put the pasta in, fill it will boiling water and leave it in there for as long as the pasta instructions said so (15 - 20 minutes) which I did and when I drained it, it wasn't even half cooked.........gggrrrrrr. I am going to give it one more go and if it doesn't work - back it goes. For $40.00 I am taking it back if it doesn't work.
I intend to get my water into me this week (I have been really slack with the cold weather) and get my eating back into check.

Triple Chocolate Brownie
I was weak and gave in....................We (2 friends and myself) went to Mitre 10 Mega again for lunch because I had told them about the yummy warm chicken salad and that's what I ordered. They both said that they were going to have the brownie because it looked sooooooo nice and asked if I wanted one, my brain immediately said NO THANKS but YES THANKS came out of my mouth??????? I then sat there eating it, telling myself I was a bad bad girl but it was really good and I just couldn't stop. They both had cream with there's and I didn't, so some weird part of my brain told me I was being good (go figure?). My salad was nice though...................LOL.
Not much to report today, the weather in Wellington can't get much worse. It is windy, raining (continuously) and cold plus there is fog everywhere. I've got Mum who is suppose to be arriving tonight from Aussie where it is still hot and lovely, won't she love the change......NOT!
Went to my sister's last night for the 'Linen party' and I was plesantly suprised. The brand was an Australian brand called 'Lorraine something or other' and it was lovely quality and the prices were too bad either. I managed to get a really nice christmas table runner ($23.00)and a big firm pillow for myself ($33.00). We then went to Pak N Save on the way home and got a BIG shop since Mum's coming and my cupboards are bare and then got home around 11pm. I was so tired that I didn't get any housework or ironing done which means I will have to do it tonight *sigh*.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Slacker
Well I didn't go for my walk yesterday, I could say it was because my knee was still a little bit sore but really it was because I am a lazy tart. Then to top things off I had chinese takeaway for dinner...............naughty, naughty, naughty!
I was running so late this morning that by the time I got the kids dressed, feed and bags packed for school, I raced out the door (running late again) and didn't have any breakfast or take any lunch..............not going to be a good day I'm guessing.
We have a canteen at our work but everything is deepfried but I did manage to get 2 bits of white toast (smothered in butter thanks to the canteen staff) and have put a little bit of strawberry jam on them.
I told Andrew that I might be home a bit late tonight as I have 10 thousand things going on at work today and then I have to be at my sister's house for a Linen party at 7pm so I suggested that he make spaghetti for dinner which is quick and easy and I can try out my new gadget thing to cook the pasta in. I got it from Briscoes and you put the pasta in it, fill it will boiling water, put the lid on and it cooks in the container and then it has a strainer on the top - so you just tip it out onto a plate. I usually drain my spaghetti once its cooked so I don't know how that will work but I will give it a try...........I love new toys.
My mother arrives from Australia late tomorrow night so I am going to do the big clean up tonight and get it out of the way (ironing, washing, bathrooms etc). The one thing she does do that I love is CLEAN MY OVEN, I hate that job and she loves it (weird ah?) so at least I know I will have a clean oven by the weekend. We are putting her in the boys room (they currently share) and putting Adam (still in a cot) in our room while she is here because Andrew uses the spare room now for an office (and its a mess) plus we are hoping to get french doors put in next week, so there might be a gaping hole in the wall for a day or two. Reece thinks this is the best idea since sliced bread as he can sit up and talk to Nana all night and then get into bed with her in the morning for a cuddle................HAHAHAHAHA. My mother usually sleeps to about 10am (retired) and doesn't usually have a 4 year old waking her at 6.15am for a cuddle in a single bed - can't wait to see that!
Well I am really busy, so I'd better get back to it. Ta ta for now.

Mitre 10 Mega
I just had the best Warm chicken salad I have ever had in my life and it was at mitre 10 mega!
Andrew and I went to drop off my Nissan Patrol at Turbo and Diesel in Seaview as it needs about $3000.00 or $4000.00 work on it as all the seal have gone etc due to the new diesel, so they are going to look at it and give me a total quote.......argh!
Anyway - back to my chicken salad, it had huge sundried tomato's and pinenuts and 2 different dressings (sweet chilli and mayo) ON THE SIDE! I loved that they put it on the side as the 'norm', so I had the choice whether or not to put some onto the salad (which I didn't). I then finished off with a trim latte and now feel full and content.
I nearly ordered the triple chocolate brownie (which I have had in the past and it is divine) but Andrew sutlely asked if I really wanted that and I said 'no, I don't'.......aren't I a good girl!
My leg is nearly back to normal today and I think that is due to me resting it but I reckon it will be OK tomorrow for me to go for a nice long walk. Everyone keeps asking me if I will ever go roller skating again and my answer is 'hell yes!', one little sore knee isn't going to stop me.
I have my nephew's birthday this weekend so will miss skating but I will be back the week after.

I'm actually quite pleased with that (no I'm not insane) because I have TOM and I usually put on a minimum of 1kg, so I figure I am actually 0.400g down...................LOL.
I have had a sore throat and running nose since last weekend but nothing has really come of it apart from me losing my voice. As of yesterday I didn't have a voice at all, all I could do was whisper (much to hubby's pleasure). I am back at work today and I am croaky but at least I have some voice. So with me yesterday with a sore knee, limping, no voice.......I was a sight for sore eyes.........hahahaha!
I rested my knee yesterday which has done wonders and it feels heaps better today but there will be no walking at lunchtime today.
I also got a response back from 'Downsize me' with an application form which is about 15 pages long and I have to attach a photo and have it back to them by 9am tomorrow morning. We have a digital camera here at work so I think I will take a photo today at work and just attach that.
I hadn't told Andrew that I had applied so when he rang me this morning and asked how I was and what was I doing, I said "well, I am actually sitting here filling the the application form for Downsize Me" and he laughed and said "you hate me seeing your body, how are you going to go on TV and show the whole of New Zealand"..............mmmmmmmm hadn't really thought of that in detail but I told him it wouldn't be a problem. I haven't told him it is for 8 weeks either yet because I don't want to stress him in case I don't get on. In fact I don't know how I would swing it if I had to have 8 weeks away from work and family???????
I really don't know how it works at all. One of my girlfriends said to me on the weekend that they are replaying it on TV at the moment, either channel 5 or 6 (Prime I think) so if anyone see's it, give us a yell please.

Skater Chic !!!!!!!!!!
I had the most fun day on Saturday!! I haven't laughed so much in a long time and had such good company to share the day with. I met up with Jo and Helena at the skating rink on Saturday and we got our skates on and off we went, now Helena has even bought her own skates (which are very nice I might add) and has the skating thing pretty much down pat but Jo and I were a little less - shall we say - coordinated.
Just trying to stand once we had the skates on was a bit of a mission but we soon got into the swing of things and all 3 of us were on the rink. Jo took the right approach and went nice and steady but not me - oh no - I figured that I was more stable the faster I went (which was right) but the only problem with that is, the faster you are going, the more it hurts when you fall.
I had the most embarrasing fall (hollywood worthy) down one end of the rink when I tried to avoid a young child and ended up spread eagle on the deck, legs which haven't done (and weren't meant to do) the splits for years and a knee which took all the impact.
Jo and Helena didn't see me (thank god) so I only had a few young kids that had a bit of a giggle.
I got back on my bike (so to speak) and carried on skating, didn't really feel that bad until that night when Andrew and I went up for a meal at the Cossie Club with Jo and Chris and my knee was getting stiffer and stiffer. I was trying to hide it because dear old hubby would have said "told ya so" and I wasn't having any of that (because I intend to get back to the rink asap) so I hobbled along but this morning while trying to get out of bed to go to the loo....................OMG!!!
Pain like nothing I have felt, someone was stabbing me with very sharp knives in the side of my knee and I could hardly put my foot on the ground.
Andrew (suprisingly) was very supportive and wanted to run me a hot bath but I was scared I wouldn't be able to get out of it........................LOL, so he rubbed some antiflame cream on it for me. It is now feeling a bit better but I am just taking it easy today at home.
So an unfortunate end to my skating experience but it WILL NOT stop me because I had the time of my life and fully intend to get there as much as possible - I might even look for some skates on Trademe.
So a lovely day skating (and meeting the lovely Helena for the 1st time), then a lovely evening with my mate Jo and her hubby Chris (the meal was horrible though with not a lot of healthy choices) and home and in bed by about 11.30pm (I think).......LOVELY!
I have just gotten off the phone with another dear dear friend - Jax - who now lives in Whangarei. We use to live in the same street in Lower Hutt but her hubby got another job and they had to more. I just hate when you find a really good mate and you love their company and have such fun together and then they have to move away but luckily we have stayed great friends and still keep in touch regularly.
Well I promised the kids I would help them with their colouring in, so best I go and do that.

I am such a Wally
I have just read my post from late last night (I'll put it down to tiredness) about not being able to find the website of the downsize me program and then realised it was because it is a EMAIL ADDRESS NOT A WEBSITE............Duh!!!
So I am going to EMAIL them and ask about it..............can't hurt right?
A quick walk yesterday but nothing to be proud of and I am off for lunch with a friend today which I will walk to and back but again only a 10 minute walk there and back.
I am HOPING to catch up with Jo and Helena tomorrow afternoon at the Skating rink!! I have been building myself up for it for 2 weeks and am really looking forward to it.
I use to be a 'speed' skater when I was about 12 when I lived in Australia and loved it but that was 'going fast and straight', I never mastered the skating backwards or doing spins or anything like that but I am hoping the other girls might give me some tips *wink*.
I don't have much else planned for the weekend (boring ah?) but will try and fit some more exercise in.
Right, off to right to channel 3 about the 'downsize me' program.

DOWNSIZE ME
I was watching the Biggest Loser tonight and in one of the ad breaks there was an ad for people to ring or go to the website if they wanted to be a contestant on 'Downsize Me' New Zelands version of The Biggest Loser and I didn't ge the phone number but I thought I had the website sussed but I can't find it. They said it was downsizeme@slingshot.co.nz but I can't find it.
Did anyone else get it?

Work, Work and more Work
Well I'm feeling a bit guilty that I didn't do any exercise at all yesterday.
I was planning to go out at lunch but it started raining and my rain jacket was at home, so I then thought "Well I'll just go to the gym after work". Work got really busy and then I had some last minute tests I had to run (I work in a laboratory) so I didn't get out of here until after 6pm and I was too stuffed to even think of the gym and was back here again at 7.20am this morning....argh!
There are two of us that work in the Lab and our job is really a 3 person job (overworked and underpaid - the usual story) but she is on leave today so I am head down, bum up.
Hence this short boring post for the day..................sorry.

All I can say is "WOW"
I went and seen Debb Webber from 'Sensing Murder' last night and "WOW" she is awesome.
The producers from the Sensing Murder program were there and I didn't realise it was produced in Wellington..................GO WELLINGTON!!!!
Anyway - Andrew and I hurriedly picked the kids up, got them (and Pop) fish and chips for dinner, got changed and shot into Wellington. We arrived at about 6.10pm and high tailed it over to the Green Parrot for our 6pm booking. Now I have here that the Green Parrot is excellent but I beg to differ, all the food is is Grills (Big breakfast style). There wasn't one healthly choice on the menu except for a 'side salad'. I ended up having the rump steak and pasta and it was horrible, heavy and by the time I was half way through I felt sick. Andrew managed to polish off the remainer of the steak but that was it. He had lamb chops, chips, eggs etc and absolutely loved it. So we won't be going back there again!!!
Went over to the Michael Fowler Centre and waiting for my sister and niece to arrive and in we went. We were quite impressed with our seats and had an awesome view of the huge screen which was on the stage. Debb came out and basically went around the audience and picked people out that had 'souls' standing next to them wanting to talk *shiver*.
I must admit that some of them started out very general but when she actually got into it, it was amazing how accurate she was. She was on for over 3 hours and even when we breaked for 10 minutes, she kept talking to people. She seemed like a really geniune women and I was very impressed to have seen her live. (and no, she didn't pick us out for a reading.......thank god!)
The downside to the whole night was half way through her show I began getting a headache and by the end of the show I felt like I was going to throw up it was that bad. I managed the car ride home and dosed up on Panadols and went straight to bed but I have woken up with it this morning, so another dose of Panadols.
Apart from my horrible dinner last night, my food was excellent and I managed a really good half hour walk with a slight incline. I have been looking at it (an overbridge) for the last couple of days and kept thinking "I'll tackle that next week" but yesterday I gave it a go and was pleasantly suprised with myself. Water was fantastic (pee'ed all day long.........you didn't need to know that ah?) and I must admit, I am feeling a little better already.

Subway
I just love subway, I have seen all the ad's on TV and in magazines and know that there are 6" subs that are only 6g of fat but COME ON PEOPLE!!!!! I can down a foot long without it even touching the sides................LOL. I have managed to stick to either a chicken fillet or ham foot long on roasted garlic bread which all sounds wonderful but for some reason when it comes to dressing, I mean to say 'ranch' but 'honey mustard' just jumps right out of my mouth........hate that!
I went for a walk at lunch yesterday and headed down the main street in Petone as I love looking in all the shops and as I rounded one corner, Andrew (Husband) drove by in his car and stopped to pick me up. We both hadn't had lunch so we went to Subway and got our lunch and ate it there, we even had an adult conversation that wasn't interupted by small children vying for our attention................a miracle believe me.
I then walked back to work, hoping to work some of it off (wishful thinking I know, I know).
My breakfast and dinner was really good and my water is getting better and better everyday.
The forecast for today is for some showers this morning which I am hoping is wrong as I want to go for another walk at lunch (and I could melt if it rains you know) as I won't get a chance after work as Andrew and I are going out for dinner in Wellington (Green Parrot) and then a show at the Michael Fowler Centre for a women called Debbie Webber who is on the Tuesday night program 'Sensing Murder'. She is a women who senses spirits and whatnot and I love all that sort of thing, so can't wait to see that. I have planned out my eating today to try and give myself as many points as possible tonight.
Catchya tomorrow.

Weigh In Day
Well I'm pleased to say that the scales said 107.3kgs this morning which is 2.1kgs down from last week and only 2.2kgs down from 5 weeks ago when I re-started again.
I am really stoked with that and I feel that just taking baby steps is working. I monitored my eating much more last week, tried to drink all my water, didn't eat after 7pm (majority of nights) and walked three days. So this week I intend to walk (or gym) 5 days a week and be a good girl with my food.
My lowest I can remember being is 93.6kgs which was about this time last year and I had started on 126.9kgs February 2002 but I am now restarting on 109.5kgs (which was 5 weeks ago).
My ultimate goal is to be at least down to 75kgs by the time my son starts school at the end of October (30th October) but my WW goal weight is 68kgs which at this stage is just an unreal goal so I will concerntrate on my mini goals - first one being to get to 101kgs by the end of May.
I know (from past experience) that the more I lose the better I feel and the more energetic I get, and I also know to set myself high goals or I just get bored with it all if they are too easy......weird eh?
My weekend was pretty uneventful, Sunday was spent at home with my boys while my Hubby and Dad dug a very big trench for the cabeling that needs to be done for the granny flat we are building for my Dad at the back of our Garage (already has a sleepout and loo). They were both tired and sore and VERY wet as the weather was horrible to say the least.
Reece wanted to look like his Dad and help, so I had to dress him in the same clothes with his gumboots on and gave him a spade to help but then had to calm him down when his Dad scrowled him for putting the dirt back in after he had taken it out....................LOL my poor baby.
Had a lovely roast chicken dinner last night and even managed to get dinner into the crock pot for tonight (I love being organised).
